I love all of Jimin's solo songs, I recommend Serendipity (live), Like Crazy and Set Me Free. Jimin´s who is my favorite and then standing next to you and haegum. both in terms of mv and music and voice. the other songs are also amazing but not as much my style of music i love j-hopes other songs more and same with RM (wild flower and nuts is my fave from rm). v´s, it has to be singularity still nothing can beat that
RM leaving all those fun parts of himself behind as he uses those parts of himself as he climbs to the top. When really young J Hope used to belong to a street dance crew called Neuron( the youngest to join).
The wild part is that if you pick another solo song from their recent Chapter 2 releases, you'll get a totally different sound for each member as well. All of the members came out with totally different sounds from each other and even within their albums the sounds were different. And then 3 of the members put out two solo albums which had polar opposite sounds for each one. Namjoon's Indigo album is totally opposite to his RPWP album, Hobi's Jack in the Box album is the total opposite to his Hope on the Street album, and Jimin's Face album sounds nothing like his Muse album. And none of those 6 albums sounds anything like any other members' albums. It's crazy how much variety we got in the past two years.
The thing about BTS is that they are fans of each other, probably more than Army and that’s saying a lot. They always find time for each other, whether it’s Jimin flying half way around the world to support Jhope at Lollapalooza, jhope renting a coffee truck for Suga mv shoot, or Jungkook quickly flying from the US to Korea in the middle of a busy schedule, just so he could be there for j-hope’s enlistment. They’re pretty much the gold standard for how a group manages group and solo activities while staying together.
Please check out JUNG KOOK’S S Euphoria, 3D with Jack Harlow, Seven with Latto, Hate You, My Time, there all amazing. He has a record “ Golden “ that ate amazing too.
BTS is known to be diverse both in taste personality and talent. so you will get no overlap or people who you can do without. they are all unique and needed in their own way and they embrace it. while other groups who also produce some solo artist they go for the group sound. they do what the fans want or expect so in reality many don´t really love what they do for long because they can´t make the music they really want in fear their fans will leave them. but bts was build differently they have so many unique styles so army never predict or expect what they will come with next and that is really exciting to me.
You don't need to choose!!!! My bias shifts with every video,, and that's okay. As every one has said, Haegeum is part of a trilogy, so please watch Daechwita and Amygdala also--lots to digest there. Also, your life will not be complete without: --Jimin's live performances of Lie and Filter (get the second day's purple suit version--better camera work), --Jin's live performances of Epiphany and Astronaut (be sure to listen to Chris Martin's introduction of Jin -- very moving), --JK's visualizer video of Hate You and the live of Euphoria, --JHope's lives at 2022 MAMA awards show or Lollapalooza for More and Arson, --V's Singularity (I actually like the official MV for this because you can't hear him sing over the screaming on the live version). and --RM's Persona and Wildflower You can usually find the live performances with English subs at the channel Enjoy BTS More--she's a major resource for ARMY because she does a great job with editing in the subs and uses the best translations, usually from Doolset (another real resource--and often provides cultural context and wordplay help too). While you are looking for group songs, don't neglect the B-sides--the songs with no official MV. Great live performances exist though for Dimple, Pied Piper, 134340, Magic Shop, etc. I know that the color-coded lyric videos might be tempting, but you should avoid them--they get thrown up to UA-cam too fast with bad translations.

The meaning of Haegeum can be interpreted in two ways. First of all, it is the name of a traditional Korean instrument. The sound of the instrument in the music video is the sound of playing the haegeum. And in the sense of lifting what was forbidden. In English, it is called Unlock. The beginning of D-day is said to be the day of liberation from negativity. So the word haegeum means unlocking as a musical instrument, but I think it is a song of Yoongi, who has been liberated from the negativity that was forbidden and bound.
Yeah, don’t choose, especially publicly. I have a bias, but I love every single one of their releases. Thankfully I love all kinds of music. BTW, Diana Ross put “Standing Next to You” on her website on February, 2024 and it is still there today. I don’t know how long it will stay there, but it’s an honor considering MJ and her were almost like family. This is what she wrote: “I really like his songs and his videos. I didn't choose Suga. Suga chose me. lmao I listened to his solo songs back in 2015 (HYYH: The Most Beautiful Moment in life and Intro: Nevermind) and the lyrics really helped me during that time in college. Ofcourse I love all the rest of the members equally too. Like, Suga just has 1% higher than the rest hahaha

If I may suggest, if you have the time to listen to all the songs in their individual albums. They are all good. Those are the solo albums before they enlisted but I really want you to listen to their albums as BTS.

