Meanwhile, Yubel Fire King is pretty fun with what testing i've done so far.
I'm sure its not competitive, but its really fun for casual play and Spirit of Yubel gives the deck a lot of defensive play.

Volcanic Snake Eye is the guuu, We finally can drop Horus package and just play like 15 1 card starters. Pretty consistent and plays 4 bricks total in 40. Not the most competitive but Ive beaten a few Fire king and Race players in PHNI format.
Hey josh I was wondering if you have any plans on doing a runick guide since it's not that easy to pilot because of the multiple decisions u need to take throughout a game and Id love if u could share ur knowledge about it, specially when it comes to breaking boards with runick

I know it's not a black witch and her poster, but I've been looking at Infernoble Flame Swordsman as a fun fire deck (probably about as competitive as a chocolate teapot)
The chocolate teapot could at least ruin your opponent's cards.
Honestly I hate the fact that almost every legacy support card is printed so good and non restrictive that it can just be an engine, we’re approaching a pile format just like we’re in right now in master duel
In regards to there being another format with as much "deck overlap" as this upcoming format, I think the only other format that comes to mind (that isn't a Tier 0 format like the D.A.D ones obviously) is maybe 2016 Monarch format? Considering the amount of Monarch and BA variants there were around the time looking back on it, hell Monarch/BA was a deck then too.

So the sacred Phoenix thing, it destroys your own backrow as well. So your sanctuary would need to keep your fire king island up so it doesn't nuke your board too. Which isn't the end of the world but it's just something to consider

So is the logic behind Droplet that you sack Ponix for cost after grabbing it out of the GY in the standby phase?
I mean, getting to Ponix is kind of a foregone conclusion in this deck, so it makes sense. He's running, like, 12 different cards that'll get it out of the deck. Therefore, the cost of Droplet is free in this context so long as you just need to negate 1 monster on the field, and obviously you'd want to side it going first.

@Joshua just play infernoble if you want a good non mainstream Fire Deck with wanted. It's actually insanely good still. Since the ban it def lost power but it's still insanely consistent and it's an actual fire warrior deck now not just connector -dolphin-isolde turbo (I did love it once like when infernoble first came out,but it was time to go) but the engine is really powerful and can play through handtraps and boards while having a great going first game too. Siding snatch steal is absolutely insane literally wins games alone with Renaud recurring it

16:58 I totally agree on that. The only 25th & collector's rares I have aren't even staples but are specific pieces of my selective collection. Furthermore, I might be the only one here, but drawing cards too shiny cards distracts me.
