Dominique, I just wanted to say thank you for demonstrating this process. Yes, the cost of semi-permanent extensions can be prohibitive for many, and clip-in extensions are available at a much lower cost and without the regular maintenance. Whichever "helper hair" we choose, it's wonderful to see a woman showing that options ARE available, and especially touching on the subject that hair can be considered an accessory and that women who are experiencing thinning/loss can benefit. You are gorgeous inside and out, short and long.
+Liza Grace EXACTLY what I just commented. The extensions looked like lobs of hair hanging down under her own. Also I was not impressed with the texture of the hair when it was laying in the box, did you see the dryness?
Liza Grace He knew she wanted some wave to it, which would make it come up shorter than when he first cut it while the hair was straight. They may have discussed length and looked at a picture in advance, off camera..
I think they look GREAT on you! You look younger and very happy with them! I'm a hairstylist and I loved watching this video. I think he explained everything well, took great care of you (and your hair), and left you feeling great about yourself. Job well done!
As a hair dresser and hair extension connoisseur it angers me that he gave this classy, beautiful lady such terrible and overly priced extensions. He did not bother to blend them and maybe it was just lighting and camera but the colors didn't seem to match all that well either. I wanted to strangle him every time he said "they really do look fantastic" because they didn't. Just because someone has their name on the salon doesn't make them a top notch hair stylist. I'm not saying he's not good in another aspects of hair styling but extensions aren't his thing.
Sunny W. ugh! I was just watching this to show my sister some extension options for her short hair-this is awful! He did not blend them properly at all! I always start from the shortest layer (the natural hair) and free-hand or with a comb blend into an increased layer from there, then once the layering is blending you refine the length. It's like a little hair hat sitting on top otherwise! So annoying!
Lynn rac I am rocking tape in extensions right now and I am kind of obsessed with them. They lay flat and hide well. I have had every kind of extension except natural beaded rows. I am not a fan of the fusion or keratin tip systems as I felt like they did the most damage to my hair. Weaves and pinch braids are uncomfortable in my opinion and make my head itchy. So far my favorite are these tape ins. I wish I could recommend a salon in the Dallas area but I'm in Wisconsin. Im in the cosmetology business but if I wasn't what I would do is Google "best hair extensions Dallas" find that salons social media pages, Instagram, is usually really helpful and stalk them. When you like what you see, schedule a consultation. Good luck and remember extensions are an absolute luxury and will be an investment. I usually pay around 3-400 for my hair then around 200 for the install. Tape ins are very easy to do the initial install and will be less expensive than the fusion/keratin which will take anywhere from 4-7 hours.
Dominique I really love your hair short I have been stalking your hair videos. I am ready to make the big cut this week so I wanted to show my stylist your hair cut. Love how thorough all your videos are, I know how long it takes to create, film and edit videos. Thank you for sharing all your insights and being so real. Xoxo keep up he great videos.
I love it Dominique! I have no attachment to hair styles either. I cut it off, it grows back, let it grow change up the style. I have a bob similar to yours and I decided that I'm going to let it grow to my shoulders. By mid summer my hair will be sweeping my lower part of my neck. Have fun with your new hair. Well done!
I’m no professional and I do love your channel but I think he could have done a better job. Just my humble opinion. You always look fabulous no matter what.
Incredible! Looks extremely natural. Dominique you are so beautiful woman inside and out, that you can carry any hair style. If my hair doesn't get long enough for our daughters wedding which I am looking for shoulder length, will consider thanks to you and your Stylist to do the same using extensions. Thank you. Can you do a tutorial on the up keep of the extensions and how to use those two products, shampoo and conditioner correctly?
Neat to watch, but you can totally tell where the real hair and extension meet. He didn't really blend it well and he said, "it looks like a layer". It didn't.
Wow! Thanks for showing this. Thanks for showing what goes on behind the scenes and how extensions work. How fun to be able to play with hair looks like you do. If you're taking a poll, I most love the short bob on you. So stylish and sophisticated. However... you are so naturally beautiful that everything you do works. Thanks, again, for this teaching.
I have to say that I prefer the short bob you were sporting , but it feels good to mix it up now and again to stop things getting stale , so YOU GO , GIRL !! A change is as good as a rest so you do what you what , after all , its your hair . xx
I have not seen extensions applied or used. I found your video completely fascinating. You look great. Enjoy. Everyone needs a little change once in awhile. Thanks Dominique.
at 15:00 and 15:50, i wanted to cry for you Dom! Please do not go back there to do your hair again. This guy was always saying "you know what I mean?" - Seriously, you're too nice for such a fella who is not honest at all.
