Spo took a roster that should been in the lottery for the past 4 years to the finals, conference finals and playoffs. Also he is a top 15 coach ever on the nba 75 list

Jason kidd is ABSOLUTELY D tier. Horrible rotations, he’d rather play frank nitlikina over jaden hardy while frank cant do anything on the offensive side of the ball. His minutes for josh green are incredibly inconsistent despite josh improving immensely and being one of our better defender, lets not even TALK about the Cwood situation. We needed cwoods offense early in the season when we didnt have kyrie and lost brunson but he was coming off the bench for the longest time, then when he finally started we went on a 7 game winning streak where cwood averaged 20 points and 2 blocks, now after hurting his hand and was out for 2 weeks he’s back to getting 15 minutes a game even on games where luka and kyrie are hurt. Not only that for a “defensive coach” our defense STINKED all season even before the kyrie trade. Yes we had some injuries but even when we had our defenders we still gave up a lot of buckets.
His plays absolutely suck, it’s literally give the ball to kyrie or luka and let them take a contested step back 3 or something. The ONLY time this worked out was the lakers game on friday where AD fell asleep on D.
His timeout usage is essentially non existent, teams will go on 11-0 runs all the time and he would refuse to call a timeout. Rick carlise absolutely out coached him when we played Indiana because of ricks timeout usage, AND THEY’RE ON THE SAME TIER. He should be D tier if not F tier

As a Lakers fan, you have Ham spot on. He’s not a good coach at all. He’s a great players coach & gets players to play hard, he’s like a big brother which is why he’s the perfect assistant head coach. But his rotations have been terrible all year & his love for Schroder is too much.
Spo should be S tier & I think is the best coach in the league. Just has a bad roster outside of Jimmy, Bam & Herro this year.

carlisle in c tier is silly
Is this for their entire careers or just this season?
Thibs deserves a A for this season for the fact that he settled on a concrete 9 man roster (10 man with McBride getting spot minutes) and finally letting the young guys play. They’ve been one of the best teams once he cut fournier and rose from the lineup
Ty Lue is def a C or below this season his rotations are awful and it took him so long to fking start benching Russ in the fourth
Steve Kerr has struggled balancing minutes between his young players and his vets although it might be on the young players not adapting fast enough to the warrior system + the whole Anthony lamb situation
Spo has definitely coached his way to a S tier given what he’s been given each season and especially this season with barely any roster changes
Mike Brown has to be A or higher based on this season the kings are overachieving and he knows when to play Huerter vs his bench guys Monk and TDavis
Harden and Embiid are literally the only reasons why Doc is not in the F tier but his true test is playoffs adjustments
Jacque Vaughn’s been exposed as a slightly less shittier coach than nash and whose shitty rotations and minutes management are questionable
Clifford Silas and Ham are certified F tier coaches they’re all straight garbage at rotations and managing young players(Silas and Clifford). Ham has no idea how to manage late game timeouts and his ATOs are straight garbage with no Bron
Clifford cannot be F tier, he brought a trash ass magic team to the playoffs three times. He deserves D tier at least

He got exposed when KD got injured and wasn't in the lineup. This man was 67-163 as a head coach with the Magic, and we are starting to see why!
Why are we taking team talent into account with Doc but not Monty? Monty got beat by the Mavs in possibly the most embarrassing playoff loss ever with much superior talent to the Mavs. Crazy.

For Joe Mazulla i dont care about the ranking but i really hope you’re not holding a bad stretch against him. If youre not going to allow the sample size to make him a higher ranking then it should be the same for a small stretch of bad losses

Solid list, thanks for respecting Mark Daigneault, he’s been an amazing coach. I would have him A Tier, but I understand he hasn’t had playoff success yet and is still a bit young to be that high, so B is fine.

As a jazz fan hardy is so fucking good the jazz have been almost the same level throughout the year despite dealing with injuries and a completely gutted roster. He has managed to pull them together so well it's insane

Wow.. this list looks mostly based off the record this year, not really anything to do with the coaches.
The fact that you have Finch below Kidd is laughable, considering he still has them in the playoffs with all the roster turnover and missing a top 30ish player for 51 games.. Oh, and molding Ant who was a question coming in, and Jaden who was a unknown coming in, into of the the best young duos in the league.
While Kidd has literally flamed out in multiple places, and has possible the best player in the league, and got another top guy in Kyrie and is doing even less with both of them. Respect the personal choices, but this clearly is more of a 'how are they doing record wise this year' as compared to how talented/good a coach is.
