I think longer battery time would be ace, but would mean more weight and bulk and the main point of this is it's so small and capable for those solo selfies and quick shots. I find it very useful - thanks for watching!
Any thoughts on adding weight……? I was considering using Velcro and putting the other battery atop the one plugged in the Hover. That way, the balance effects would be minimal.(I think)🤷🏼♂️😄
Great video, am currently waiting for my X1 to arrive. I think it will be a great addition to my GoPro’s and DJI mini 3 pro. I love the quick set up and simplicity of it, and can see me using it a lot in scenarios where the mini is just too much effort for that quick shot etc. Question - I know it says it cant be flown over an area where there is a big change in height from the floor. So if you were to try and get an epic orbit shot around you standing on the edge of a cliff where the orbit starts at say 5ft from cliff top and then goes out over the cliff edge before circling back to start, is that a definite no no for this? I’m guessing it is, but hoping perhaps the orbit mode would keep it at the same start height throughout its full circle. If not then the mini 3 is the go for this type of shot
Hehe, the noise without the noise filter is like the souls of Alderaan screaming out, when Govenor Moff Tarkin tested the destructive power of the Death Star!😅
That's a great review very well done Chris interesting informative and you definitely got me interested it would be a great addition to any UA-camrs filming kit I've spent over 1k on drones and I'm always scared I will lose my second one this has some great functions on it dose it take a memory card or is all the footage uploaded to the phone only atvb Jimmy 😎😎👍👍
Cheers Jimmy - there is an expansion slot for Micro USD card. For me, rather than taking a full on drone, this will be ideal for aerial short clips and pics - it weighs almost nothing and I can deploy it in seconds. Perfect for my needs mate.
This explains the obstacles avoidance. Via their faq . Hover 2’s proprietary Optical Radar is a swiveling stereo sensor that gives the drone depth perception in every direction. We combined this with SLAM 3D mapping, VIO (Visual Inertial Odometry), and path planning features, so the drone can bypass obstacles while tracking a target in real time.
They have come a long way since the 6-year-old Hover Camera Passport. Watch some of those reviews from 6 years ago and you will see how improved the X1 is!
Good vid pal, I can see this things uses but being honest I have to say the noise, power duration and price arent for me. When watching reviews like this, early on in the vid I make an estimate of the cost of the item in question and if I like it and it arrives close on that estimate I will buy it. My estimate for this was under £100. 😢 Looking forward to seeing more of your content filmed with this though
I love it - very handy for me and the noise isn't an issue as ordinarily, there's usually only me. Not really much louder than the Mini 2 by DJI. Thanks for watching 👍
@MCMOutdoors oh really? That's not too bad then, maybe I had my TV turned up more than usual he.. I do like the idea, maybe keep my eyes peeled for a v2.. I can't help but think if this was priced close to £100 they would sell out. See you on the next 1 bud.
Like everything I guess, things are pricey at the moment. There's some decent tech on board this so I guess it comes at a bit of a premium. I'm sure there will be some offers to be had at some point. Atb pal.
Great review. Cheers Chris. 👍🏼
Cheers!
Very nice bit of kit this Chris, fab review on what is a great edition to your filming hardware!

I wouldn't bother personally - but each to their own 👍
@@MCMOutdoors I’ve always been about the……”what ifs”😄👋🏼😄

Good question! One I don't know the answer to!
Dolly track looks great , very professional.
Superb gadget! Really small and weighs next to nothing!

Haha!
Great review, which microphone do you use? Got a link? Thanks.
It comes with the camera, which is a DJI Pocket 2

Nie review. I love3 my X1 I just wish they would give us the option to tone down the over sharpening.
Makes for very Insta friendly footage 😁 I'm sure they will add options with a FW update 👍

Excellent. Some juicy tech inside 👌
Great review! Do you know if it will follow a car?
I doubt it...... It's designed to recognise a face I think as opposed to objects
I think I read recently there is a firmware update that gives vertical format recording
Yes, I think so
sorry for the weird question. but what jacket are you wearing?
It's a Svalbard Anorak by Norrona
Brilliant review can you just take photos with just the app say landscape shots.
Yes 👍
Hiya, can I ask how long it took to arrive.
About a week 👍
Did you get an operator id? If its a flying camera do you need one?👍
Yes you do - it's still classed as a drone. I
@@MCMOutdoors thanks for the quick response. I'd better get one then 😂 before I go out with mine.👍
@@MCMOutdoors just got the I'd now. Don't want to be reckless 😭👍
Where can I buy this drone in Belgium?
I've no idea sorry
Can it orbit while walking?
Yep 👍
That looks brilliant!
It is ace! Tiny!
Just seen the same thing on Daley outdoors, £395 not in my budget range, I'm afraid.
Not selling, just reviewing the item. Thanks for watching 👍

Yes, quite an advance!
Where did you buy this? Can't find it anywhere
It's released - check the link in my video 👆
@@MCMOutdoors oh yeah sorry, didn't see the links 😂
How much is it Chrislad? Just googled it and prices vary WILDLY! £20 Ali Express - £700 Ebay. Yikes!
Should be around 390 notes mate!