My favorite video so far!!! I love your attitude about hair and thank you for sharing this on you-tube. My daughter had cancer when she was 18 and her hair thinned due to radiation. I took her to Nashville Tn. for these extension it made her feel so much better about herself. Her hair has filled back in but she still wears them..You never know who you will help by taking the time to post the video!! I can't wait to see what adventure you come up with next!!
Trust me, there are people that can do a good/great job for a fraction of the price. You need to do just a little homework of asking. In the African American community, this style is a simple weave/ extension style done by many stylist daily, honestly, hourly. Seriously, your stylist will come by word of mouth. Just ask someone with s great hair style (weave or no weave), they are usually willing to share.
That's what I said!! I'm like disgusted by the price of these extensions and the HORRIBLE job he did! But, most white folks have NO clue who the real MVP's of "extensions" are and who's been doing them for years and years. This white girl does tho and it ain't this dude. 👍👏
This was a lot of fun to watch! So many different kinds of extensions on the market .. nice to see ones that won't damage the hair, which is the main reason I haven't tried them yet myself. BUT I MUST know - that nail polish color is so pretty on you! Mind sharing what brand and color that is you are wearing?
He did a poor job on the install! He clearly doesn't know what he was doing. He used tape-ins on the crown. As a hair stylist, he should know better but probably wasn't trained properly
The extensions look beautiful and I love the way he incorporated the three colors to keep your highlights and lowlights. I enjoy all of your videos and as a newly 50 year old, they inspire me to keep having fun with makeup and hair styles. are the tape in extensions safer to use on women with thinning hair? I've tried them as well as the biotin tipped extensions and actually prefer the tape ins as they are less delicate to manage. At any rate, thank you so much for taking the time out of your hectic schedule to share all of the things you've learned. It's been fun watching you and I look forward to each segment.
You still look good with long hair but I feel like the short Bob fits you better and I like the short. at least they're extensions so they can easily be taken out.
+Samantha Walker I also agree. I love the shorter bob. It is so chic. I don't think most people can afford to spend THAT much on their hair either. $1,500 initially and $250 every 6-8 weeks?!
+Samantha Walker I agree with you Samantha and I honestly(not being rude) felt you could tell there were extensions present. The short hair on Dominique is just gorgeous!
Wow, I just can't get past that huge price and then I gasped when large amounts of expensive hair was then cut. 😱 Please don't take me wrong..not trying to put anyone down for their choices. I myself will stick with clip in extensions...versatile and affordable. 😉
Dominique. You look good in the bob and any style. I don't understand how do you wash your scalp with all the extension tabs close to it? When you brush or comb your hair, would your brush/comb snag the extension tabs and pull them down?
+Wendy Schnapa You have to do it very carefully. I section out my own hair and blow-dry that, then just aim the dryer straight down on the extensions. They dry on their own that way.
+Dominique Sachse I love watching it on you, but I think it would be too high maintenance for me on a daily basis. Do they hurt to sleep with? btw, love your nail color in this vid, mind sharing what you are wearing here?
Very interesting to watch the process. I was shocked to see your longer hair on the news last night! I was hoping you would share this with us. Thank you, looks great!
Hi Dominique, I love watching u on channel 2 and your videos, since I turned 47 my hair got thinner and started wearing hair extensions and feel like a different person, continue making videos I love them , thank you
Thank you for sharing this experience. As a cancer survivor my hair has never been the same, This is a real opinion. I would never have considered extensions without seeing your video. ❤
I know plenty of friends with extensions, some they've had put on at the salon, some are clip in. I'm too lazy to deal with the upkeep, so if I cut my hair short, I just wait. But, those clip in extensions look great for temporary length and yay, you can remove them. Her hair is gorgeous with or without the extensions. Amazing job with making that all look real.
Thank you for this demonstration. As a licensed hairstylist and expert in extensions I found it over the top that he would blowdry a soft curl into your hair and then straighten it. And I have to say clip ins are much better for the hair than tape, give you more options and are far less expensive for upkeep and care. Unfortunately I didn't think is styling technique was very good either and you could tell you had extensions. But thank you anyway.
Dominique - Thank you so very much for showing us the process of adding extensions. I really did enjoy watching how it happens. This is very useful information I am considering doing this for my over-50-thinning-hair. Fantastic result.
