Hey, Jackson! I'm a new lax mom and appreciate your video. Good explanations, good use of graphics and really liked that you showed the dos AND the don'ts in action.
Most informative lacrosse video out there. I have been playing for 1 month now, and this cleared up a lot of thing i was confused about. If only i knew about this video a month ago, it could have saved me some embarrassing moments.
great video! if I can leave one note here it's that there's a "grinding" sound in the background that you can get rid of pretty easily on your next shoot by turning off image stabilization on the lens if the mic's on the camera (and using a monopod to keep flexible yet stable), as the image stabilizer feature makes a subtle noise you only really hear once you sit down with the footage! keep it up though these are awesome
lmfao I had way too much fun watching the beginning where you kept saying look this way now back, now look that way again, what is it? it's this 'blah blah blah' XD
Wow, this was really helpful! Now I don't have to look like a fool in gym. The only problem is now I really want to be on a lacrosse team, but I don't think there are leagues where I live. Darn.
my students are learning lacrosse but the equipments are very expensive here in Uganda. We want to participate in under nineteen lacrosse competition in Canada next year.Where can i get lacrosse equipments cheaply.
Actually it depends on what area and what school you go to. I live in the Northeast (New York, Connecticut, New Jersey) and every town I know makes you buy the stuff yourself. In addition I attend a prep school that makes us buy everything ourselves. However, the situation may be different for public schools, and other regions like the midwest and west.
Thanks you helped me so much learning about lacrosse i have a question though if lets say a player shoots or passes a ball and it accidentilly hits your hand is still a foul
awesome video but a stupid question,so on BOTH teams there's always defensive players AND offensive at the same time, whether the other team has the ball or not?someone please clear this for me.
I have an extreme physical edge on my opponents, they have a moderate skill advantage, will I do well? My teams physical advantage is 10:2 us and our skill is 4:8 them will we be able to win? Its for charity so I want a good game. If not how do I get better? Ps my team has few good players and the rest have never played before
It's illegal to extend your arms when hitting someone..both of those checks would probably be called. Also checks that hit the back wont be called if you are getting close to the stick/making contact.
Explanation of "off sides is incorrect but typical of someone who doesn't officiate. Always count forward...it's no longer 4 on D and/or 3 on O. It is "more than" 7 on D and "more than" 6 on O. Never look back, they're just subbing thru the box.
No, it is correct. Three defenders, three attackers, and three freemen. If any of the defenders or attackers are not in the correct position, it is offsides.
i cant understand a word you say in the beginning
Same
Same
video took 10 seconds to start, it was worth the wait tho
Thanks man! If I knew this video was going to get this many views I would have probably cut the intro!

Kermit sewerslide omg that’s grass.

Great video. My son started playing couple of years ago. I never really got into the rules of the game. This gave me great clarity on the sport

I'm gonna start Lax this summer I hope I can improve and be good.
its my first year and my coach told me to get the basic rules down, and you helped me! thanks! but now i must eat, breath, and sleep lax :)
How old are you now buddy what are you up to these days?
No if a defenseman wants to pass the midfield line you can say middie back and one midfielder needs to stay behind the line for them. Just saying
That's true am im sure he knows about that. Likely just thought that was too advanced for a begginer video that's only 5 minutes long
That intro is legendary
I'm a new lacrosse parent. This was very informative & entertaining - great job!

It is an interesting video.
awesome intro XD
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
This was helpful to me because I’m a starter
In high school, do you have to buy the stick and equipment?
Yes, you have to pay for everything yourself. Schools do not ever (from what I have seen) provide anything. It is not like football.
Señor Bacòn depends
Owen O'Loughlin mine does
Señor Bacòn Usually just your stick, gloves and mouthpieces
Actually it depends on what area and what school you go to. I live in the Northeast (New York, Connecticut, New Jersey) and every town I know makes you buy the stuff yourself. In addition I attend a prep school that makes us buy everything ourselves. However, the situation may be different for public schools, and other regions like the midwest and west.
What stops someone from just running end to end with the ball?
The other team
are you guys in colorado?
I appreciate this.
Glad you do! Hope it was able to help!
thanks alot actually. really helpful to begginers like me :)
Thanks you helped me so much learning about lacrosse i have a question though if lets say a player shoots or passes a ball and it accidentilly hits your hand is still a foul
it shouldnt hit your hand if their both on the stick.. but if it hits your hand while its on the stick you should be fine
Thank you guys!
best intro ever XD
awesome video but a stupid question,so on BOTH teams there's always defensive players AND offensive at the same time, whether the other team has the ball or not?someone please clear this for me.
yoskisaccount yes
I have an extreme physical edge on my opponents, they have a moderate skill advantage, will I do well? My teams physical advantage is 10:2 us and our skill is 4:8 them will we be able to win? Its for charity so I want a good game. If not how do I get better? Ps my team has few good players and the rest have never played before
what are the more in depth rules to hits? like, i see alot of really hard cross checks but the ref did nothing... ? help? btw im completly new
It's illegal to extend your arms when hitting someone..both of those checks would probably be called. Also checks that hit the back wont be called if you are getting close to the stick/making contact.
This was helpful
Glad to heat that man! Hope you enjoy lacrosse!
what players do the face off?
Midfielders. Sometimes there are faceoffs specialists called FOGOS or FaceOff Go Off. This player has one job which is faceoffs
Explanation of "off sides is incorrect but typical of someone who doesn't officiate. Always count forward...it's no longer 4 on D and/or 3 on O. It is "more than" 7 on D and "more than" 6 on O. Never look back, they're just subbing thru the box.

I am starting this year
That's the delWebb field
Thing that this was 9 years ago I bet those kids are like 29 now
Kicking the ball should also be in the video!
You just have 500 subs
me watching this for school 💀
Is this Del Webb middle school?
yep
It is!
It's called a illegal procedure I've never heard of false start in lacrosse
This guys is such a loud breather
My gym teacher assigned this
Look how long this one guys stick is
Bingi Dong it’s called a longstick lol
can some one can tell me the rules please
but now
IS THAT DELL WEBB?
@blackburnr0615 True dat
cant u just say midi back cause thats what i do to cross the field and i play attack
Yeah so it's basically like football or basketball.
bruv what you sound like ur having a seizure i gotta watch this for gym class
Holy Crap I went to Del Webb lol
i know one guy who hasn't been in and out.
Is this outdated?
yes without the ball
this is wrong. Just because you have 2 guys on the offensive side of the field doesn't mean your off. what if that guy is subing
No, it is correct. Three defenders, three attackers, and three freemen. If any of the defenders or attackers are not in the correct position, it is offsides.
There was a ginger playing
Anyone 2021
that field is literally dirt
3:59 you just got hit by a guy wearing spandex.
I'm sitting on grass.
you should watch an actual game, MLL game
Lacrosse field in Iraq
there are 11 people 9 players 2 golies
That makes no sense. There are 10 players
MIDFEILDERS RULE
Wth was that intro for?
What did I watch
Are you kiding me