As their fanbase (ARMY) grew, they created a forcefield aound BTS, keeping away those who mean them harm, fueled by jealousy and envy.
Getting to know all seven members, not only as idols, but as human beings is an amazing journey, They make us laugh and cry, happy and sometimes sad, and make us fall in love with each one of them, no matter what gender or age we are. BTS = love x7

The meaning of Haegeum can be interpreted in two ways. First of all, it is the name of a traditional Korean instrument. The sound of the instrument in the music video is the sound of playing the haegeum. And in the sense of lifting what was forbidden. In English, it is called Unlock. The beginning of D-day is said to be the day of liberation from negativity. So the word haegeum means unlocking as a musical instrument, but I think it is a song of Yoongi, who has been liberated from the negativity that was forbidden and bound.
Yeah, don’t choose, especially publicly. I have a bias, but I love every single one of their releases. Thankfully I love all kinds of music.
BTW, Diana Ross put “Standing Next to You” on her website on February, 2024 and it is still there today. I don’t know how long it will stay there, but it’s an honor considering MJ and her were almost like family. This is what she wrote:

I personally lean toward Suga, RM, and V’s music but it’s seriously so amazing how different and talented they all are and they’re all in one group!! But seriously just enjoy the journey!! I love that solo era let them all explore the music they want to do!! My favorite albums from solo era are def Indigo (RM), Right Person Wrong Place (RM), D-Day (Suga), and Layover (V) they’re all albums that I have no skips! I like the other solo albums too but mostly just a have a few favorite songs from them! From Golden (JK) I like Please Don’t Change, Hate You, Closer to You, 3D & STNY! From FACE (Jimin) I like Alone and Set me free pt 2 & from MUSE I like Rebirth. I like most of the songs from Jack in the Box and Hope on the Street (Hobi). & from Happy (Jin) I like Heart on the Window! 🤗

I didn't choose Suga. Suga chose me. lmao I listened to his solo songs back in 2015 (HYYH: The Most Beautiful Moment in life and Intro: Nevermind) and the lyrics really helped me during that time in college. Ofcourse I love all the rest of the members equally too. Like, Suga just has 1% higher than the rest hahaha
I love all members but my bias is V. Watch there shows like run bts shows them more outside of music. It comes down to personality as well.

If I may suggest, if you have the time to listen to all the songs in their individual albums. They are all good. The albums are INDIGO by RM, JACK IN THE BOX & HOPE ON THE STREET by JHope, GOLDEN by Jungkook, LAYOVER by V, DDAY by Suga, HAPPY by Jin and FACE & MUSE by Jimin where WHO is the title track.
Those are the solo albums before they enlisted but I really want you to listen to their albums as BTS.

In all 3 Songs of Sugas Trilogy there are 2 Sugas
DAECHWITA, Mad abusive King Suga V Street rebel leader Suga= proffessional journey and conflict where King Suga represents the industry that abused BTS, but also who young Suga full of anger and terrifying ambition could have been.. whereas sreet rebel Suga raises the oppressed people with his beat and they help him defeat the mad King.
HAEGEUM, corrupt police detective( society's rules and regulations) V Steet thug Suga who represents anarchy. The cycle of corruption. The ballance between anarchy and repression.
AMYGDALA. the two Sugas are past and present. This is the conflict created by Suga trying to address and resolve his internal traumas. All events are real except the box cutter that addressed Sugas past self destructive period where he dealt with extreme depression social phobia OCD and even suicid.l ideation.