Ladies, at the end of the day is what Dominique said. She is not married to any Style. What ever makes anyone of us fell 100% is what we should embrace and run with it! My husband always says you look good with long, you look good with short... So what I do? I wear my hair style, color etc... Which ever way makes me happy. Lol! :)) thank you for sharing and showing the process. I feel your Stylist is very knowledgable, knows the greatest and latest, find the price considering is Italian hair made in Texas reasonable. In my personal case, it is reasonable specially if I wanted that look for our soon daughter wedding and I could get that result. Again is all in prospective of needs and wants and of course $. When it comes to our daughter wedding day is priceless. I'm sharing with her this video because she had been talking about wishing her hair would be a bit longer for her big day. Thank you all.
The results of extensions, when done well, has to be a super thrill! My hair is so fine and thin that i don't think extensions would look natural. Would love to try some (after winning the lottery of course)
Dominique, you could be bald and be gorgeous! Thank you for taking us along because this was something really cool and fun to see. I still love your pixie bob that you had the best and the pocketbook on this project is totally unattainable. This will be filed under, "good to know!"
GREAT JOB DOMINIQUE, I have watched HOURS of videos on hair extensions and could NOT figure out HOW they were actually being applied. Ceron did a fab job. I litterly sat with my mouth open like a 7yr old watching the LEGO movie. Thank You so much and Thank You Ceron. Another fab video Dominique!!!!!
OMG! Did I hear $1000 to $1500 every 6 weeks? This obviously isn't something for us "average" gals. Dominique, you look beautiful with any kind of hair but I much prefer the short and sassy bob. Fits your energy!
+Liza Jane actually no it;s not that much. I wear extensions sometimes. You pay for the hair up front. Then every 6 weeks they take them out, wash and dry them and put them back in.
+Liza Jane Because her extensions are human hair, they ARE much more expensive (and they also need more "after care.") You can totally shop around and (probably) find something in your price range. Also, I love how easy these new extensions were to apply to the hair!
$1500 & up!!!! Wow! I'll wait for my hair to grow & get some nice shoes! :) You always look beautiful! What are you going to do with all your hair products???
oh my gosh, I think you look beautiful no matter what you do! I love the short hair on you and think it is so flattering. The longer hair looks great too
Very interesting! I can't say which I like better, long, short or in between! You are definitely one of those women who can wear them all! I'm shocked at the cost, like everyone else, but I think if someone can afford it, why not? (I can't!!) lol Thanks for sharing your trip to the salon with us!
+VDR928 Yes, I know they're expensive. They do last 8 months or so because they're removed, cleaned and then new adhesive is put back on and they're re-glued into your hair.
❤️ Wow, you look beautiful and younger ! Please do a follow up video on how it is working for you. A big investment : does it feel heavy ( headache wise ) ease of washing, styling and maintenance. I've always wanted to try tape in Extensions. Thank you for taking us along on your journey ❤️
Dominique, I found your UA-cam channel about a week ago and I have learned so much. I've always had short hair and I love the look, but every now and then, I get in the mood to have a longer look, not supper long, but maybe the length of the short bob you started with in this video. Now I can see that perhaps I don't have to wait the months and months to grow my hair out. Hair extensions could make the process less painful - I tend to chicken out and go back to the same short haircut I've always had when my hair gets in that middle yucky stage. My hair stylist could give me some advice about what would work best for me and my budget. Thank you so much for showing the process and talking about the ongoing maintenance of the extensions. Please make more videos showing us how your own hair is blending with the extensions over time to see how it evolves.
+Becky Patrick I most certainly will Becky, and you're right, the growing out process can be tough because you're neither here nor there, and the temptation is to cut it again so you have a style. This way, you hide the grow out phase :)
I love the look! You look fabulous! What I love is how much you are willing to change out your look. Just lovely. What a treat to be with you and learn from your experience. I have hair that length but it gives me an idea of a cut to try and a new way to style. Thanks Dominique.
I have a question...if it is windy, will the extensions be exposed? Some days are quite blustery here, & my hair blows all over. Also, I have extremely wavy hair like you...so, can your hair still be blowdryed & how will you tame the natural hair to blend with the extensions? I think about trying them. You look great!! 😆
+Erica Harner Yes, you can blow dry, use a curling iron, etc.. just as normal. The tape might show on a windy day. Can't guarantee total coverage all the time..
+Terry OMalley It is expensive, Terry, no doubt. I will say that there are many price points depending on the hair and stylist. Also, that initial cost was for the hair, which will last a good 8 months. They're removed, cleaned and new adhesive is applied. You can re-use them about 3 times.
