I’m glad I found your channel. So far I’m trying to create a one shot. It’s still in the plot phase. You’re video are really helpful and calming while not being boring
@@DJAX-THE-ONE I hope I can at-least get it done by the end of this year or the beginning of next year. If I can stop myself from rewriting everything. Also the art may not be great since I’m still a beginner. But thanks for the support
This video is like saying the sky is blue and the grass is green. No actual technical advice, but some pretty quotes and obvious tips, like "define you character's personality first before designing them" oh my gosh, I'd never thought of that! 🙄
Sure, if this is too easy for you, then we invite you to book a FREE consultation call with us and apply to our Manga Drawing Program. If we see that we can help and want to work with you, then you’ll get to work directly with PRO Japanese mangakas. They will mentor you to produce your first oneshot manga in our program. The trick I did in making OCs is basing them from the people around me (freinds, classmates, siblings). Its kinda awkward at first because there are times that there are 2 or group of characters that gets along with another but the characters I based them on in real life don't even know each other. I kinda grew out of it later on.
Congrats on over 11k subs, well deserved! You started your channel almost the same time I decided to really give drawing a chance and so it's nice to see that your channel starts to get the recognition it deserves while I can see myself slowly improving as well! I'll keep on rooting for you :)
One thing I don’t feel like you touched on is where to differentiate a manga story from what came before. Genres have playbooks, but I don’t think readers want stories where they know what’s going to happen. And besides, would Naruto and One Piece really stand so strong if they weren’t so different from Dragon Ball? Wouldn’t you say it’s more important to understand audience expectations so that you can meet and surpass them?
Fair point! You’d definitely need to learn to be unique to become successful, but this video was made for beginners. For people who are just starting out, it’s a bit far fetched to expect to surpass these established titles right away. We believe in making goals realistic and taking it one step at a time. Studying the success of previous mangakas and being able to execute on effective visual storytelling is already challenging enough for someone who’s never made a manga before. Once you’ve hit that level, you can think about how to surpass it next.
Ive watched multiple tutorials and they’re great, but i keep asking myself. How and why was this channel created? My hypothesis is that the Manga industry slowly wants to expand their number of foreign creators, i mean free consultation calls no patreon shill or a personal project you talk about. I think its a shot in the dark here
@@aphlearntodrawmangaI’m starting off with two one shots about tragic romance and maybe a bit of supernatural that I’m planning to make, if it gain popularity in the future I’ll continue the series but if it doesn’t do as well as I wishes I may make other one shots. I want to keep my manga in the making a secret right now since I don’t want to have any one copy my stuff but thanks for asking and making this video, I find this channel extremely helpful

I made storyboard of many animes but been struggling to draw and everything you been saying on beginner drawers have trouble it's true because I been going through it too I am still a beginner and would love to make a call to join your team but i don't know if you accept a person who still a noob at drawing but has many great ideas
no one is trying to ban girls from reading shonen lol the literal definition of shonen is “a genre of Japanese comics and animated films aimed primarily at a young male audience”
What a nightmare. The stereotypical pigeonholing and sexism of the "target audience"-categories is utterly frustrating! I'm glad the European comic scene is totally different! Very good narrator though... They really want to look professional.

Hi l have a question if any one below 18 can do the master class and your videos are very helpful😊
Hi, you can sign up to our FREE training videos but we do not take on students below 18 in our official manga program.
I am under 18, can I still book a call or should I wait until I am 18
It’s best if you wait until you’re 18. And make sure to tell your parents about your plans 😉
We’re really excited you want to work with us though! 😀
OH BABY EVERYTIME I SEE CHARACTERS FROM ANIMES I WATCH I GET SO HYPED AND HAPPYYY
I'm a girl who reads Shonen and knows lots of girls who read Shonen so ya need to rethink that.
no one is trying to ban girls from reading shonen lol the literal definition of shonen is “a genre of Japanese comics and animated films aimed primarily at a young male audience”
I like to ship main lead with 2nd main lead 😂like naruto and sasuke
Dokttobayo
"shonen which is boys 12-18" uuuuuuhhhhhhh ig I prefer murdering and cool unrealistic universes than romance 🤷🏻♀️
Manga is becoming too genre and trope driven
