Love Teea Goans! She has an authentic country girl way about her. One line she sings in this song really popped out at me! "Life is what happens while you're busy making plans" because it's a sentiment that made a big impression on me and stuck in my mind years ago when I heard a similar variation of it in John Lennon's song, "Beautiful Boy" from his last album. He sang "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans". That's just such a true statement, lol!
I really like this and the message of the song. Life can bring lot of detours to your life and believe me I have been on quite a few . I have ADD a more quitter form but still my mind can easily be going a hundred miles a hour in many different directions . That can bring detours in it self but I am getting off track of the song so many ways to get detour from the direction you have decided to take in life .
I love the goofy grin on your face too --- it's like a mirror to me. Love this lady every time I hear her, great to hear again on the channel! I just love the concept of nobody lives on the throughway, life happens on the detour. When I was young the throughways were few and far between, so I spent my travelling time on the two-lanes, and I really miss the life that's in the towns. It's a shame that they all got bypassed when the big roads came through, and that the ma and pa diners got supplanted by McDonalds (so disappointing in so many ways). Teea is so multitalented not only did she and Moose Brown write and score the music, she and her husband Brandon shot the video and sinked the music from a road trip on Route 66.