Terry O'Malley It doesn't need to be expensive. About 10 years ago I bought extensions cheaply in a store and clipped them in. I dyed them the color I wanted. I washed them easily.
Your timing could not have been better! My daughter is a stylist, she has had extension for length (long story, LOL) and she is adding this service to her salon. I get to be a guinea pig! I'm adding fullness, and I'm getting it at COST! I've been watching videos to understand how these tape in extensions work. Yours look great, I can't wait!!
Pretty much you would have to curl it to keep your real hair mostly blended in? Will be interesting to see how it looks after your start styling it yourself. It does make you look younger, but I will say I liked the length you had say 6 months or so ago when I first found your videos (before you cut it to the length before these extensions).
I have to say I was amazed by some of the negative comments that people made. Firstly, Dominique was gracious enough to bring us along for her trip the salon -- appreciate it for what it is. Salon prices vary greatly across the country, from city to city and with the skill and popularity of the hairdresser. Dominique is blessed with great looks and with beauty professionals that SHE trusts and is comfortable compensating according to the fees they charge. Some of you complained about $1500 for hair extensions, that once purchased, are hers and she can reuse them. She also mentioned a much lesser charge to have them removed and redone which you skimmed right over as you were so focused on the $1500. The $1500 is an up front expenditure, and not necessarily a recurring one. What I'm not understanding os that many of you don't bat an eye when other "beauty" UA-camrs plunk down $4000 for a purse. Also, please remember, as a long-time anchor in a major market, Dominique earns a nice salary and has adequate means to pay for goods and services. Further, you must remember that appearance is a huge part of her job, so things like hair, makeup, clothes, attendance at events, etc. may be tax deductible as a business expense. Please be positive, and be thankful that she is open about sharing some of her life with us. Take inspiration where you find it and tailor it to your lifestyle, budget, etc., AND if nothing else, think of her videos as entertainment. The negativity is not a good look on anyone. Regards.
People are just be honest and truthful about the color not blending. Sometimes we are afraid of hurting someones feelings and refrain from being honest. Criticism can be hugely constructive and help Dominique perhaps know what to look for in the future. I don't feel like people were being mean about it. For myself I would want the truth even if it was a present disappointment considering the cost. Knowing Dominique she will takeaway all the good in the experience and in the viewers remarks . @@dominiquesachsetv
wow, I love this video. I was just in a salon someone was getting this done. I wanted to find out more information about this.. You are a stunning woman by the way.
Short hair or long hair, let's face it you'd even look good with no hair. Thanks for taking us along. When I think of how long it took someone to grow that length hair I'm surprised it is not even more expensive. Looks fabulous x
Loved your extensions video!! I am looking to use clip on extensions to create an updo. I wear my hair short but want to wear my hair up without having to grow it longer. Have you done an updo with your extension? I have not seen one of your videos that demos this? I want something elegant, contained with height. Not the age for a real messy bun.
DOMINIQUE!!! I need this in my life! OMGosh, I am trying to grow out an awful haircut (scalping really) and it is SO hard. I seriously need to fly down to Houston with hubby on his biz trips and get my fanny in Ceron 's chair. $1,500 though, ouch! Still, it looks amazing on you dear, go strut your stuff momma!
+galecrafts I was growing out a bad haircut (like horrible) years ago that made me not want to leave the house. I saved and saved to get extensions. It helped me through that awful time where only you feel bad (and the rest of the world doesn't know it). I think these days you will have to spend money, but probably not 1,500. But still a lot. Do you research and find someone you like. Also, it's a lot of work and upkeep to keep them from getting all tangled. But honestly, if you are feeling bad about it, save save save. Of course there are better places to spend your money, but self-esteem is important IMHO.
Hi Dominique, so glad to find you! I have been a only natural person all my life but in my "old age" lol I need HELP! And I have found that here with you. Thank you! FYI the black Conran's are back in stock.
I gasped when he put in the extensions and then cut half off. Wow, they look great on you. You look even younger with them, like that's possible. 😉 I think the clip ins are more affordable but if you can afford these then go for it. You look beautiful either way. I will be waiting to see how YOU style this new hair because I just loved how you styled your short hair. Either style you are still one classy beautiful lady. Much love from Odessa. 😍❤️😘
You would look great with everything, but honestly I LOVED how the short bob looked on you. The important thing, though, is not what we think, but that YOU like it, and again, you look beautiful with all sorts of hair styles!
