Can we just take a moment to appreciate Tim’s videoing and editing skills, to get his smoothly exiting the elevator and entering the suite shot?? *Bravo, I say, Bravo* 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
You're right! I've thought about what a great job he does with it all, but have never said anything(!) ... not taking his skills or talents for granted & glad you pointed it out. 💫
I love how he makes it feel like you’re actually travelling with him. I’m suffering with a chronic illness at the moment and I used to love travelling, but I can for the foreseeable future, but I’m sure I will again one day, but for now, this channel helps me see things that I can’t right now!
Same same but my chronic illness currently is packing to move while sick so i get it girl. Its a great channel to help distract and not feel isolated. Wishing you speedy recovery ❤
Hi, Tim. I'm from Jersey and I wanted to say thank you for visiting the Island. It's a very historic Island, lots of tourists, mostly French, come to visit. The weather is quite mixed like in the UK. The prices here are quite high but the quality, overall, is good. Once again, thank you for coming.
I'm English and love Jersey - I've stayed in hotels and B&Bs. IME pre Covid fantastic, post Covid serious lack of customer service and enormous price hikes. I wont go again until they sort that out - it's cheaper for me to go to Crete for a week. And the problem is that the majority rule in Jersey is from very wealthy people; I guess they'll loosen up when there is no-one to do their nails / pool / dog groom/walk / gardening / cleaning etc. One thing I found interesting was that there were (pre Covid / Brexi?) there were loads of eastern european workers - why couldn't our young go there to work???
I have been to the island twice. The fist at the end of the covid restrictions and last year and loved every minute of it. Such a lovely island. As well as visiting most of the tourist attractions I loved St Brelades Bay.
Lived in Jersey for three years, met my husband and married there - many happy memories of Jersey, my husband passed away in 2017 - we loved staying there, back in 1973 the night life was great!
Thank you Tim, going through incredibly horrible depression. Not a good day. Just watching the beautiful scenery and your wit make me laugh. Thank you so much!
Stayed here 49 years ago as a 10 year old. It doesn’t seem to have changed that much. My lasting memory of the hotel was my parents being told that I had to wear a jacket for dinner - seems that this rule has been relaxed! My parents have returned several times over the years for special occasions: weddings and Christmas parties for friends on the island. Always spoke highly of the place.
I had the most relaxing of holidays on Jersey back in the 1980's. Never experienced anything like that since. Very calm, recreative, and makes you totally unwind.
Hello from Ohio in the states. Love your channel! I am confined to bed due to a spinal injury and I travel vicariously thru your channel. I especially love the videos that include your lovely family. Liked 👍, subscribed👍
Never been to Jersey but it's on my to-do-list. Hotel looked great and the room was terrific especially the balcony views. I think your shower/wardrobe sandwich assessments are spot on!
Love your videos, Tim! This place seems wonderful and that pool in the sea was absolutely stunning! I’d really love to know more about if you report issues in the room to the staff, (from smaller issues like the cobwebs all over the outdoor furniture, to larger issues like that really concerning leak running down the wall), and what their response is. I think there’s a lot of value in knowing how the hotel staff handles any issues. And would hopefully help them to do better for the next guests.
I've binged a fair few of these now and I have to say, really well done. I can honestly admit that this is the only channel I watch where I never skip a single second.
Hi Tim. Your video brings back memories here :) Me, my mum, dad and sister visited Jersey some years ago. We came over by boat (never again!) We had a cabin on the way over but on the way back we travelled in the day and both me and my mum were terribly sick sick :) We stayed in a lovely Bed and Breakfast. We walked out the back door, down a path and then we were on the beach! I remembered we visited an German hospital there, well worth a visit and a few other places i can't remember. we had a week there and it we had a wonderful time :)
I quite like that room, esp the balcony but at that price, I'd expect it to be in much better shape. I wouldn't expect dirt on the balcony chairs and I'd expect that bedding to be fresh and nice smelling. The fish n chips looked lovely. They were more like 'fish bites' (that's what we call them up north). The best things about that hotel are the location and astroturf al fresco bars!
My favourite beach in Jersey. Crystal clear water is great for a cool off mid summer. Some of the ww2 attractions and fortifications are amazing. The underground hospital is a must. Keep up the great content, Tim.
The first time I went to Jersey was in 1956 and I loved it. The next time I visited Jersey was in 1991 and was very disappointed the beaches were scruffy and a lot of undesirables were there. We were told by our Guest House that the millionaires who live on the island were trying to keep the holidaymakers out I don’t know whether that was sour grapes on behalf of the locals who couldn’t afford to buy homes there or what but that definitely put me of of returning to Jersey.
Jersey is a beautiful island and great to drive around. It reminds me of England 30yrs ago, people are helpful and it's extremely safe to walk out at any time of day.
@@npcfigureathletedawnirish691 I am lucky to live in a beautiful village with very little crime or antisocial behaviour. I feel sorry for alot of Northern towns that have been forgotten, demoralised and in decline.
