Hi Marc, Great lookin model so far. I'm building the exact same 1974 model . I found it ob E-Bay . Box was ruff but all pcs were there. I'm getting ready to start putting the sails on today. My old eyes can only work on it so long , then I have to quit for a while. It's lookin good so far.

This is a really cool buddy build! The cutty sark was part of the through the mail Revell/Monogram build club when I was a kid in the 70s between you two guys those ships will be awesome!

That looks a tremendous kit, quite large, I've been on the real thing as well, although that was when I was small enough to stand up when on the lower decks :)
Yes it is quite big, I would love to go see the Cutty Sark and the Victory and the Bluenose. yes, there's not a lot of room below deck. Thanks for watching Sarah-Jane
Have you thought about using a wood deck? They make custom ones you apply over the plastic
Yes I did, but for my first ship, I thought I would just stick to the kit, even though I did a bunch of custom work on this ship, Even though the custom work I did was just to make the ship more correct, Maybe next time I will look into doing a bit more, I have lots of ships left to do and have found that I love doing ships, wood or plastic, Thank you very much for watching my friend.

How do you know if the deck measurement is right don't see any kind of spreaders?
Lots of research on this ship and still doing some every time I work on it. I think I've spent more time on research than building so far lol

Yes, but that's more money that would have to be spent, money I don't have. I just make dew with what I have or make it, I just find a way.

Thank you sir, There's no rush my friend. I just got the paint in yesterday for the hull and deck, I can now get that all painted and continue on with the build. Can't wait to see yours.
