ネオン満載でサイバーパンクなKATEのカーチェイスシーンと、このPVの背景のネオンカラーがこれで繋がりましたね！
KATEにBAND-MAIDが出ると発表されたのが2019年11月27日。
このBloomingのPVが公開されたのが2019年12月10日。
このPVを撮影するときにはすでにKATEへの出演が決まっており、PV撮影に際してはKATE側から”こんなイメージで”と伝えられていたのかな？と勝手に妄想を膨らませ楽しんでおります！笑
この曲は何度も聴いているはずなんですが、未だに聴いていて鳥肌が立つ事があります。それくらい鮮度が落ちず、ゾクゾクさせてくれる曲なんだと思います。

今更かもしれませんが。。。
Bloomingのカウント後のイントロ2小節目までのフレーズとCarry on livingのギターソロ直前のフレーズって一緒なんですね。どちらの曲も別物なのに面白い😆
しかもBloomingは上昇フレーズと下降フレーズのハモりになってたりと、彼女達の音楽にはこういった音楽的な仕掛けがたくさんある上に、曲も良いときたもんだ。何度聴いても飽きないし、出会ってからここ1年ほど車中のBGMが彼女達以外のものに変わることって、ほんの数えるほどだったなあ🎵
小鳩ミクの作詞家としての偉大さは、もっと知られるべき。小鳩の歌詞はとにかくリズムが圧倒的に優れている。母音を落としたりつなげたり、音節の長さを自在に変えたりして、まるで英語のようなリズムを生み出している。歌詞の意味やメロディーではなくボーカルのリズムだけに注意して、他のJロックやJメタルの曲を聞いてから Blooming を聞くと、リズムの良さがよく分かる。日本語を知らない人が聞いてもボーカルがかっこよく感じる。難しくてカラオケで歌えないけど。
K-pop の日本語バージョンの歌詞はどれもこれもダサいけど、小鳩が作詞すればきっとかっこよくなるよ。

すっかり1年近く後発のDifferentに再生回数を抜かされてしまったが、BAND-MAIDを知らない人にまず聞かせるのはこの曲だと思う。比較的キャッチーで分かりやすいメロディで始まり、2コーラス終わった後、AKANEさんのギャロップビートにKANAMIさんのワウやタッピングを駆使したギターソロが重なっていき、裏ではMISAさんのベースが動き回り、このバンドは只者ではないと思わせる。それから、"Faraway~"の美しいハーモニーに移り、AKANEさんのドラムで盛り上げながら最後のサビに入り、再び、"Faraway~"に戻り、ギターソロが重なりながら、最後にドラムのフィルインで閉めるという秀逸な構成は普通の音楽好きなら引き付けられるはず。
個人的には最高傑作がDifferent、初見でバンドの魅力と凄さを一番伝えやすいのがBloomingと思ってます。
Whenever I need a jolt, I come back and listen to this masterful song again. Thank you, ladies.
男の発想ではできない名曲、BAND-MAIDで何回聞いても鳥肌になる曲の１曲。
そうそう この優しいPOPSのようなブリッジをつなげる感性が男にはない 全く別の曲がブリッジで割り込んできてバトルして乗っ取ったと思ったら、アウトロでは元の曲が復活する。
あらためて心の底からみんちょに驚愕する曲
言われてみれば、男の発想ではできないかも。
うまく形容できなかったけど、とっても腑に落ちました。

Three years since I discovered Band-Maid via Thrill. Then watched Real Existence, Non Fiction Days, Choose Me, Dice. Loved them all....but then watched the video for Blooming. Left breathless. An absolutely peerless track. Immediately became my favourite B-M song.. .in fact my favourite song. Lots of new songs since then and love them all but....this has remained my favourite through those years. Wonderful track, wonderful band, wonderful people.
Same here, keep coming back to this one. My absolute favorite; just don't ask me for a top 5 or top 10 list. 😂

Band-Maid is a versatile band, you listen to a different Band-Maid song and it'd sound very, very, different.
You could say this song is a masterclass in drumming, but then it's also a masterclass in bass, guitar, vocals and songwriting.

I'd say more rock than rock&roll cause for myself, rock&roll is more to me like Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, early Rolling Stones and the likes which doesn't sound anywhere near the rock in the 80's and how BAND-MAID sounds today.
I dont consider band maid songs as " rock and roll" imo. More like jrock to me. And i dont like rock and roll songa that much generally speaking.
I thought Band Maid was the best I could find until I discovered Lovebites. Now, Lovebites is my number one band and Band Maid is my favourite second one.

