    Hi Gene! Great video, very interesting. Talking about myself, I don't image pulling more than 125-130Kg in the upcoming years or doing dips heavier than 200-210Kg. Obviously I don't have the perfect genetics as you mention, hopefully we will see some young promises that may be capable of getting close to that. But still, a 160Kg pull up or 240Kg dip at 90Kg bw.... in my opinion it's impossible. But time will tell!

    i would say that these estimations on what is left to be achieved are pretty optimistic
    if you pick up the numbers from elite powerlifters from the 1970/80's's and compare them to the all time world records established up to now the progress will stay around the 20% basis at most
    For instance, Larry Pacifico in 1973 had a 905kg total at the 110kg class, meanwhile today's world record for that same class is of 1070kg by Yury Belkin
    Eddy Pengelly scored a 707kg total in 1980 at the 67.5kg class, today the world record is 752kg by Gerald Dionio
    So, i would say that in the near future, the best +93kg streetlifting athletes would achieve a 140kg pull up and a 240kg dip, while smaller athletes in the 80kg range would be elite with a 130kg pull-up and a 210kg dip

      Don’t take anybody else’s down playing advice as the truth of what is possible for you. Do not allow yourself to give attention and focus to the reality that others project onto you for what’s possible for you. You are incredibly unlimited so much more than you know, and you have within you the tools and potential to actualize this and truly achieve the feats of strength that you truly desire.
      I’m telling you right now that the only reason you desire these numbers is because a higher part of you knows that this is possible for you.
      Stay true to your dreams and remain consistent and resilient and you will absolutely shit on them and overcome any obstacles/plateaus standing in your way. All while proving to yourself and reminding yourself of the infinite powerful being that you are at your core. You got it bro

    The only way you'll really know is if the sport grows enough to have a large pool of talent, such as a sport like powerlifting does. There's a very small sample size and event structure and technique has not been fully solidified yet. But I agree the average person way underachieves their potential.

    • @maaaxxoo
      @maaaxxoo 21 день тому +1

      Yes but in Competition Form and lower Weight classes its different. Smaev pulls 170 with a Bodyweight of probably around 135. Which means its a 125% Bw Pull. Ludo pulls 125 around 90kg which is 138%. Some People pull around 100 at 60 which is 166%. So his relative Strength isnt that crazy. Not to discredit his achievements.

  • @ConnoisseurOfExistence
    @ConnoisseurOfExistence 6 місяців тому +2

    I think that your first set of numbers are definitely not achievable by untrained average 30 years old men. It's crazy to think that genetically average person can pull up +100 kg and dip +150. I've seen plenty of people training for 10+ years, who can't even bench press 150 kg. In fact, less than 5% of men, who regularly do bench press for years, can lift that much.

    Yo i haven’t even watched the video yet but here’s my take:
    There is no REAL limit to our potential in ANYTHING. The only limits we ever face are the ones that we believe we have.
    We are humans and therefore are beings who have inside of us our own spark of infinite consciousness. And included in this infinite consciousness and with the combination of free will we have the ability to cut ourselves off from our true power of infinite strength by developing beliefs about how the human body works or what it’s capable of, which ultimately leads to our experience of “limitations”
    But I’m so deadass rn when I say that I will fully embody the idea of infinite possibility when it comes to my street lifting strength and skills and I will prove the truth of the words I am saying.
    It may sound like a silly unrealistic sort of fantasy reality that I’m speaking about, but I garuntee that this is the truth.
    And Gene bro once i master these methods of translating the ancient spiritual wisdom of the infinite nature of humans into practical applicable methodologies for streetlifting, Imma show you so you can be a leader of this new era of limitless potential in the fitness world.

      The thing is, you will live a finite amount if time and progress at a finite speed. So, I agree with you that we can theorically progress indefinitely, I believe we are limited by our lifespan.

    I’m soon 17 years old, 183cm and 73kg. When I started going to the gym I couldn’t even bend my arms while hanging on a pull up bar. Now almost 2 years later I can do a pull up 1rm with 50kg. I haven’t been training weighted pull ups until a month ago, I just did other back exercises. I would like to think that I have been training fairly effective since I have been training close or at failure a ton.
    What do you think my 1rm will be in 1, 5, 10 years?

    These numbers are kinda insane and , if you ask me, likely unachievable ( talking about BEST genetics record). Most of the guys who have accomplished 190 kg dips and 120 kg pull ups are on gear. If you are natural athlete with a decent genetics , you will be approximately able to pull about 100 kg and dip with 150 kg. That's what Artem Shirokov has achieved. I deem he's a natural athlete, at least he looks like he is. May be i'm wrong , but you can observe some streetlifting athletes' progress and make your own conclusion.

I’m at 60kg on the weighted dip for 1 and 43kg for the weighted pull-up but I’ve only been strength training consistently for about a year and a half now so I have a lot of work to do!
