GTX660 and i5 3570 iirc here, still getting more than 100 frames on nuke on lowest settings and 800x600. 75 hz display. It still feels more responsive than CSGO on the same settings. Biggest issue I feel right now is bumping into teammates in spawn actually throws you back significantly. The buymenu could be a toggle option, I dont like the new one. Another thing is flicks work very different, I guess we all got used to them by now & adjusting to new flicks will take time. Not really a bad thing, just relearning the basics is a neccessity if they dont change it. The game looks better on lowest settings than CSGO on the same res with high details imho. Only throwing nades seems to have somewhat of a delay to me. The movement is sort of more slidey, but not slower. It may feel like youre moving a little heavier but its because mouse input is much more responsive. For a beta, I think its already in great shape, but again, the gameplay will get even more tactical with these changes to networking. Just got to get used to it. Sounds need some/a lot of improvement though. It reminds me of classic Insurgency to some extent (audio engine), but the wavs themselves need adjustment as well imho, especially footsteps. There is too much echo and too little direct acoustic penetration through walls. Cheers
It seems that there's no more a separate texture filtering setting and it is instead directly tied to model/texture quality so if you don't wanna look at a blurred gun barrel and a bunch of visible rendering waves in front of you as you move I recommend turning it to High. There is no noticeable performance difference from what I can tell.
For global shadows, on high, it shows movement of objects that do not matter in a competitive setting as far as i can see (trees, birds, etc.) On low, you still see player shadows move accordingly and with no real difference between low and high (with player models.) So you can save a few frames by setting it low.
The Nvidia Reflex setting has been recommended to disable ingame and setting low latency to ON in NVCP. A BIG chunk of players get a lot more input lag when having Reflex enabled.
My game stutter like crazy in deathmatch. Like it is not playable at all. I have like around 150 fps, but every time I see somebody it stutter. But in premier I have stable fps except for warm up.
@@nemplayer1776 that had no effect. They propably have some serious optimalization problem with other players. Because I have over 200 fps when i am alone on map. But I guess thats why they open it to optimize it

i believe that before, player cast shadows were dependent on the quality of shadows in the settings but now i believe it is independant. i have it on low and still see player shadows
You see the player shadows on any setting, however you only see player shadows cast by light sources (like the vending machines on Nuke) when you have Global Shadow Quality on High
Got ryzen 7 3700X and 6800XT red devil, and i have around 2-300 fps on 5vs5. The main issue is the fact that the game stutters, it doesn't feel smooth and i have random fps drop. I have a 240 hz monitor, my res in-game now is 16:9, 1280x1024, i've tried all the possible resolutions, i've tried with vsyn ON, i've disabled MSAA (because when i had MSAA on it was simply unplayable). I think that simply the game is not properly optimised imo.
So i've noticed that cs2 will not allow me to properly play the game with gsync enabled. Has anyone else caught onto this as well? My monitor is 280hz. Basically what happens when I have gsync on in cs2 is that when i pull up the menu on my monitor where it displays the current hz, the hz will flicker and keep changing very rapidly while playing, it will go down from 280 to 240 back up to 280 then down to 220 to 175 back up to 280 etc. It won't stay at 280 and just lock there as it's supposed to do. On CSGO or any other games it works perfect with gsync enabled and the monitor hz locks at 280 with no issue and none of the rapid hz changing occurs at all. Is this a known issue currently? Or does anyone know if cs2 just currently has a bug with gsync or something that hasnt been addressed yet? Haven't found any thread or anyone mentioning this at all.