As a hairstylist who has been educated in putting in tape extension and a wearer of said extensions through years and years - I loved the idea, hated the execution :( - why did he skip your nape?? Tape extensions can be put in hair as short as an inch when done right... Had he put them in at the nape, he could have done the layers better, and just saying - no one can do layers with extensions and not touch the real hair with the scissors... The top layer needed to be broken up..... I'm sorry - this is in no way a negative comments on the video or the content - I just felt you got ripped off... And I hated that...
+Hudson1910 i can't help you there... I live in Denmark where our official hairdresser education is 4 years long, and we learn to do it all, cut, color, perm, style, even hair removal, makeup, mani/pedi and up dos... I even made my own hairpiece back in the day... Think that's elective now.... My best advice for you is to start asking around... Ask friends and others in your life if they know anyone good at extensions... And when you have a few names you go interview them.... They will make a consultation for you, but you have the right to say ' no thanks, I really don't think this is the place for me' - you are paying good money for a service and it damn well better live up to your expectations!!
+Sabina Hertzum She definitely got ripped off, but the worse part was watching her clapping and so excited at the end, even after he told her the price-just shocking.
+Hudson1910 omg. Get a clue. That's who you WANT to go to...Unless u want to pay way more for a job that's probably half as good. Trust me, plenty of white girls go to the hood to get their hair did. Don't be scared, lol. They don't bite. Ask around and you'll find someone.
JulStar13 you are a hoot! That would be fun to go with a couple of friends to a "sister" hairdresser. Either way, I work with ethnic ladies and they pay a hefty price for their "artwork".
Dominique, this is absolutely beautiful! I didn't think that I could love any hair cut as much as the last one you showed us but this is gorgeous.... and it seems so easy! I'm still trying to grow out a pixie but I'm going to seriously think about having extensions put in. (I'm having a lot of "dumb" hair days in the meantime.) Thanks so much for taking the time to share this with us!
I think it looks gorgeous,he has done. Very good job. I know because I have extensions and hairpieces and I have used different technics for many years
I actually prefer your previous hairstyle, I'm sorry. I'm taking a photo of your shorter bob next week at my hairdresser's because I want the same cut. So classy! Oh, and BTW I had a chuckle at the "italian hair". Being italian and living there, I thought it was funny to know that somebody's selling their own hair.... and a bit irrealistic I must add.
I'm a little shocked at some of the comments I just read below..... I love the new look! It is lovely and thank you so much for sharing your "personal" experience with us!
I guess you can tell from the other comments that most of your subscribers are less than thrilled. I just don't know how you can watch your new YT video intro and not see how sophisticated and beautiful you looked with the short bob. You wanted long hair again, I get it. You can afford it. While the majority of your subscribers wish they could splurge on things like this they can't and totally cannot relate. You are a smart lady, you know that. You can, so enjoy the new look! I look forward to seeing how YOU will style it so that it blends better with your natural hair.
Hair extensions are not only for those who have problems growing hair or have thinning hair, it is an accessory for those who knows its about The Look sometimes. Fantasy is everything hunty.
Extensions, porcelain veneers, and a "strategic" lift.... I may need a highly lucrative, after hours banking job to be able to keep up with my anti aging regimen!!! :D
Looks great! I agree, hair is just that, hair. Tomorrow I go to my hairdresser and I am chopping mine off in a similar style that your extensions are now cut into. I like change too! It keeps things more fun. Enjoy your new hair.
claudia silva not about the money in the sense you think, BUTTTT they're poorly done, don't blend well and not enough was added to remove that "extension" look. When you're paying that much, you shouldn't have to curl your hair to hide an awful job and shouldn't have to second guess it. It's like he was trying to assure not only her, but himself when he kept saying "it looks fantastic"
Dominique, I just wanted to say thank you for demonstrating this process. Yes, the cost of semi-permanent extensions can be prohibitive for many, and clip-in extensions are available at a much lower cost and without the regular maintenance. It's never a good sign when a hairdresser goes right for the curling iron to hide the choppy look on the haircut...
+Liza Grace EXACTLY what I just commented. The extensions looked like lobs of hair hanging down under her own. Also I was not impressed with the texture of the hair when it was laying in the box, did you see the dryness?
+Zhafael A good hairdresser always gives the client ample opportunity to look at the cut when it's that big of a change before styling.
In general with extensions, you need to curl them to blend. It's not a bad sign, its what you sign up for.
Liza Grace
He knew she wanted some wave to it, which would make it come up shorter than when he first cut it while the hair was straight. They may have discussed length and looked at a picture in advance, off camera..
I'm sorry, but $1500 for that??? No. Just no.