My first visit to Jersey was on a school trip in 1970.We stayed at Le Coi hotel in St. Helier. Second trip was on my honeymoon in 2017. Enjoyed both trips very much but my first trip as a 12 year old was the best.
As a football fan and groundhopper i went just after covid so i could see Jersey Bulls play, had a lovely time, Jersey war tunnels was an eye opener! incredible that they heard other islands getting liberated but had to wait months for themselves to get liberated! also i have to add Thalatta Guest House were very wecoming 👍❤️
The view was fabulous. If you ask me, and no one did, the furniture on the balcony was placed incorrectly. I would prefer the couch with cushions facing the ocean. Appears to be a very nice resort. Thank you, Tim!
Hi Tim , just say thank you for sharing your video about , jersey is absolutely beautiful there , I’ve been there 6 times First time I went there, there was 18 members of my family including me went there as it was to celebrate my grandparents golden anniversary back in 1986 or 1987 But I loved it there 🎉🎉🎉
Wow Jersey looks stunning, and worth visiting. Housekeeping needs a bit of a shake up with that wonky light, balcony furniture cleaning and AC water down the wall. Other than that looks a stunning location.
Well this is a blast from the past! L’Horizon hotel in St Brelades Bay is superb - or was superb back in 1968 when my parents took us on holiday there. Very swish! The other residents were very sophisticated & sexy from recollection. The dining room required formal dress for dinner. Unforgettable!
Hi Tim. Just watched this with my 8 year old son and he was very happy when you mentioned our hometown of eastbourne! He said we live there! Yes we do lol. Thank you for sharing. I didnt like that balcony like you said if everyone out on their balconies they are watching over you. But it's always nice to see new places x
Thankyou Tim you carry on with your shower comments...love your videos...as for jersey...never been but loved watching bergerac years ago and promised one day we would visit.🍷
Hi Tim, I love watching your videos, in fact the WHOLE family loves watching them. My boyfriend and I even save videos you upload to watch them together! We do have a recommendation- The Bull & Swan in Stamford. If you do manage to stay, you MUST get their full English breakfast as well as that is AMAZING! We have been multiple times because of how much we love it and are planning to go again soon. Thanks!
My mum used to visit Jersey with her friend who's daughter lived there. They always enjoyed it and going round the Bergerac locations , as daughter knew one or two of the owners.
OMG Tim, £570!! They say Jersey is expensive but crikey! I watched this as a friend goes every year but has a caravan. In his photos it always looks deserted, he goes in June, he's there now. I love how you present, you never say anything nasty, even when you find things that are not so nice! You seem a gentle soul! I'm binge watching you now ☺
I stayed in Jersey last week for two nights at the Hotel Ambassadeur in St Clement, very nice hotel by the beach. Visited Jersey Zoo and Mont Orgueil Castle in Gorey, loved St Brelade's bay too. Enjoyed driving round, a nice slower pace of life. Plus cheap flight fares with easyJet from London Luton, a great trip, good to see you enjoyed Jersey too Tim 😊
Yes I also try to stay at the Ambassadeur. Good value and very clean (cost me £80 a night for a single room with a double bed back in 2022) and handy to get to. Also has a big car park unlike a lot of St. Helier hotels, so a plus if you are hiring a car.
Morning Tim. Love the view from your balcony.room look lovely. Not a bad hotel.fish and chips look yummy. The breakfast room is lovely. Thank you for sharing your trip. 👍
I only know Jersey from the TV series "Bergerac". I never took to that show, although the filming locations looked nice. Shame about the mediocre fish and chips Tim. I've always tried the fish and chips at every English coastal town I've visited, it's rare that i'm disappointed.
Lived/worked at the L’Horizon back in the day, it’s changed loads. I actually lived in one of the ground floor rooms for 6 weeks while I waited for a spot in the staff quarters. Good times 🤘
I love Jersey. Back in the 1970’s my family and I used to stay at the L’Horizon (I’m sure it was called something else back then) and The Biarritz Hotel just up the road. I have so many happy memories of the place. Thanks for giving me a nostalgia moment.

Sorry it’s a two people shower. You have to compensate for being able to move. You can’t judge the size by jamming people in. It’s like saying you can fit four people on a two seater sofa. Yes it’s possible but it isn’t the correct size 😆😄
@@michellewyles4868 It's how many people you can fit in a shower. Not how many people can you comfortably fit in a shower and still move around and be comfortable 😂
This brings back memories, I've been on that beach back in 2002. That hotel looked a bit grubby back then. I would have asked for a discount for all the water streaming down the walls over the light switches. Who is cleaning the rooms, didn't they notice that. I'm amazed at how they charge £570 a night and didn't bother fixing it.
Tim I am looking forward for this as only been to Jersey once when I was a baby so obviously can’t really remember what’s it like. Maybe I’m due to go back sometime in my lifetime.
