We bought a front and back samasz mower combination and have them on a New Holland T7030 and I usually mow at about 10.5 kilometres and I think it’s fast enough .
Fido is a very respectable looking guy Good luck with the Ploughing will miss you this year and the Tractor run Darn hope the weather is better than last year G Luk from Western Australia ☘️☘️☘️
What do you think about bales versus pit?? For me bales are slightly more expensive but a lot easier to make with the weather, bale it nice and dry with a good wilt, way more flexible
I think in small amounts or land far away bales are handier but a pit if you're doing a big cut and it's nearby. saying that though most harvesters and trailers are running far too fast now and making sh!te in the pit not silage
How does harvesting it faster produce worse quality forgive my ignorance I'm not a farmer, does the harvester not just collect whatever is on the ground
@@martymartin2894 just rushing basically and only half done. For example if it takes 10hrs to do x acres but they upgrade the harvester and it can do it in 5, man on the pit is doing the work in half the time when in reality he can't. He can barely keep up and it isn't compacted and doesn't make good silage. smaller than ideal farmyards and pits so you're limited on what machines can be used there also doesn't help
Thort the bales would b better option so you can get good silage thru the whole pit. On a diff subject check out a Aussie band called Busby Marou they a country group
love the video's phil what weather app do you use man just wondering and the Silage this year tonnage wise hasn't been the greatest cause not much growth but sure its all about quality not quantity
Enjoy the ploughing Phil & Liv

100% contractors only interested in acres not quality

Any update on red clover 2nd & 3rd cut yield
You can forgive farm theory "Andrew" for filling to the right side bcoz of the trailed harvester but Father Phil can fill a trailer!