I think they look GREAT on you! You look younger and very happy with them! I'm a hairstylist and I loved watching this video. I think he explained everything well, took great care of you (and your hair), and left you feeling great about yourself. Job well done!

Sarah W i agree so choppy!!! uggg
Sunny W. ugh! I was just watching this to show my sister some extension options for her short hair-this is awful! He did not blend them properly at all! Sunny W. Do you happen to know any stylists in the Dallas/Fort Worth area? Also, which type of extensions do you believe are less damaging? Thanks!
Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. I will follow your suggestions for finding a stylist in my area! Btw, your hair looks amazing!!
Can you do a tutorial on the up keep of the extensions and how to use those two products, shampoo and conditioner correctly?
I do have to say that the longer hair makes you look a lot younger. It really suites you!
+rose ann Thank you!
I do love the extensions but I am OBSESSED with your short hair. But both look great so it's what makes YOU feel good! Enjoy that new length!
Neat to watch, but you can totally tell where the real hair and extension meet. He didn't really blend it well and he said, "it looks like a layer". It didn't.
Totally agree with you, Glitter Nails. The difference is quite visible. Besides that, you still look stunning, Dominique!
Exactly. Well said.
Especially in the back
it did not blend in at all. . thats just a rip off. not trying to be mean but she is nice but she has to see how he chops it off. . does not look good
+Glitter Nails I think it looks great but wayyyy too overpriced. $1500 for hair extensions? You can grow your hair for free.
I had breast cancer a year ago and my hair grew back thin and it grows so slow. Thank you for doing this - I think extensions would help me so much!
I love hair. I love hair extensions cause I am a weave queen. My hair is stronger and longer because of the weave hunties!
Me too! I had long, thick Mexican hair that is now thinner, like alopecia, and takes forever to grow. I would love to try these.
Very interesting! I've always wondered how extensions work. I love that you like to change your look - so many women are afraid of changing!
I agree that this was a horrible extension. Maybe Dominique took them out as soon as she got home. I would
My favorite video so far!!!
+ressenycva exactly!!!! Mine are very affordable and they are real hair. Beautiful and they style well too.
+ressenycva Absolutely that price is Insane!
That's what I said!! I'm like disgusted by the price of these extensions and the HORRIBLE job he did! But, most white folks have NO clue who the real MVP's of "extensions" are and who's been doing them for years and years. This white girl does tho and it ain't this dude. 👍👏
Thank you for this info!!! I've been wanting to get them in and honestly can't see paying $1500 then $250 every 6 weeks.
Right, and it would be much cheaper and look much better less choppy and obvious.
Looove the style!! 😍 but he REALLY needed to blend your hair with the extentions because you can tell your wearing them
He did a poor job on the install!
+Samantha Walker
Yes, I so agree. The short bob is so chic.
+Ginny Bloomer yes I agree. The short Bob faits you better. But you are beautyful in anyway !
+Susan's Favs agreed! Seems way excessive
I love your hairstyle 💁
Please tell me which colour and highlight shade . I want that'd same coloure and highlights..
Please x
Wow, I just can't get past that huge price and then I gasped when large amounts of expensive hair was then cut. 😱 Please don't take me wrong..not trying to put anyone down for their choices. I myself will stick with clip in extensions...versatile and affordable. 😉
Exactly all the work he did...14" ext to lengthened by 3 inches of her natural hair!!! I'd be BEYOND pissed
You were stunning before, and you're stunning now!!! I got extensions recently and they changed my LIFE!!! So fun!! Hugs from Utah!
Very interesting to watch the process. I was shocked to see your longer hair on the news last night! I was hoping you would share this with us. Thank you, looks great!
Please do a new hair tutorial on how you will style the new extentions - comb? brush? blow dry? Living Proof Amp? Would love to see the new routine.
+Melanie Whatley Absolutely!
STUNNING! I love your short bob, but the slightly longer hair gives you a younger, softer look. Thank you for sharing your experience. xoxo C
You look great, either way, but I much prefer your sassy bob!
But thank you anyway.
twominutetips like I hated everything but .. thank you 😂
twominutetips ,@
twominutetips I agree...there was a clear demarcation line and the curling made it a blunt and bouncier "step" layer. glad I wasn't the only one!
yes it was horribly done. and 1500 for such an amateur work.
I'm a hairdresser also and thought the same thing. Horrible job
Dominique - Thank you so very much for showing us the process of adding extensions. I really did enjoy watching how it happens. This is very useful information I am considering doing this for my over-50-thinning-hair. Fantastic result.
Stunning !!!!!!! You look fabulous!! And so much younger. Beautiful !!
