@@strictlydumpling 8:24 Spring Shabu Shabu is not a hotpot restaurant. It's shabu shabu, as the name indicates. Shabu shabu and hotpot are different, with the former having broth that is light and not overpowering.

Imma be 100% honest. When he mentioned Flushing, I legit freaked out. EVERY SATURDAY, I GO TO FLUSHING AND STUFF MY FACE IN. SEEING MIKE IN FLUSHING MAKES ME SO HAPPY. MIKE! IF YOU ARE SEEING THIS, TRY THE RESTAURANT CALLED RED BOWL NEAR THE 3RD LOCATION YOU MENTIONED! ITS PRETTY GOOD, ALSO, TRY THE ASIAN BBQ CALLED GYU KAKU.

Christine Lee I'm a little late to the video, but you don't have to bring a cake if it's your actual birthday. That's how it works for hometown and 99. If you go three days before or after your birthday, you need to bring a cake.

You're my hot pot guide, so I was glad you went to Spring Shabu Shabu, since I've been recently going to their Boston location. If you ever see them serve the duck dumplings, they are a must have. Also, the pumpkin noodles are amazing. The spicy dashi is good, but the spicy pork bone is better. I made a sauce heavy on the pineapple, and thought it was amazing
For 99's broths (especially the pork bone broth), it tastes so much better if you drink them at the end because all of the flavors from the meat and vegetables simmering from the beginning is just heaven! Whenever my friend gets the tomato broth, she actually adds more ketchup and salt in the beginning. I highly recommend the squid and fried tofu thingie (like a sheet of paper) for hot pot. These 2 are my absolute favorite from this place!

Hey Mike, just wanted to say that what I appreciate about your videos is that if you don't like something, you are honest and let us know why you don't care for it. I feel so many of the other people who make similar videos don't really want to say that they don't like something but you can tell by their reaction that they really don't care for it. Keep up the good work! Oh, I left a post on another video about coming down to Los Angeles sometime to do some reviews of some all-you-can eat Korean BBQ in K-town! I need to try some new spots!

Hi Mike! I went to Little Lamb in Manhattan and you were right.. the broth was amazing!! I would've liked more meat but I got the limited lunch special. Maybe I'll try the 99 flavor next. Thanks for the review it was really helpful in choosing a good place.

While my wife was living in NYC before she moved to Canada, we'd always frequent Spring Shabu Shabu. It is our favorite place just because of the buffet selection is awesome. I'd go up two or three times to grab more sausage, noodles, or the cheese tofu.

Hey Mike! Thanks for your recommendation. We have tried out (99 flavors) and it was great. Service was amazing from the waiters/waitresses that served us at our table. But what I found out about this place was when you tip the Waiter/Waitress, tip them with cash because the restaurant itself takes more of the money and the waiter gets close to nothing from the tip. Found this out because I had no cash on me so I told them to charge me ($20) extra on my bill and give me the ($20) cash to give to the waiter. They told me if I tip the waiter I have to tip the restaurant (%15)💩. What the hell. Next time I know now to always walk with cash for tips and pay the bill with card. Lol
Otherwise to that I feel the experience was a great experience and I will definitely go back again After trying out all other recommendation from you

I would be forever thankful if you could do a future vid either making it or buying it (with names and pictures etc) of a lotof those sauces! I would like to have them at home, but I have no idea what I'm looking for (recipe wise or bottle wise). Like Chive sauce! I've never even had it before, so I have no idea if the recipes i'm finding are real (especially when the entire sauce is called chive, and each recipe only has like a tbsp worth??)
Absolutely love this new series. Please keep them coming Mike. Can I suggest to also do this for other types of restaurants, such as buffets and stuff. Also, correct me if I'm wrong but "conch" is pronounced "conk" with a K, you don't pronounce the CH.
