- So compact and portable, you can bring the V-1HD and use it anywhere! The V-1HD makes it easy to connect and switch video cameras, smart phones, computers, tablets, Blu-ray players and other HDMI video sources with a simple push of a button or slide of the T-Fader. It supports professional compositing effects such as picture-in-picture and keying allowing for graphic insets, titling or even “green screen” ideal for news broadcast or corporate training productions.
I love mine. I use them on two laptops with two 50" monitors and Tascam ministudio. Can't wait to get the learning curve over, although for more technical things. Starting out is plug and play. The menu is simple and intuitive to use to change settings and add enhancements. This thing does everything, green, blue, black, white screen composites, all on the fly. I had a s-video Panasonic mixer back in the day, and it makes life so easy.
Fantastic.... some years ago. Now ATEM Mini is the king
In my opinion the mini is useless without a preview output
It’s a weird add. The V-1HD is a professional product but they treat it like a consumer one. You know, like one of those Apple Watch or Samsung Galaxy commercials. On a side note, I’m surprise they included a HDCP on/off switch for DVD/Blu-Ray sources. Wonder if it can be used to make dubs of those sources. Would like to use it for making backups and archiving my DVR.
I think you're misunderstanding the HDCP ON/OFF feature. The light on top of the panel only indicates that HDCP content/hardware is connected. If you switch HDCP to OFF it simply means you WILL NOT be able to hook up copyright protected media. If you switch HDCP to ON it simply means you are able to display copyright protected media -- IF you have a monitor/display/projector that had HDCP decoding built-in. In other words, you can NOT use this as a professional "pass through" device to copy your HDCP protected content. Sorry.
Mel Feliciano I believe they’re just reaching to the ProSumer market. If you noticed, there’s no SDI capability, otherwise it would be more to the Pro Market
It looks like the Blackmagic "ATEM Mini" is a serious competitor of it.
Long awaited !!!
Amazing ROLLAND PROFESSIONAL A/V
Nice device
We have audio coming in via RCA from our mixer. Its coming into our Roland V-1HD. When audio comes out of the Roland V-1HD, does it come out of HMDI? Or when you come in with RCA, is the only audio out option RCA (and not HMDI). We really want HDMI out for audio because the our is going into our YOLOLIV YoloBox.
Very nice photos sa
Where is Roland shop for by this mixer
It would be nice to have a firmware update to be able use the USB to PC for live streaming, like the newly announced Roland VR-1HD.
hi rolnd i have a problem aspect radio like video ovel when i using camera panasonic UX90 how to fix it?
Donde lo puedo comprar?
I'm a big fan of Roland gear but am surprised by the total lack of customer service. I tried to call but they don't accept calls. So I filed a question. Last time I did this they literally took 6 months to respond (that's not an exaggeration). I recently purchased a V-1HD and am getting heavy pixelation when in mix mode and switching between A-->B or the opposite. It doesn't seem to be an internal setting (or at least I can't find the setting). Does anybody know what might be causing this? Could I possibly have a defective unit?
how do you update firmware roland v-1hd ??
please can you make a video about it?
Yes, they need to do a firmware update video.
This video is from 4 years ago!!! USB connection? What about thunderbolt connections?
MotoPLAY USB 3.0 is as fast as thunderbolt.
This looks pretty legit at this price point.
As long as the tech is stable it should be a pretty good tool to be used as a component with a larger system of compatible devices. I wouldn't dare use it as a stand alone system without a streaming device, audio board and external monitors.
This is only a switcher, but how do you record your live video? Do it have a SD card slot to record scene. What kind of recorder that takes HDMI output from this unit? Any answer is greatly appreciated. Thanks Larry
The V-1HD does not have built-in recording capability, but you can run the output to one of the Atomos Ninja monitor/recorders, for instance.
The V-1HD does not have recording or USB output. Some streaming services like Ustream offer cloud recording or you could get a HDMI to USB capture device and record the HDMI output to your computer or as Jason suggested an Atomos recorder.
Wow i like it
Do you have any suggestions on HDMI cables to get for a stage setup? I see some online w built in chips to boost the signal but have no idea what's reliable. I'm also guessing 50ft is probably the longest I should go.
Project Definition I recommend an HDI to SDI converter so you can extend it for really great lengths with out loosing too much power. Black Magic has something like it.
Question how will you be able to actually record would you need a monitor that you can record or does the software on you laptop have an opinion of recording then play back?
A.B.S Productions, LLC need something like a atomos external monitor recorder
It is not a recorder. It's just controller. Expensive controller. It has HDMI output which you should connect to recording device.
a real resolution output? in some models, the internal processing of the spoils the quality of the output.
Do you need two hands to work this doodad? I’m asking because I’m a smoker.
Does it work for live streaming
Thinking of buying a mac to go with our Roland V 1HD. What model of Mac does it work with? I understand some Macbooks do not give a 1080 option. Would appreciate your advice on this
Good mixser, whatever the price, mister
Whats the cost ?
Awesome
What’s the model of the preview display here?
The only thing I care about in this video is when she moves the hair off her ear to show that ear jewelry 🤩🤩🤩