I have your exact same graphics card, just a different processor and 16GB ram, and i have the same issue. I used to play at 200 ~~ 280 on CS:GO and now, on CS2, i run the game from 80 ~~ 100 as well.
It is normal at the beginning, they stil need to optimize Cs2 for every Pc configuration out there. Valve did a perfect job with optimizing CS:GO for a high amount of Pc configurations. That's why you could run CS:GO on a toaster. Think about Cyberpunk, at the beginning it wasn't even Optimized for High end PC with RTX Graphic Cards. Now you can play it on low end pc's at low settings. A Nvidia Gtx 1060 can run it on low settings and it's playable. So Valve Stil needs to do that for CS2. I suggest giving Cs2 a couple more months , so they can adjust and optimize the game to the large amount of Pc configurations they had on CS:GO. Stay positive bro
you always want color vibrance, we don't use it because you don't like the colors of the game, you use it to make enemies easier to spot, for me I don't really need it, but it helps me to kind of tunnel vision on the game, I don't know, I do agree with you though, the game colors now look MUCH better

FOR CS2 SKIP THE CHRIS TITUS TWEAKER. This will not allow CS2 to run on windows 11. If you already did it, run the tweaker again, click desktop or any other settings you chose, and select undo selected tweaks.
i really got a big fps boost in cs2. i went to practice and got lear and smooth 200 fps with good quality but as soon i went to deathmatch then i got 30-50 fps. So i can say that with other players it doesn't change much or is there any setting that could fix that?

shadow quality doesnt matter here as much as in :Go, bcs there if u set it on low u wouldnt see the shadows as far, u can see them here, their just more pixelated. i dont see any diference on HDR, shader detail doesnt nad ambient occlusion, so i have them on low.

I'm baffled by this game because i get 80fps in competitive matches amd 300+ fps in practise dm or competitive. Whenever I load competitive game or dm on server, in a new match i get the same Fps i would on csgo, 150-200, but after 15 or 20 seconds it goes 80fps. I just can't understand the issue here, is it my laptop or is it this game?

GTX1070 ti is much faster. That's your graphics card. The other option is your processor, which does have an integrated GPU into it, but it's very slow and not meant for gaming (the integrated graphics is slow. Not the processor).
Are these suggestions apply for laptop users as well especially the nvidia control panel. I am getting 100 fps at max settings with my RTX 3080 16GB Laptop.

you say high shadows is a comp advantage vs low. But from what I've seen the same shadows are cast, you are just adjusting the resolution, therefore you can play on low with a chunk of extra frames and no competitive advantage.
True. And the high settings only add dynamic shadows of the environmental objects like tree branches. Yeah, the player shadow looks choppy on low settings but u can easily see the shadows and gives a huge frame boost.
Your launch options are messed up. Why d3d9ex? CS2 doesnt run on directx 9. -High is never good. -Threads again is not good. Only need 1 of -freq or -refresh. -novid is fine although it doesnt work as intended. Rest are garbage.

Don't use these launch options with the game officially released, you will have absurd input lag and it will feel like you are shooting candy at your opponents.
Actually all worked fine, but after cs2 I wanted to play another game and after I launched it I discovered that after that guide only 1 game was playing like it was speeded up with X2 speed. Before touching smth I tested other games with the same settings but I haven't found similar problem. So I started to set all this to default and only after I applyed NVIDIA control panel setting to default the issue has been fixed (I think). Question: What is happened that it has turned that game to X2 gameplay speed? in many games like skyrim fallout zelda etc time is connected to fps so you highly likely tweaked smth and boosted fps in that game which was originally capped at 60

I have no idea how to describe what I am seeing without a picture, but I cannot see a single solid thing in the game when I load it up, or play a match. I can barely see players, the walls and floors are see through, and it is very laggy. Plus, the pixels start to deform and stretch all over the screen, making it even harder to see what is happening. I have tried everything in the video settings tab to no avail, and i have no idea how to fix it. I cant find anything about it anywhere too so I am afraid i cannot play CS2

No use msaa filtering. That fixed the blurry lines, and sharp lines

I had the same issue, fps_max 90 in the console largely fixed it for me. You can probably set it to fps_max 120 or something.

was that online deathmatch or with bots? bots consume your cpu power and will lower frames.

I legit have 1fps in the main and pause menu. But the gameplay is butter smooth, also takes MINUTES to load into game. Any fix? Please help

for me FSR is the worst, in other games it's ok but here i got less fps in performance than in disable (i followed your tuto) and i have a laptop.

