Thanks Melissa .! You do such beautiful work. I went from the first 3 or 4 part beginners tutorials you had and now I can and am doing this one. I have a long way to finish it but I would never be able to do this if you hadn't taught me so well. And I feel that I wish I could learn how to measure for varied size knots with suitable yarns as I need to know how long each is in order not to waste my cord. I absolutely admire your talent for your macrame skills and you are a great teacher who takes time to explain....So for all this I thank you.!
Love it!! thank you so much for share... your videos are so easy to understand and your work is beautiful. Can't wait to start this beautiful hanger. Thanks again from NSW Australia. xx
The crown knot is how those plastic scoubidou things were made... If anyone remembers them haha. Makes the idea of creating macrame like this fairly simple if you know you've done it before!
Hi Melissa! This macrame is absolutely beautiful! I am very new to macrame and are learning so much from you. I have question. Is there any way one can calculate the length of the cord needed when pattern is decided? Like how much cord is needed for each knot? I know this of course depends on thickness of cord and type of knot but if you think basic knots and average size cord? I have so many failed projects due to too short cords and too much waste from too long. Macrame cord is expensive so would like to learn how to measure more correctly before I loose motivation and give up;). Thank you for great tutorials!
I love this! The only knot I'm finding difficult is the crown knot. I was thinking a berry knot could work, but that would be awkward. I'd bring the ends together to finish the diamond with the hitch to keep it simple. This is a beautiful project though and I've learned a lot from your videos! Where do you get your wood from?
Hi Melissa! Thank you for these videos. I'm new to Macrame and your videos have really helped. I do have a really random question for you... where do you get your drift wood? Do you buy them somewhere or are you finding them? Thanks!
Thanks so much for this! Beautiful piece and a very doable project, looking forward to it!! 😄 If anyone has recommendations/favourite shops for cotton rope out of Canada it would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
