You keep trying everything with your hair and gently, patiently explain what the heck you are doing with your hairdryer and brush as you create your wonderful hairstyles! It actually improves the condition of the hair.

Thank you so much for pointing out the importance of the blowdry for this cut! It really is the difference between the dated look and the modern look. Subtle corrections to the styling really make it modern. People have been complimenting my "new" haircut but it's just the blowdry that changed!

I appreciate how you gave short hair such versatility. I was in a bit of a panic when I recently re-cut my hair into a bob and styling my short bob but im now excited to blowing it out in a different way. Was definitely blowing it inward which was creating a bump

I watched your video twice before finally deciding to try the blow out technique to avoid bumps …

I've been binge watching your videos! Lol I stopped wearing make up, when I turned 40 and I just cut my hair short to get rid of my blonde hair and go back to my natural graying hair. I LOVE your videos. It's a real education! I have NEVER put effort into my hair, but when I showed up with my short hair everybody at work loved it and so now I am determined to learn to blow dry my hair as good as my hairdresser. So far the results have been hilarious! Lol I am a bartender at a country club and have to look my best. Thank you so much for these helpful videos!

Thank you SO MUCH for this amazing tutorial. It is clear, to the point and easy to follow - which for me was a life changer!!! Yes - my short bob (growing out my pixie) was poofy and I looked I was carrying lots of fluff on my head - but now, after 1st try and following your am advice - no more poof - my blow out looks like a walk out of a salon and got many compliments on my zoom meeting. My hair is soft, straight, with nice volume and the bouncy front. Thank you thank you!!! + I love that you show other options - I wearing my hair today pinned with a cute pin. Thank you - cannot say it enough.

You must have known I needed this video! I’ve gone to a similar cut and really didn’t know how to style it correctly. I was getting the ole lady look! I love your sense of humor too. Thoroughly enjoy your videos every week!

I love your short hair tutorials -- I have the same haircut ,and learning your drying and styling tricks has been great. I get so many compliments!! Would love to see a video on day and night face and eye creams for mature women at different price points. I look forward to seeing you every week -- so glad I found you a few months ago!

Thanks for this vid, I'm also growing out my pixie (and my hair colour) so this was so timely 😀. I'd also love you to talk about eye creams for us over 50s. Thanks again :)

Your hair is so pretty and I love the color. My pixie grow out is a tad shorter on the sides than yours and is as far as I go when growing it out. Thanks for the fun tutorial :)

Thank you!!! I’ve got almost the same haircut but could not make it look good - always looked “old lady like” ...just as you mentioned.
I followed your tutorial this morning and so much better!!! 😀
    Big THANK YOU!!!

Grew out my pixie bob! I had it cut last January... and it's nice and long. It's funny when I look back at photos from a year ago and how well it grew out!
Looking forward to seeing what you will be doing during the grow out phases!

I think all these looks are great on you, Dominique. I wish I had access to Ceron because the cut is the most important part to a good hairstyle? I love short hair on women, especially if they are 50+. You've given me some inspiration to let my sides grow out and get the back stacked. We'll see how it grows? 💛

I agree totally! I love my hairdresser but honestly men make the best hairdressers, mine died many years ago.

@@robinreganoconnell4697 So true about male hairdressers! My mom and I had one decades ago. And then I did have one probably about 20 years ago, but we moved and the drive was too much even for a haircut! LOL. Traffic in LA is horrible (well, it used to be anyway!) My hairdresser is great with color, but sometimes on the cut she's not as good. I'd love to get a french bob. Saw a You Tube video of a hairdresser doing it with a razor and I'm like sooo in love. But I doubt my gal can do that.

I have that problem too. BUT Dominique got me hooked not only on Healium hairspray, but then I tried Healium’s other products and even my Aveda hairstylist noticed the increased volume in my hair. Healium has a tutorial and a bundle for fine hair (last I ordered)...and that has helped my volumeless limp hair a lot. FWIW. 😊 oh! And I just started using the sea salt spray from Healium and that adds texture and volume too that I like.

Hey Dominique - I'm pretty sure you can't demonstrate this on yourself, but I'll bet lots of women besides me are growing out their silver. I'd love to see how to make this look professional during both the grow-out phase and beyond! My blond-y friends don't have much of an issue, but the rest of us ... ay! Got any ideas that don't involve wearing a headband or spraying on color! LOL! I'm the boss and I need to look like it! Thanks for all your fantastic content!

I heavily highlighted and then grew out so that the difference between the gray and the highlights were less obvious. Then I cut it as short as I felt comfortable and grew it out from there...

Robin, I grew mine out 2 years ago, and used a Fanciful rinse to tone down the regrowth line. Fanciful has to be put on everyday unless you don’t get your hair wet, and it comes in many many many colors!
Good luck and enjoy the freedom of not coloring! 😁