If ur cpu is already pinned, enabling fsr is going to stress it even more so less fps.

I'm baffled by this game because i get 80fps in competitive matches amd 300+ fps in practise dm or competitive. Whenever I load competitive game or dm on server, in a new match i get the same Fps i would on csgo, 150-200, but after 15 or 20 seconds it goes 80fps. I just can't understand the issue here, is it my laptop or is it this game?

Make sure on the first video tab, refresh rate is set to the highest. In my case it defaulted to 60 Hz, and made the game feel supper choppy

GTX1070 ti is much faster. That's your graphics card. The other option is your processor, which does have an integrated GPU into it, but it's very slow and not meant for gaming (the integrated graphics is slow. Not the processor).

I followed this tutorial and suddenly when I open cs2 i only see a black screen, no sound and my cursor and the steam overlay message all look stretched and the black screen stretched to a part of my other monitor. i dont know what I did wrong I reset everything mentioned in the video except the game's setting cause obv it wouldnt start and it still doesnt work
you say high shadows is a comp advantage vs low. But from what I've seen the same shadows are cast, you are just adjusting the resolution, therefore you can play on low with a chunk of extra frames and no competitive advantage.
True. And the high settings only add dynamic shadows of the environmental objects like tree branches. Yeah, the player shadow looks choppy on low settings but u can easily see the shadows and gives a huge frame boost.

Your launch options are messed up. Why d3d9ex? CS2 doesnt run on directx 9. -High is never good. -Threads again is not good. Only need 1 of -freq or -refresh. -novid is fine although it doesnt work as intended. Rest are garbage.
if i want to re-enable my location services how do i do it? the tweaker has completely blocked my location services. Is there anyway i can completely delete all the changes the tweaker made??

for me launch options set in steam libraty for csgo does not seems to work for cs2 :/
you can choose to apply them to cs2, above whhere the launch options are where it says "ask when starting game" choose the cs2 limited test and the launch options will then be about that
the only problem i have in cs2 right now is an ms lag problem my fps is fine and my video settings are near urs but i still have a very bad ms i keep getting 400+ms in cs2 but if i log into any other game i get 70 ms idk what to do

I have a 2080 super and I7-9700k and can barely get 130 frames in 1440p with custom setting… Was able to average 250 in csgo. Don't know if it's just the beta or if the time has come to upgrade this baby.
Don't use these launch options with the game officially released, you will have absurd input lag and it will feel like you are shooting candy at your opponents.

Actually all worked fine, but after cs2 I wanted to play another game and after I launched it I discovered that after that guide only 1 game was playing like it was speeded up with X2 speed. Before touching smth I tested other games with the same settings but I haven't found similar problem. So I started to set all this to default and only after I applyed NVIDIA control panel setting to default the issue has been fixed (I think).
Question: What is happened that it has turned that game to X2 gameplay speed?

in many games like skyrim fallout zelda etc time is connected to fps so you highly likely tweaked smth and boosted fps in that game which was originally capped at 60

usually vsync and frames are related to physics in some games! So turning on vsync and putting your games back to cap fps should fix your issue!

i have an i5-8250U CPU with a 8gb RAM, laptop. But still moves kinda bad even on low settings... its there any updates i can make so i can play cs 2 decently ?. P.S: CSGO works fine on medium settings tho
Im fckin done same shi as with csgo, unplayable game if you don't sit and change your settings for 2 hours, I've tried everything and still feels like something is off, clunky, feels like low latency, fps or refresh rate idk how to explain, even tho I have high end pc, Im sick and tired

I have no idea how to describe what I am seeing without a picture, but I cannot see a single solid thing in the game when I load it up, or play a match. I can barely see players, the walls and floors are see through, and it is very laggy. Plus, the pixels start to deform and stretch all over the screen, making it even harder to see what is happening. I have tried everything in the video settings tab to no avail, and i have no idea how to fix it. I cant find anything about it anywhere too so I am afraid i cannot play CS2
