I disagree with the diabellze assessment. It’s a really interesting card that has the potential to be a meta staple. If a format is dominated by the sinful spoils engine, then diabellze becomes a really strong option in sinful spoils decks since it can act as a generic extender, or shut down the opponent’s wanted. It also is a pseudo spell negate since it’s 3rd effect can trigger before your opponent has the chance to activate their spell. This leads to some interesting scenarios where it becomes a mind game of whether your opponent set the important spell first or if they’re trying to bait the pop. However, if you’re playing against a deck with a strong field spell you can always hold the diabellze pop for that field spell. Diabellze also helps insulate your board from several strong board breakers like droplet, imperm, evenly, econ, etc. Finally, the pop also allows you to trigger your own fire king cards. The only question is whether the card is worth it over something like anti-spell. But the fact that you can also trigger the pop means it has going 2nd applications that anti-spell doesn’t.
I'm already using diabellstarr as an extender on kashtira (on MD) but i didnt have any great card to set with her. Setting this as an end board piece makes Arise-heart only outable by monster effects on the first turn, which is really funny.

Equation System Cannon is a card I'd consider as a funny wincon in decks that don't use the extra or that are mixed Fusion/XYZ decks. Maybe as a side or something.
The thing is, it’s inherently nerfed by the size of the ED since you have to have double of the same level/rank, so you can only run 7 iterations of the equation and only if the numbers line up.
@@MakinWAVs Actually, you only need to run double of the same rank, the requirement is to banish 2 xyz and 1 fusion, so you technically can just run 3-4 low-rank monsters and fill the rest of the ED with fusions that have increasingly more levels. Plus, it's not like you'd want to activate this card at every opportunity, so you only need to prepare for certain situations against common monster levels in the meta. All you need to banish your opponent's entire board is to line up your levels with exactly one monster on their field anyways. This card also recycles 2 out of the 3 ED monsters you need to banish, so i can totally imagine sth like a Runick Spright deck sacking your field by losing an extra copy of Gigantic
The battle destruction thing that illusion monsters have shouldn't even be written on the cards, they should've made it an intrinsic property of all illusion monsters, similar to how pendulums go to the ED when they're destroyed on field
The trap doesn't prevent continuous effects. So once you put the illusion on board, you just anti spelled your opponent. Also you do this during the draw phase/standby gets around not being to activate during the main phase.
Yeah that is a thing. But besides evenly or maybe super poly, it isn't that great. Of course Runick. But the BIGGER point is hit even normal spells and pop them. But every deck is runick or has Book or Enemy Controller. Not many play Evenly now. So it's CRAZY against certain decks but for most matchups, the trap makes it lose the point of making them set cards. Play denko sekka or Dark Simorgh in combo with
it's not anti spell when your opponent can just set any non QP and still use them. Not having the pop defeats the purpose of the card barring certain matchups like Runic and Purrely. Card is toxic in principle given the right circumstances but everything comments+ chat has mentioned are cope.
@@Avermra exactly. Great floodgate if set up right, but then they can just set and use the cards next turn. @@Avermra Anti spell doesn't stop Super Poly/Droplet (major no-response outs to multi negate boards) and Imperm that feels great even as a top deck. If a consistent way to utilize this with cards like Denko/Dark Simorgh is found, this can turn out very toxic very quickly.

