Great video! Very helpful. It's interesting to hear you say that you haven't seen many. In Dominion, I haven't seen the 4 on 4 Hitokiri gank squads of the first few days, but almost every match I've been in since Monday has had at least one. I like having one in the game, it changes situational awareness in group fights.
There are also some mix ups to this, you can feint the kick into guard break and you can get a free heavy then you can play with your opponent with mind games by either kicking, charging your kick but not into sweep, or kick into guard break.
EFB has said that he'll be maining Hitokiri as well as Shinobi, so if you want some live gameplay, I suggest checking him out. He's not posted much, but what he has is pretty nice.
I think her lack of people flocking to her is due to her kit design. It's basically a counter attacker (which we know is a design that doesn't work,) but tried to be able to be offensive. She needs some small adjustments for sure. But the two big things that I think would make her kit feel a lot better and more interesting is if her kick had the range to hit back dodges and her zone was a chain starter. Her lack of an overall gimmick also harms the interest of other players. If you think about it black prior is pretty basic. But it's how his kit that works together along side his gimmick of bullwark counter that makes him interesting. I'm personally fine with no gimmick. I just wish her kit felt a bit better.
Would you ever consider doing videos on defense against certain characters? Similar to this series, but for instance how to avoid Hitokiri's kick (I've heard its back dodge + roll if it turns into sweep.) It's really hard to find info on how to defend against characters and I see a lot of people falling for easily avoidable stuff
On side/back throw u can try heavy followed by a kick, then heavy. The animation looks bugged but the kick still hits even if it looks like it was dodges

I think Hito is fun just a little underpowered. I recommend either being able to fient the kick somehow or just speed it up making the 50/50 more effective. Also recommend a soft fient into guardbreak with her heavies for a little extra mix up potential. Her startup lights aren't terrible but not great either but her damage is so high I'm not really against her not having a good opener.
Can you go an update to black priors bash recovery? I tried testing punishes with a bot but everyone knows bots aren’t the most reliable for testing and also there was this weird thing with guard direction that i couldn’t figure out
Hitokiri's are the least of your worries, in dominion i always use Hitokiri and i fight against other Hitokiri's, believe me the Hito's are easy, its the Raider's you gotta watch out for.
I've only tried this on lvl 3 bots in practice, but I think you could get a heavy off a heavy parry. It doesn't work sometimes, but it works more than it doesn't. Basically when you get a side heavy parry you throw a top heavy. Parry a top heavy throw out a side heavy. Can you look into this with a real person to confirm this? Pretty please!? And sorry for people who find her annoying already 🤷
Is it possible to parry deflects if the deflect was on a teammate? I know you can parry crushing counters and superior block attacks off of external enemies/teammates. But is this possible for deflects as well?

Not necessarily. It's hard to explain, but it seems to have a specific dodge window that the opponent can use to avoid the kick. If you set a lvl 3 bot to dodge only in the training arena it seems to be guaranteed, and I believe it's because they try to dodge at the earliest possible time which gets them caught. It definitely works a lot of the time, but I've had people avoid the kick on wakeup. I feel like it's a toss up, as I doubt a lot of players actually *know* the timing to dodge it, it just sort of happens.

Hitokiri The rest are just garbage; 1. Aramusha 2. Nobushi 3. Lightrochi 4. Gaynobi PS. The new hero is QUITE STRONG.

@@fkkfreeze well i am really just forwardthrowing them - they fall -> light, heavy, kick, heavy - boom 78 dmg (nothing charged at all) it has worked evertime i did it so far i do admit however, that i sometimes get the inputs wrong (even though i could swear i did light into heavy) and sometimes just get light+light (zero_craig tried this punish in his stream and it seemed to have worked erverytime for him aswell)

SwiggitySwooty it can be dodged on back dodge. You can double heavy into a kick on side dodge. Assassins can dodge the kick with a side dodge to their left but will be hit by the kick after two heavies if they dodge to their right. You can also use that kick for mind games after the 2 heavies a sweep will catch the back dodge if they're still OOS and unable to roll you can also delay the kick on assassins to catch them if they dodge to their left. It's all pretty janky but extra dmg if you pull it off
That's because shes just simply put a bad character. Sure she has hyper armor on 2 moves and can charge her heavy but other than that, her kick mixup is completely reactable and there's no reason to play her at all. Orochi has a better kit then her For fuck sake. Why does Black Prior get a shield bash that is less reactable and cant be punished? Why does Lawbringer get a shove that cant be punished? Why does Highlander get a kick/grab mixup that works and that guarantees 40 dmg, and Hitokiri doesn't even get a proper 50/50 that would guarantee 30 dmg.
First of all, both vortigers and lawbringers shoves are hilariously slow and only guarantee a light. Sakura's kick is feintable and also guarantees a 30 damage heavy. It is a 50/50 the same way wardens shoulder bash is.

Second of all sakuras kick mix up is so laughably reactable, the only thing u have to do is look at her foot and when it extends you dodge. Done sakura sucks and vortiger and lb are unpunishable.

Well one has a shit ton of momentum and the other is her sorta gliding it on the enemy. Only the unblockables have any real momentum.
Cause hers are faster and have an infinite chain on top of having good delay on the timings and even going into unblockables.

From what I see, raider can, kenseis can, shaman can, conquerer can, and Warden can but only if you change up the bash timings

only the highest reduction is applied, all lower ones are ignored.

Ive managed to do light->heavy->kick->heavy on a OOS target. Dont know if this is confirmed but so far no one has been able to punish me with it.
