Wow this brings back memories! I made these a lot in high school. I'd hook the top loop to the knob of an upper kitchen cabinet and used mostly the spiral pattern and a massive spool of brick red cord the same size you use here. Wish I had known this diamond shaped topper but we're talking pre-internet so it was either a person taught you or you got a book from the library. So nostalgic I think I'll need to make one!
I finally got around to this project, only I turned mine into airplant hangers. Added twice the rope, now there's room for 2 airplants! I can never get enough of your videos, keep doing a wonderful job. . .we're all watching!
I just made this, very first macrame anything I've ever done - ever! Your instructions were so clear and easy to understand that I had no problems and it came out great! Thank you!!!
Have just finished a second hanger in this series. They look beautiful together :D Thank you SO much for these tutorials. Your instructions, angle, pace- couldn't be better.
I tried this pattern using Paracord, and it came out great. I plan to make 10 of them, all in different colors where the pot matches the paracord, and make a hanging herb garden.
This is so lovely! I can't wait to find the perfect piece of driftwood to make it with. Very clear instructions and I liked that not a a bit of it was edited out. I like seeing it from start to finish, even if repetitive, I know I understand the steps now!
Love all 4 planters, you did a great job teaching me how to do these and I am spending this weekend following you and making these. Absolutely love them all but that basket one is the one I am going to make as gifts for a few friends. Thank you ever so much.! Hope you come on with more. It was too bad you had such a cold and glad you are better.!
merci pour tes vidéos ...j ai appris a faire du macramé en te regardant ....j ai très bien réussi ! ;) thank you for your videos ... I learned to make macrame while watching you .... I did very well! ;)
Thank you so much for your amazing tutorials, you are so wonderful at making things really clear. I have created this one and was surprised how easy you made it feel. Thank you xoxoxo
this looks like it could also be used as a ukelele holder... gonna have to try this! thanks so much... totally groovy design... looks like something I can actually do!
Show,... que tutorial maravilhoso, muito didático mesmo sem falar uma palavra na sua língua consegui aprender, pela sua maravilhosa forma clara e objetiva de ensinar. Parabéns.
You are such a great teacher, very clear precise explanations. These are lovely, I made #2 along with your video using yarn for knitting I already had as practice, it came out great. I have a small plant hanging in my window thanks to you. Will have to purchase macrame string to make this one!
Love this one !! .. i had an idea though when you where making the back part of the plant holder, three rows down from the branch.. i thought for the middle knot .. if you tie that one a little bit lower than the rest, you could make it look like a heart ! i finished # 3 plant hanger and love it.. now i want to make this one.. for a present.. Thank you Melissa so much for your patterns !
can you do a tutorial on how to do a macrame rug (round or rectangle), how to do a macrame table runner and place mats, and also how to treat your own drift wood?? thank you. I'm loving your tutorials.
I've been watching alot of macrame tutorials, and you have the most comprehensive ones I've seen so far. I would never dream that I could make this, but you really broke it down and walked us all the way through it, so I'm about to go try. Nice camera work too. I really appreciate you putting out such helpful content like this for everyone to use!
I love your plant hanger ideas 😍 I’d love you to make more. It would be great if you would also list your materials and where you get them in the description box I’ve been trying to do them with different string I can find where I’m from but the packages I’m getting are only enough to make one at a time
Спасибо большое. Я из России. Увлекалась макраме. Искала рисунок именно такой , где будет горшок закрыт . Hello, I'm from Russia . She was fond of macrame, weaving planters for flowers. I was looking for just such a drawing to cover the pot. Thank you, everything was clear , but a little fast for a beginner )))
Your videos are really helpful and fun to watch. Would you be able to show us how to make a macrame plant hanger that does not have a tail? Thank you!!!
Hi Melissa! I Love this so much! I'm finally about ready to start it. I ordered the wrong size rope :( I got 1/4 " from knot and rope. So I went looking to buy some 1/8 " locally today and found NOTHING! So . . . mine will be really chunky. But it's a Mothers Day gift so oh well... praying for the best outcome. I made two of the macra-mini keychains while I watched this video a couple of times... I think I'm ready.
Hello, This is the first time I see your work, and may I say your work is extremely beautiful, clean and precise. I will definitely be trying this project. Thank you so much. I look forward to viewing more of your work.
I love your work. I definitely had to try this project and it came out beautifully! Awesome instructions! Clear and precise! What other projects do you have???
Why you stop making videos? I tried all of this n its comes out superb. I wise you could make more videos. It really too helpful. And I like you way of teaching.
I'm not sure if explaining the length of cord needed by "body length" is the most accurate and helpful method. Especially for beginners like myself. I'm almost 6' tall so my hanger obviously won't be the finished length you show. I personally would find it more helpful if you could supply additional measurements in feet or cm. Otherwise your videos are great! Thank you for sharing them.
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I made it and it turned out beautiful. Thank you for taking the time to show step-by-step for this beginner right here! 🙋🏻♀️☺️

I made this in small stuff, hanging from a pencil I was whittling - just big enough to hold a small air plant. Fantastic; thank you!
I tried this pattern using Paracord, and it came out great. I plan to make 10 of them, all in different colors where the pot matches the paracord, and make a hanging herb garden.

I love this style but it’s tricky finding the right pot for it. The back of the hanger seems very open and easy for the plant to fall out.
Thank you so much! I love your clear, precise and simple explanations!! Tammy.
Saludos desde Veracruz México me encantó el vídeo
Спасибо большое. Я из России. Увлекалась макраме. Искала рисунок именно такой , где будет горшок закрыт .