Love it! I love your philosophy on hair , it doesn't define you and why not be creative with it ! You rock !
+Malli 778 Malli 778 Thank you for your insightful note.. I agree!
The results of extensions, when done well, has to be a super thrill! My hair is so fine and thin that i don't think extensions would look natural. Would love to try some (after winning the lottery of course)
Looks nice but the short hair was working for ya!
Dominique, you could be bald and be gorgeous! Thank you for taking us along because this was something really cool and fun to see. I still love your pixie bob that you had the best and the pocketbook on this project is totally unattainable. This will be filed under, "good to know!"
Wow! That longer style looks perfect. You look a lot younger too in that style.
Yes, but he did a horrible job blending!
+Kris Buffalo, MN LOL! He'll be happy to hear that :)
OMG! Did I hear $1000 to $1500 every 6 weeks? This obviously isn't something for us "average" gals.
Dominique, you look beautiful with any kind of hair but I much prefer the short and sassy bob. Fits your energy!
+Sheila Yeates - Oh thanks ... Didn't hear that ... Still pricey for some of us! ;-)
+Liza Jane actually no it;s not that much. I wear extensions sometimes. You pay for the hair up front. Then every 6 weeks they take them out, wash and dry them and put them back in.
He said yes for a minimal fee of $250 every time you have them removed & then reapplied.
+Liza Jane Dominique looks beautiful even without hair :) She's slim, no wrinkles, youthful fresh look, stylish, just gorgeous
+Liza Jane Because her extensions are human hair, they ARE much more expensive (and they also need more "after care.") You can totally shop around and (probably) find something in your price range. Also, I love how easy these new extensions were to apply to the hair!
What brand and color lip liner/lipstick are you wearing in this video? I love it! 💋 Thank You!
$1500 & up!!!! Wow! I'll wait for my hair to grow & get some nice shoes! :) You always look beautiful! What are you going to do with all your hair products???
oh my gosh, I think you look beautiful no matter what you do! I love the short hair on you and think it is so flattering. The longer hair looks great too
It is so nice to get to learn all this stuff, thanks for sharing!
+Heilet van Ree You're welcome :)
I truly appreciate your philosophy on hair. It doesn't define you. Enjoy changes! Very exciting. Thank you for sharing, you are very inspirationsl🌸🌺
I love the look! You look fabulous! What I love is how much you are willing to change out your look. Just lovely. What a treat to be with you and learn from your experience. I have hair that length but it gives me an idea of a cut to try and a new way to style. Thanks Dominique.
He's a complete Charlatan!!! He knows what he did; yet he's boasting!!!
You look beautiful!! Thank you for sharing the process! I never knew how it was done.
What a great work! And you look 10 years younger right now! How can that be? 😵💜💕
+Dominique, ok...thanks for answering my questions. Looking forward to new content on styling your hair. You look beautiful...as always😉
Love the length and style!!!!!! So so flattering on you!
I like the fun new look! I will be watching to see how you style it.
This is an extravagance that the women I know couldn't afford. It was interesting to watch the process, but not realistic for most women.
+Terry OMalley you put that well.
+Terry OMalley It is expensive, Terry, no doubt. I will say that there are many price points depending on the hair and stylist. Also, that initial cost was for the hair, which will last a good 8 months. They're removed, cleaned and new adhesive is applied. You can re-use them about 3 times.
Terry OMalley I'm agree
Terry O'Malley
It doesn't need to be expensive. About 10 years ago I bought extensions cheaply in a store and clipped them in. I dyed them the color I wanted. I washed them easily.
Terry O'
Happy to see you so satisfied!! Enjoy the new hair's look!
Sorry i don't like it at all, you can see the difference between your hair and extension , i think your short hair looks fabulous
Thank you for sharing this experience. It certainly makes good sense to have a qualified and talented professional when taking this step.
Regards.
+4227Style Insightful… Thank you for sharing your thoughts
People are just be honest and truthful about the color not blending. Sometimes we are afraid of hurting someones feelings and refrain from being honest. Criticism can be hugely constructive and help Dominique perhaps know what to look for in the future. I don't feel like people were being mean about it. For myself I would want the truth even if it was a present disappointment considering the cost. Knowing Dominique she will takeaway all the good in the experience and in the viewers remarks . @@dominiquesachsetv
Beautiful transformation Dominique.Love the color and length of your hair... Enjoy your tutorial!
Short, medium, or long, you are a beautiful lady. I love them all on you. Enjoyed the video. Thank you for sharing this with us.
