just take the water hose and let someone just hold it on top of sunroof while you be inside of a car and look if there is a leak from sunroof that is what happen to mine the rubber of sunroof was not seal good and cause the leak I notice that when was driving while it was raining hard it was a small leak good luck

That was the original insulation. A part of it fell off and i couldn't open the sun shade, i can't remember if the sunroof would open.
I meant why you did not leave it as it was, do we really need to install another insulator?

You need to remove the sun roof and take the whole roof panel out to do it right way and it look like your sunroof is or has a leak
That was my plan in the beginning, but the amount of work to benefit ratio changed my decision.
So how do you determine that the sunroof has a leak ?