how do you record video out of Roland V-1HD Video Switcher?
Hi, can it be used with Canon M6?
I am producing an event and need to have the switcher output go to a VGA input big screen projector and house audio board AND also record video/audio. Is there a pass through recorder that can output both?
Hi Janet, the V-1HD will allow you to embed audio into the HDMI signal. I recommend that you take the house audio (aux stereo channel) and input that into the "audio in" jack on the back of the V-1HD. Using the HDMI output from the V-1HD go into a recording device that has an HDMI pass thru like the Atomos Ninja 2. You can record both the audio and video to an SSD on the Ninja and then take the pass thru HDMI out and convert to Analog VGA to your projector. If you are going more than 30 feet from the recorder to the projector, I would recommend the Roland HDBaseT Converters called the HT-RX01 and HT-TX01 transmitter and receiver. You can create a point to point cat6 cable run up to 100 meters. Hope this helps and thanks for your interest.
To be very honest and direct, I wouldn't use this device as an audio board. Instead I would take my various sources including maybe a line level of the house system and mix it with a stand alone board then marry my sources together with whatever output device I'm using. A longer video shows the delay options available.
Guys, I need help. I just bought the V-1HD... but I don't know how to connect it to my computer for direct livestreaming or how to record its video/audio output directly from my MacBook. Do I need extra equipment? Thanks!!
Vigilance you need something like BM mini recorder, out put from v1hd to macbook for recording you will need software to record. You would need the BM mini recorder or similar for streaming also on macbook.
@@vigenk06 Thanks!!
No page and no one is answering me... how long of HDMI I can use... i want to use this device in a big church so than...???
Not a good idea to use long HDMI cables. You'll degrade the signal in the process. The best and most expensive way is to use SDI cables, with HDMI to SDI, and SDI to HDMI adapters at both ends. This method is expensive, however. A cheaper way would be an HDMI over Cat 5 adapter, you'll be able to get around 100' runs with it.
@@warrenkawamoto8660 Thank you.. for the information...
I need one of these, but the cost is way too much for it, it should be cheaper, is there one like it cheaper?
This is pretty cheap.

Hello, this switcher looks awesome. I want to help my church with live streaming. Can you please give me a list of all the equipment I will need besides this switcher to shoot 3 - 4 cameras? And the link where I can buy this switcher? Thanks
Additionally equipment, you will need a hardware encoder like VidiU Pro by Teradek, or a capture device (Magewell HDMI to USB) and software encoder (Wirecast or OBS) in your computer with a USB 3.0 port.
How much cost
How much?
I want the v 1HD
Nice 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Which monitors are those one.
anyone know if i can use this v-1HD for facebook, i want to streaming like a program, so i want to switch diferents cameras, tnks everyone.
Yeah you can! you only need to connect this mixer to a PC using a video capture card, then you can use OBS (Open broadcaster), but I only could find that you only can stream to Facebook through a Facebook Page, not a Facebook Profile.
Anyway, I hope this would help you
I wonder how much this "toy" costs, at last here in brazil.
How much
shame it has the noise fan
HELLO i tried everything to connect Gopro Hero 5 black camera's from the camera's Hdmi output directly into de VH-1Hd but the only output signal i get is a small video stroke in the left top corner ...the rest of the outputscreen is black.. If i use an older Gopro Hero 4 and do the same the output is normal....can someone tell me what is gong wrong?
Can I record video?
please how to connect it to internet and stream on on internet
Does it support USB streaming?
+Lyudmil Buyukliev The V-1HD does not have built-in USB streaming but you could use a capture device from HDMI to USB 3.0 like Magewell to stream or record up to 1080p.
The audio mixer thing - audio follow video? A tad confusing....

It is an asset for researchers, and may I ask u to subscribe?
wow
with how much long cables it can work
Well that's just a matter of HDMI signal degrading over long cables. That has nothing to do with this unit.
this one work good weth 5d mark2
It should work as long as you can have the settings in the V-1HD that match the output resolution of your DLSR camera.
Kapan ya bisa punya sendiri.
harga brp
ok
why does it cost $1,000 that is WAY TOO MUCH FOR IT, should cost really LESS, I need it
The cost of research and development, manufacturing, materials etc. It's still a relatively limited market and one which changes rapidly.
