Pdogg is main producer of most of his song and here there's also ghostloop and according to him everything is Jimin's concept and ideas. Jimin also showed his notebook where he wrote the lyrics and majority of it was used in the songs. Jimin has majority of the decisions in all songs. I'm actually scared of his potential. This is his first album and the way he made the different songs cohesive is amazing. Grammys reviewed it and said it is visionary.
I believe RM co wrote some of the songs. Was it Face Off and Like Crazy - I think?! What interview did you see him showing his notebook?

9:11 I basically only seen people, fans and non fans love Set Me Free BUT other fandoms, Jimin antis and some others solo stans were saying bad stuff trying to convince others that that was the general opinion and that only some liked SMFpt2. The also tried to rio every part of it apart, hating on everything.
I mean the trumpet player even took one haters fake nice concerned post about how Jimin deserved better than a keyboard trumpet and choir and that it was so fake etc and he included that in his insta post thanking Jimin for having him playing trumpet on the track. And we known about the very real choir since Jimin visited them months ago.
One thing you shouldn't do is take other kpop fandoms "opinion" as a general opinion.

Loved the synth,the moving set and his vocals which has a bag of characters to his tone.The lyrics expresses the pain and loneliness and how everything around him is meaningless..He just wants to be in a trance and the moment to last forever.

loved your reaction as always! to give you some context, Jimin did say the song was inspired by the movie but he also added that it is a song that expresses the hurt after a breakup and the emotion of the moment when you try to run away from reality to forget your wounds... so you can see that he's drinking in the MV, saying he'd rather be "lost in the lights" instead of facing his reality, saying that he doesn't want to be saved, doesn’t want to be awake from this dream where everything's fine and he isn't hurt. also, I'm not sure if you noticed that the camera focused on a girl that's walking directly at him while he also walks directly at her and the theory is that she's his reflection/another part of himself that he didn't want to FACE and she's also the one who grabbed him at the beggining of the MV with the muddy hand and you can notice that at the end his own hand is muddy cause he and his reflection are finally one. :) he's a true artist and a genius.

I've been seeing a lot of reactors talk about how everyone had something to say about Set Me Free whether it's the auto tune or something else and I'm thinking??? That's not the opinions Ive seen regarding the song. But then what was the common theme of the individuals who had negative things to say? Yep, it's kpop stans, also people who feel some way about bts, and I know that's the group of people in kpop reactors following so that's the type of opinions that reactors see. Otherwise most of us and every other normal person had good things to say about it. Even reactors didn't see the issue with the whole "autotune" thing people apparently kept screaming about.

They did eventually get it unbanned buuuut, the face of the guy on Jimins jeans is Robert Mapplethorpe and I honestly believe that Jimin knows of him. Jimin is actually quite the art lover so yeah.
The synth pop is so 80's queer scene style & really reminded me of the Pet Shop Boys/Bronski Beat kinda.
I don't think Jimin is referencing this to "his relationship" I mean it could be but I see it as you said, it's referencing being in that moment and as Jimin said this is how he felt during the pandemic & all the feelings he was facing being in that moment.
I think the girl is also him as he comes face to face with her on the dance floor and then it immediately goes to him looking at his reflection. Jimin portrayed it exactly how I read it.

"Acne studio"on his T-shirt is from a Swedish fashion brand. He has previously said in an interview that he would like to go back to Northern Europe (Bon Voyage) because he thought it was a beautiful place. But that is just me reaching for straws and being biased because I'm Scandinavian. But joke aside, if it is a hint/clue it could be that he was inspired by the Synth pop scene/producers you find in Sweden. Or perhaps it is just a cool t-shirt😄. 🤷
By the way as a side note: if we talk about the whole gender/ sexuality issue - Synth pop is the perfect place to be, as it has always been very fluid in its expression. It just suits him so well.

I seemed like he was going backwards trying to get back in to the dream. The mud is something weird distinguishing it as a dream sequence. He brings a little back at the end. I think a lot of people liked Set Me Free Pt 2, diehard Jimin fans but also it’s different people, like I was happy that so many people were not Bts fans before. Many men and rappers were introduced to Jimin. I think many new fans that discovered Bts through On the Street by J Hope . Many of the J Cole fans are going down the rabbit hole and saw Jimin because it was a new release right after J Hope. My favorite song on the EP is Face Off which is already banned from tv in Korea so, that says a lot about me lol. I will def catch your reaction to Fallon, you will love it.

I'm not one to assume ANYTHING. But in the original lyrics Jimin wrote, there were no gendered pronouns like "She says baby come and follow me" it was just "Baby come and follow me". He also wrote the "give me a good ride" lyrics himself. In the music video there was also a WLW couple and on his jeans there's a picture of Robert Mapplethorpe. So it's beautiful Jimin's supportive of the LGBT+ community whether he is a part of it himself or not. Thank you for the reaction 🔥

His whole album feels so queer coded to me, it's insane. The way he's mirrored by the girl reminds me a lot of Filter. His stuff is generally very much queer coded.