Kanami's solo is perfection There's no reason BAND-MAID couldn't be a huge hit worldwide. The US music industry is scared to promote bands like this. There's so much money to be made.

Bands like Babymetal tour in the States, so yeah I agree, this band could probably find some success.

FYI Slipknot and Band-Maid have already played in concert together in the East along with many other acts and Band-Maid and Slipknot are scheduled at a large music festival in Mexico this Spring. Stay tuned. Live Nation did not sign Band-Maid to play 800 seat venues.

I found them about three weeks ago, listened to a few of their songs/mvs, and named them my second favourite rock band, after Maiden.
This morning, after three weeks of comparing the two groups, I can say that these five girls are the best active rock band in the world in my opinion.
Sorry Bruce and company, but Band Maid has won my heart and ears completely.
I've never gotten goosebumps, nor have I experienced such high levels of dopamine, from Iron Maiden, The Beatles, or any other band, until I found Band Maid.

ご存じの方も多いと思いますが、この曲は、メンバー全員が持ち寄った曲をKANAMIさんが組み合わせてできあがったらしい奇跡の曲で、文字通り「作曲：BAND-MAID」です。コーラスの部分は、確か小鳩が持ってきたものだったと思います（当事者は、みんな、自分が持って行ったのがどの部分か、はっきりとした記憶がないようですが）。まあ、持ち寄った曲を組み合わせてこんな曲に仕上げること自体天才的だと思います。
歌波さんの曲を何曲も構成したかのように感じていました。謎が解けました！

I met the band last night at Tower Records Shibuya. They were doing PR for album release, not a meet & greet, but they still let us hang with them for like a half hour, shook our hands & talked to us. In typical Japanese fashion they were extremely polite, freindly & yes, beyond cute.
Bonus, there's an ad for the album on a building at Shibuya crossing that is like six stories high, very cool.

Agreed. I've played guitar for years but kind of started to get away from it. I found this band earlier this year and since have been playing more than ever. Definitely inspired me to get back into it.
輪廻のMVを初めて見たときに、涙が溢れました。歌詞とサウンドがすごく自分の心境に似ていたんですよね。BloomingのMVを見たときフーンって思ったんですけど、聞いていくうちに今までの曲で一番好きになってしまいましたー。一つ一つ聞いていくと粒がしっかりしているのに何故か凄くまとまっているような気がします。メンバー全員が自分をもっとアップデートしようとする姿勢がすごく感じ取れます。HR＆HM歴30年くらいですが、今まで聞いた中で世界最高のハードロックバンドです。こんなバンドを小箱＆中箱で見れるなんて凄く幸せです。

Conqueror is a masterpiece. A lot of people seem to think music is only good if it's heavy, which is nonsense. This album has darkness and light and everything in between. I'm deeply moved by it.
Versatility, it shows a lot of talent, especially in their writing.

They're versatil, that's nice, but to be honest from Conqueror I only like Reincarnation and this one. The songs I dislike the most are Endless Story and specially Page. If I have to choose between this version of Band Maid and their old heavier version, I choose the heavy style from the beggining. Anyway, I'll keep on supporting them, at least they decide to change their style radically, I would not tolerate this last.
If you have as long as I have, every album has its ups or downs. What I have heard from the group has been rock. From the first time that I listened to "Thrill" to now, they is my favorite. Rock on.

I’m 51 and love music. This band has extremely amazing talent. I’m only going to make a statement on the guitar for now because the whole band is top echelon. In my opinion the greatest guitars I have heard in my life are:
1. Hendrix, James Marshall
2. Lifeson, Alex - Tono, Kanami

Kanami if you somehow read this. Just recently saw an interview where she was sad about comments on Start Over. Don't listen anyone telling you what music to make, the majority of your fans do not think that. Band-Maid can make the music you WANT to make and plenty of people will listen. Conqueror proves this

I took my gf to see them in Dallas and they were so good it brought her to tears several times. They're masterful performers, and they deserve every bit of the success coming their way.
I also in Dallas HOB from Jpn. It was nice Okyuji!(^^) Once you experience their live,It's easy to see that their musicianship are true. And will never forget.
Let's not forget MVP And Kobato!! Her improvememt on the past 5 years is amazing. True dedication. Still waiting for some guitar duels between Kanami and her Student Kobato. 😁😁
