Great job showing us where the pairing button was because I couldn't see on your video and mine doesn't have a pairing button I'm trying to change an existing Roku remote to a different Roku box
Take out the battery cover of your remote, should be a small button on the back. Hold it down for about 5 seconds and then it should pair.

This is out a thousand videos I have watched the freaking easiest way and there are no words to say how much I appreciate this video because I was ready to throw the remote through the wall. It somehow got unprogrammed from the Roku TV it came with and I could not for the life of me get it to reprogram after watching all of these dumb videos that had nothing to do Re-programming the same remote to the same TV.
I have a remote that is rechargeable. Just push the button on the back bottom and hit the arrows like he says. My cat just sat on my remote and somehow unpaired it. Now we are back in action. Thank you!!!
You have a roku TV. So that was really simple for you, to actually pair that remote. I have a totally different brand t. V and a roku stick

My Roku tv is an RCA Roku TV and the remote doesnt have the light or button in the battery case.

In my case, I didn’t need to pair. No light but as soon as I put the batteries in it worked.

Without a pairing button tip activated remote pair mode. Thanks!!! Tip 2: found the power button for my on 32in. Good stuff!!! Tv entered pairing mode right off and one minute max later was all good. Soopa solid dooder. Fine work Freddie👍

I just got a whole new ROKU system and I can't seem to Pair my remote. When I go to my TV it shows an image of 3. shapes that look like an egg that has an image in the shaped of an egg and the middle image shows a 5. next to it with a circle around the 5. with a finger pointing to the Pairing button on the back of the remote and I don't have a Pairing button on the back of my remote. That is how the remote came out of the box. Nothing is happening and I'm at a loss as to what to do. I hope this helps you help me. Thank You! for sharing this video.

Does this work on a TV that has not been setup yet? My parents got my grandma a Roku TV for Christmas 8 months ago. We just installed it to find that the remote had been lost in that time. The TV is now being turned on for the first time (I programmed a cable remote to turn the TV on and off) but it is stuck on a "Let's get started" menu

What if I haven’t connected my tv to wifi
My tv disconnected from the tv and I got a new remote and does not want to connect
Then connect the remote using these instructions.
If you don't have a remote and the tv isn't connected you're fucked, buy a Samsung universal remote for $10 and don't waste time on the Roku app
