    My eBook and training program: www.thebioneer.com/shop/sft2
    ***
    In this video I list 6 of my favourite calisthenics moves. Specifically, these are movements that offer a significant stimulus for muscle growth and strength while ALSO being technical progressions towards advanced skills.
    There is a difference between doing lots of high-rep push ups and being able to handstand push up. These are entirely different skills and modalities, with completely different benefits. How do you transition from one to the other? While still building muscle and feeling like you've gotten. good workout?
    In this video, I attempt to answer that question. This also serves as something of a complete workout - offering pushing movements, pulling movements, core training, rotational work, and leg training.
    Let me know what you think of the list gang! What are your favourite calisthenics movements?

      Hey Adam quick question. I've been training full-body bodyweight workouts for years and my joints are sore now. How do you deal with sore joints? I'm thinking of splitting my workout up into a bro split to give the joints more time between the same moves.

      Hey Bioneer, i want to say that i love your channel and im saying this to help. But i think one of the reasons your views are declining is because of your thumbnails, they arent really engaging. Primarily the collor choice. Especially the bluish and yellow colors dosn’t really go together. Again i may not be right, but saying this because i want to help you🙂

    Pulling the chest to the bar doesn't require an arch and it might put you into a pseudo front lever at the top.
    The execution is slightly different depending on your grip, with a closer grip allowing you to get higher up while working your wrist pronators.
    Also, you not only want to engage your core but to fully extend your toes and squeeze your knees together.

    Another great chalistenic exercise is dragon pistol squat,I think that one is the hardest leg exercise with only your body weight as it involves so many mechanics,like everything in your body is put to work,you need strength,mobility,flexibility,balance,endurance,it's just so many things into only 1 thing

    To me, calisthenics has always been push-ups, pull-ups, lunges, etc. This whole “bodyweight” thing is still pretty recent. But I also remember when Matt Fuery’s Combat Conditioning and Pavel’s Naked Warrior books first came out. This was before gymnastics skills started getting popular.

  • @LycaonsMemories
    @LycaonsMemories Місяць тому

    so for me the difference between the two, is the high rep movements are done as a single movement. ie you do lots of push ups, then you rest. where calistinics is where you do multiple moves as a single rep (unless you are learning)

    Whenever you do pullups you should lock your legs and squeeze them together so they dont flail around like a noodle. It adds stability to the movement and takes away some of the strength/energy leak during the movement. Plus it looks a LOT better visually.

    I used to do sternum pull ups with closer grip cause i was looking to involve more lats. I added difficulty imaging to pull lower than the sternum, to make the motion similar to a lat pull down.
    It worked great, if i may be so bold🪵
