I like that you didn't hide the fact the hose fell back into the house. And instead chose to isolate the mistake, and show us how to prevent it. Thanks.

Glad to know I don't have to cut open the wall to replace a leaking Woodford 17.

My husband is NOT a handyman. Nor am I so thank God for UA-cam videos. This is the first I've watched that actually showed the hose. (I was clueless as to what was inside the wall.) Hopefully after hubby watches this and other videos about fixing leaky outside faucets, we will tackle this project!

More than likely you do not have this setup so if your Sill-cock is not going into the crawl space you will then have to cut into the wall to get to the plumbing system and if that is what you will have to do then it is best to cut into the Sheetrock from inside to do this but don't try doing it from the outside it is easier to repair Sheetrock and not the Siding.

He doesn't always drink water, but when he does it's from an outside faucet.

Do you know what brand/model of faucet the damaged one is? Doesn't look to be a Woodford given there is teeth on the check valve of the stem.

Does the shark bite make a click noise when you push it in? If so, why do you need to mark the depth?

Why are u using pipe dope on potable water.

If you do as he explained making sure not to put it on the female side then as it is threaded into the female, the threads on her pushes the dope outward so no dope gets into the water system.