the reason why the illusion effect isn't always at the beginning is obviously because tcg konami is awful at designing cards. there is no other explanation how we otherwise wouldn't have the ocg style instead otherwise
There's someone at konami that really hates pendulum as an archetype. Like, the number of cards they're printing that literally shutdown the deck keeps increasing. Kashtira literally can pull out a guy and shut your main way of playing the game. Anti-spell still in the game. Now this. F-ing rtrds at Konami think this is good card design.
there is a world where those are justified just give us more cards that place pendulum scales(not activate them) make an archetype or pack filler that deals with locked zone (make it say "must be used in a locked zone " if you have to)
Yugioh Booster are useless because Konami CARES with making cards completely worthless. Then they complain retailers are stopping work with their products. But their collections is like 1 chase card and 39473847372 worthless pack filler. For no good reson. If something it makes YuGiOh the only game where cards are absolutely unplayable. No other card game is like that.
You hit the nail on the head with what you said about the Branded situation. Konami gave it way too much support and we face that exactly now in MD where it recently became Tier 0 post banlist since D-Link was the only deck to keep Branded Despia at bay alongside with VS but VS is totally unplayable rn with SHS and Droll everywhere. Im really sick of seeing Branded anywhere in MD. And as much as i love our new anti hero, im afraid that Diabellestar becomes Branded 2.0, shes already good enough with the little support she got. But again, lets face it people. Branded Despia is almost as strong as Ishizu Tear in MD now and that is not a great sign and there must be a quick reaction by Konami before even more people quit the game for good.
Chill bro, it's not that big a deal. Why always so angry? Lol. "Meta" players, am I right? Was I like this when I used to play competitive video games seriously? I don't even remember.
Josh normally is on point but today he is totally off base on his readings of cards. Yubel cards are really strong, super strong combo deck now with the new cards, tons of resources. This card also recycles 2 out of the 3 ED monsters you need to banish, so i can totally imagine sth like a Runick Spright deck sacking your field by losing an extra copy of Gigantic
counter runick with it?
The quick play stuff like Super Poly or Runick can just be flipped on the opponents turn anyway. You HAVE to deal with the set normal/field spells asap!
Pop a Prosperity or Fire king stuff before it can be used is CRAZY.
3 MST, 3 Cosmic cyclone, 3 heavy storm duster, 3 twin twister in every deck lol
Make a meta call with Waking the dragons and the random abyss actor draw card 😂
I think there's a new sinful spoil that banishes 2 if popped.
@@babrad depending on ratios i think chimera could summon turn 1 if they needed there are 2 illusion monster reborns, (berfomet and tao) you could run 3 diabellez fuse it off and then reborn it with either of them. Gazelle searches illusions so getting the one you need into hand wouldnt be hard. The issue id see is if you get hand traped you have less than nothing.
I’d use Sinful Spoils Cycle in Chimera Illusion cuz it searches/specials Berfomet on the opponent’s turn.
the new illusion is broken and breaks the whole point if illusion monsters. COOOOOOOL
Diabellz can be cheated in chimera deck easly just by having a mono in your deck
I’ll just set it in Masterduel and wait for it to glow.
Witch girl hard counters Runick and Pend degeneracy. Not gonna complain about that
Don’t that field spell let you had phantom of chaos to hand 😮💨😮💨
wouldn't it be a good thing if the sinful spoil cards ended up as generic good cards (I mean like ash, imperm, evenly...) but searcheable? I think it's cool but I don't know if it wouldn't be strange/too powerful
Runick be like: You just described me
Yeah and no at the same time since there is a huge restriction on them. It is more if an engine that compose a deck rather than staples
so, is illusion the only type with no normal monsters or psychic did it first
They already have a normal monster
And so does Psychic, PSY-Frame Driver.
@@Oddf0xthanks for ruining my mood jk (the thanks are sincere though)
I think i disagree with joshs opinion on the new diabellstar card, specifically in decks the already run the engine like fire king, one of it and the trap card is imo a great addition, as the trap is a good alternate if you hard drew the normal spell or the ponix already imo
An inclusion could be okay. To fight the mirror match. But besides that it could be a side deck card, until you run into the deck its good against
^ This, it's just an additional option if you already open the spell or ponix, and a REALLY nice one that that.
@@PendBestDeck151 i think it depends on how the upcoming meta developes. But in a format where at least 60-70% of top cut will probably include diabellstar it is likely a good main deck option, and definetally at least a side deck staple in decks that include the black witch
The new witch completely shuts off runic and pendulum decks. It also shuts off impermanence and evenly matched
the problem is you're going through them instead of the snake eye line that's much better. The exception is gonna potentially be as sideboard tech, or MAYBE some sinful spoils chimera varient
@@relloz6 or if you just build a deck around her. But I do think she is best as a one of tech card to potentially shut down those cards when You Face them
It's also only able to be searched off of the trap. Which at that point, it really doesn't matter.
@@Rhapsodyizz not everything in the game has to be searchable to be good. If you're running it as a tech card to deal with certain decks it's no different than running something like Nibiru or an unsearchable hand trap. It's a Floodgate that specifically deals with the specific meta since the snake eye engine is so common and Decks that rely heavily on spells like runic so what's a good one of in any deck in the current format especially if your deck runs the snake eye engine itself
@Cwronaga216 if you want to kill these decks that Diabellze kills, you can also just maindeck the counters to them, would you rather play the trap and Diabellze and possibly get ashed on its summon, or would you rather just play a card like magical jammer or anti-spell?
Pure Snake Eyes is underwhelming as fuck
I have seen people who actually think it is better than the firek King one.
the reason why the illusion effect isn't always at the beginning is obviously because tcg konami is awful at designing cards. there is no other explanation how we otherwise wouldn't have the ocg style instead otherwise
A random 1x in Branded? My friend, that is the entire deck you are talking about here ;)
There's someone at konami that really hates pendulum as an archetype. Like, the number of cards they're printing that literally shutdown the deck keeps increasing. Kashtira literally can pull out a guy and shut your main way of playing the game. Anti-spell still in the game. Now this. F-ing rtrds at Konami think this is good card design.
there is a world where those are justified
just give us more cards that place pendulum scales(not activate them)
make an archetype or pack filler that deals with locked zone (make it say "must be used in a locked zone " if you have to)
I think pepe had a trap card that does that, but it's a trap card. Also, PEPE still not nearly as good as it once was.
Infernity mirage its a 0/0 fiend
Yugioh Booster are useless because Konami CARES with making cards completely worthless. Then they complain retailers are stopping work with their products. But their collections is like 1 chase card and 39473847372 worthless pack filler. For no good reson. If something it makes YuGiOh the only game where cards are absolutely unplayable. No other card game is like that.
These new cards look like they were generated by bad AI
How dare you call equation cannon pack filler!
Doesn’t it literally go -2 or 3 to put banished monster or two back in your extra deck. It’s not exactly a good effect.
it banishes your opponents entire field. its a +5@@Unknown-qj9sm

So umm, still waiting on good cards in LEDE. Pack continues to be the Lightning Overdrive successor.
Bro that's just how we germans sound like, LEB DAMIT
Josh normally is on point but today he is totally off base on his readings of cards.
Yubel cards are really strong, super strong combo deck now with the new cards, tons of resources.
The new Illusion level 10 guy can be summoned for free, banished for basically free and end up being 3 materials by itself.
Diabellze is summonable at the end of the fire king combos super easy but also opens up new combos in the existing Illusion Branded pile stuff and Lab. I think it's the Runnick player cope not wanting this card to see play.
Good luck winning your next YCS with those cards.
Diabellze is also unsearchable at the moment outside of the trap, Diabellze, in your description, is literally the definition of a "win more" card.
@@JuanGonzalezZzZzZz... so if you win a YCS you get to be always correct? I guess the Pope is also a YGO player.
@leakyrobot7292
Actually also searchable from the chimera engine in like 2 ways. Fusioned the dude can search a illusion or thier fusion can send one to grave. And special summon it ops turns
@@JuanGonzalezZzZzZz...you can play 6 card engine to just to summon her on your opponent turn alongside your end board with any deck.