I have spent 20 yrs visiting Jersey. I have very special memories of visiting with my late husband. We had our honeymoon in Jersey. So pleased you have finally made it to the beautiful island. We recently visited and found it so expensive to eat out. We had 2 basic F&C, with two deserts, a lemonade and a tea at the hotel next door to the one you stayed at, came to over £72. As a Jersey resident it feels weird seeing Tim in a hotel ten minutes down the road from me, but then again Jersey is so small it doesn't take long to get anywhere. Enjoy your stay Tim, Jersey is a lovely peaceful island
Hi Tim. I have not visited Jersey. I have stayed at two hotels on the Isle of Guernsey. Both hotels were really different but comfortable and really nice. This was over 15 years ago.
Cheers Tim, great video as always! I was last there in 2016! Great spot, so much history for Gorey castle to the war tunnels and bunkers dotted throughout the island!
Thanks for bringing back the memories, mate. If you would‘ve turned to your left on the beach, and went to the very far end, you would‘ve had the chance to enjoy a pint in one of the nicest pubs on the island. Been there a couple of times, nice people, not the usual „tres-chique“ stuff, yet a real neat pub. 😉
I LOVE Jersey! Been about 20 times over the years but not been back since before lockdown - got out of the habit of travelling. Have never stayed there and at those prices don't think I ever would but it did have a great balcony. I think I'll start looking at the flights/rooms again - definitely made me want to go back now!
Hi Tim thank you for taking me back to the Island of my childhood summers I know exactly were your hotel was and I've swum in that pool and the sea there on many occasions, I loved Jersey and still do and hope to return there one day , there used to be a nudist beach on the right in the rocks 😅 but please go back again , enjoyed every minute of your vlog ❤
@@WalkWithMeTim Best to communicate with the others in hushed tones about this Tim, otherwise it could be a case of the Hotel manager/staff giving you daggers in eyes looks for the rest of your stay.
Jersey is a lovely island. The first thing I noticed was the wonky light in the room 😂 love seeing different types of hotels and holiday places as housekeeping holiday places is my job.
I went to Jersey back in the 90's when I was a kid with my parents. Lovely place, I have fond memories of shopping in St Helier and buying a pair of Reebok Pumps 😆 Also remember this amazing attraction we went to called Living Legend (I think) it told the history of the island. You started off on the bridge of Captain Nemo's ship and then went through to a auditorium with holographic projections and all sorts. Was really cool for the time. Probably one of the best family holidays 🙂
Great video Tim. Glad you saw some of the island at least in your short stay. Hopefully you’ll be back again someday. The island comes alive in the summer sunshine. There’s so many fantastic views around Jersey. Maybe try a stay at The Atlantic hotel, Longueville manor or The Royal Yacht next time round. Top work.
lived and worked there for a season, stayed at st ouens just up from greve de leq and worked for Marks and riches in the packing station at st peters loved it, was there for 5 months and have been back for a weekend and stayed in st johns really like the place especially the mary ann lager
Such an amazing hotel with a spectacular view from the balcony shame that it was so overlooked, much better than the hotel that me and my now husband stayed in many years ago we loved Jersey and always said that we would return one day, thanks for sharing ❤️👍🏻
Yes but the uncertainty of the weather is enough to put me off visiting this. I can get to a greek island on Ryanair and stay for cheaper and also guaranteed clear skies.
Can we just take a moment to appreciate Tim’s videoing and editing skills, to get his smoothly exiting the elevator and entering the suite shot?? *Bravo, I say, Bravo* 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Been there a couple of times, nice people, not the usual „tres-chique“ stuff, yet a real neat pub. 😉
Beauitful tim thank you for showing us such a beauitful place
My pleasure
Always love the shore count👍
I'm glad the hotel manager wasn't within earshot of this part Tim 6:42 😂
It's true... lol I wasn't the first to say this either 😅
@@WalkWithMeTim Best to communicate with the others in hushed tones about this Tim, otherwise it could be a case of the Hotel manager/staff giving you daggers in eyes looks for the rest of your stay.
What a beautiful place, loved the video Tim
What a fantastic place to stay 😊
I lived there growing up and am in Canada now. Lovely memories. 💖
Jersey is a lovely island. The first thing I noticed was the wonky light in the room 😂 love seeing different types of hotels and holiday places as housekeeping holiday places is my job.
I went to Jersey back in the 90's when I was a kid with my parents. Lovely place, I have fond memories of shopping in St Helier and buying a pair of Reebok Pumps 😆
Also remember this amazing attraction we went to called Living Legend (I think) it told the history of the island. You started off on the bridge of Captain Nemo's ship and then went through to a auditorium with holographic projections and all sorts. Was really cool for the time.
Probably one of the best family holidays 🙂
I went. to jersey for about 8yrs for my holidays before COVID the last 3 of them had a balcony the June before COVID I really enjoyed it .❤
Love the view from your room and that balcony was fantastic. Very nice hotel. Love when you go to seaside resorts
The salt and pepper condiments should of come with the fish & chips dinner. It’s a must! That view was beautiful
Top work.
You should try out the merton hotel in jersey. Great indoor/outdoor pools. Lots of entertainment for kids/adults.
lived and worked there for a season, stayed at st ouens just up from greve de leq and worked for Marks and riches in the packing station at st peters loved it, was there for 5 months and have been back for a weekend and stayed in st johns really like the place especially the mary ann lager