He makes it look so easy but I know that he is insanely talented! U look gorgeous. Thanks for the video
Wow, I didn't think you could look any more gorgeous! He is a genius in his field. ♥ Elle
+Elle Is For Living He is great, and thanks, as always, for your kindness :)
wow, I love this video.
Of course there are better places to spend your money, but self-esteem is important IMHO.
galecrafts - ( The Happy Stamper ) lol that made me giggle, I'm English and we say bum, fanny is a word used for vagina here :)
Hi Dominique, so glad to find you! I have been a only natural person all my life but in my "old age" lol I need HELP! And I have found that here with you. Thank you! FYI the black Conran's are back in stock.
+Edie Hahn Good to know!
I gasped when he put in the extensions and then cut half off. Wow, they look great on you. You look even younger with them, like that's possible. 😉
I think the clip ins are more affordable but if you can afford these then go for it. You look beautiful either way. I will be waiting to see how YOU style this new hair because I just loved how you styled your short hair.
Either style you are still one classy beautiful lady.
Much love from Odessa. 😍❤️😘
jeannie jane \
YES, She looks way younger!
You would look great with everything, but honestly I LOVED how the short bob looked on you. The important thing, though, is not what we think, but that YOU like it, and again, you look beautiful with all sorts of hair styles!
Omg you look like you're in college! Every hairstyle is flattering on you!!
I love how you are always changing your hair. . . It looks great!
+Sabina Hertzum I'm wondering where to even find extensions in my area that aren't for the African community...
+Sabina Hertzum
She definitely got ripped off, but the worse part was watching her clapping and so excited at the end, even after he told her the price-just shocking.
Love the longer hair on you. Sassy and makes you look younger - even though you are not old.
i agree
Found your updo demo of 2017. Very helpful. You are so chic and kind to share your tips with women. God Bless...
I've never felt so lucky to have hair that grows quickly! $$$
Krista Roman 0
I think it looks gorgeous,he has done. Very good job.
I know because I have extensions and hairpieces and I have used different technics for many years
I actually prefer your previous hairstyle, I'm sorry. I'm taking a photo of your shorter bob next week at my hairdresser's because I want the same cut. So classy! Oh, and BTW I had a chuckle at the "italian hair". Being italian and living there, I thought it was funny to know that somebody's selling their own hair.... and a bit irrealistic I must add.
Dominique..... You are such an inspiration, down to earth, lady. I love watching you.
I'm a little shocked at some of the comments I just read below.....
I love the new look! It is lovely and thank you so much for sharing your "personal" experience with us!
+Days With Deb My pleasure.. Thank you
Days With Deb
Dominique looks great! I like both looks. The long silky hair feels great, doesn't it Dominique?
Wow that is amazing!! I've thought about extentions but wow the price is crazy!! I love that you look amazing in both short and long hair!!
I love your short look, but I LOVE this...I think you look younger!
Marge Burkel”7$
How amazing. He was so professional and you would never know you had hair extensions, because you did not have them too long. Beautiful x
Your so beautiful! You can grow your hair on your own, hair extensions are not necessary for you! 🙋🏻
Hair extensions are not only for those who have problems growing hair or have thinning hair, it is an accessory for those who knows its about The Look sometimes. Fantasy is everything hunty.
Looks fantastic!, also liked the long length on you before he cut it. It gave you a totally different look that works great for you as well.
Extensions, porcelain veneers, and a "strategic" lift.... I may need a highly lucrative, after hours banking job to be able to keep up with my anti aging regimen!!! :D
+Marg Oz it's going take more than a banking job. LOL
+Jennifer Ann Fox (Feathers in the Nest) I think it requires an "Italian Job"- when you ROB the bank :)
Looks great! I agree, hair is just that, hair. Tomorrow I go to my hairdresser and I am chopping mine off in a similar style that your extensions are now cut into. I like change too! It keeps things more fun. Enjoy your new hair.
listen ladies she has the money...she can do what she wants
claudia silva not about the money in the sense you think, BUTTTT they're poorly done, don't blend well and not enough was added to remove that "extension" look. When you're paying that much, you shouldn't have to curl your hair to hide an awful job and shouldn't have to second guess it. It's like he was trying to assure not only her, but himself when he kept saying "it looks fantastic"
So pretty ! It sure is fun to change up your hair. Loved your wedding photo! Gorgeous!
you are so pretty ,yeah you look like ashley judd but for me, you also look like faith hill!
Thank you! I've heard both, and they are wonderful compliments :)
dashielle neishan and
