I'm a bass-baritone, and have bass low Eb all the time up to soprano top G, A, even Bb when warmed up, and I have hit top C but it was FULL voice into a pillow lol, so with practice any singer can train their high range. This was one live take ... on a stage ... with an audience ... with some of the performers trying to be funny during the performance ... in a room with who-knows-who-good acoustics. Brian Wilson was a total studio perfectionist. One tiny sharp or flat and he would hear it and demand another vocal take. He would have the band record vocals in specific rooms at specific studios just for the particular echo characteristics of that room, depending on what sound he wanted. That, in addition to many other factors, is a large reason why the Beach Boys studio-produced records sound so good.
