Thomas Friedman was another champion of the open world of globalized neoliberalism with books like The Lexus And The Olive Tree and The World Is Flat. It's not a viewpoint that holds much water these days.

@@stevebarrera7513 I think that's because neoliberalism has not - in the short term - forced liberal democracy, although I hope it may do in the long term. The Information Age means that it is harder for people to be, or plead, ignorance
