Xaundre you hit the point clearly. Many females ( young and older) can’t differentiate natural kindness and chivalry from a male against this male wanting to be engaged in a serious relationship. I had a convo about this just last evening with my colleagues. We need to get this fixed mindset changed.
Excellent discussion and content, XyZ! Such discussions are crucial in the Christian community, and specifically our SDA community; you guys nailed it with all the points you made. Zaundre, thank you for speaking directly to the males. So often they trifle with ladies' hearts, and, honestly, I think they often don't know any better because of their socialization and cultural perspectives on what it means to be a man, overlooking what it means to be a CHRISTIAN man. A lot of our men need mentoring from Christian men, like yourself, who are striving to continually grow in Christ and are balanced. On the point of dating someone who is of a different faith, consider that people also pretend to get what they want; however, if one is praying earnestly at every stage on the journey to marriage, God will give wisdom and discernment. The issue is we often overlook the red flags because usually emotions overrule biblical knowledge and/or counsel. A lot of times singles pass on a good person for arguably, frivolous reasons. Sometimes you have to look past getting the perfect man or woman and consider those with possibilties for growth. Tell you the truth, if I had this video shared with me in my early days of dating (that's years ago) I would have been a lot wiser in my decision-making. You both presented very interesting perspectives. I didn't date as a single, but I had male friends who I didn't go out on dates with. We just got to know each other and some of them even knew each other. There were no hard feelings. Most of them got married before me and I became friends with their wives too. I later courted the person I married and God brought us together. For believers, God should be the centre of our decision-making. Although I married someone from my denomination, I was open to marrying someone from another destination if our belief system aligns.

I agree with Zhara, I don't believe in missionary dating. If you are seeking to lead the person to Christ then do that. I think missionary dating adds alot of blurred lines, and we may subconsciously lead others to us than God. Sometimes as well it puts pressure on the non-believer to 'change' to please the believer and he/she has a relationship with God only through the believer.
Love the content. This must be taught in church. Some young people are really struggling and secretly defiling themselves because of lack of knowledge and a strong support system.
Love this video and love you guys, but as a someone who is not 7th Day Adventist but a committed Christian, I agree with Zhara and think it's somewhat a waste of time to date someone who's of a denomination that practices a drastically different lifestyle from my denomination if I know I don't intend to marry someone of a different denomination, because it could be a case where you find yourself falling in love with that person but the two of you can't see eye to eye on certain lifestyle issues. That will cause a lot of pain and it's important to guard your hard and that other person's heart as well. You don't want to lead each other on to a point where you're in love but can't be together. You could be friends with people from different denominations and there's no problem with that as long they are good godly friendships but I think it shouldn't get to a dating stage. And not only courting there has to be some understanding. If for example, if I can't cook, there has to be some understanding, its only fair, not everyone can and some of us have to start from somewhere. Who knows, he or she can teach each other. So again, understanding, understanding. If a man or woman believes that ok, I can't cook so goodbye, then goodbye, you're not the match but all I'm saying take time and don't rush. Remember we all know what we want and what attracts us is also important. Compatible is the key for any relationship to work and that's the key.

I was converted from pentecostal to SDA through a friendship with an adventist who took the time to do bible study with me and the Lord used them to lead me to truth. In a situation like this, i believe it is fine to get to know someone who isn't already sda. That could very well be your husband or wife who God will groom into truth and make you both equally yoked for a relationship. I have also met and spoken with so many lukewarm sda guys. So for me i would not shut down the idea of (spirit led) missionary dating.
I love this series! Pertaining to the conversation, I’m with Zhara. I feel like you get to a point in your walk where you actually need someone who is in one accord and you just can’t bother to feel out someone who loves God but may not be in one accord, start like them off then struggle to end it when you realize you’re really Peter and Paul and don’t agree on many things but both love God fiercely. In short, it saves you time and feelings.

I agree with the confusion that may come through the cross denominational dating but i will date/marry outside denomination (with similar beliefs.) Yes a lot of the good Christian men do need some serious help with being a man with living practical here on earth.

This is very informative! I must say I grew up in Pentecostal, I must agree with X on the point of really getting to know God, I was at that point of knowing and understanding God for myself and not what my parents impart and grew up with, so I was searching for myself. So for me from God was the head of his life that was top on my list. I'm an SDA for over --years, still studying and learning each day with my SDA hubby. Convert and truth There are alot of persons out their who just apply because is what they grew up with or what pastor say and really don't know better. Great video! I appreciate the sit down. Xaundre mentioned something I learnt the hard way. "Not because a guy is nice to you, means that he is interested in you romantically". Some people son just grow good . We have to be cognizant of that, It will save unnecessary heartache.

#Educational!💯 Really got a #FullUnderstanding of dating so now I think I'm open to dating(getting to know..) multiple persons @ once, affi guh work pon mi emotions first though 'cause I'm very emotional and I find that I tend to get 'emotionally attached' very easily. I agree, I'm not about to be dating/getting to know A, B & C. I agree with the confusion that may come through the cross denominational dating but i will date/marry outside denomination (with similar beliefs.) Yes a lot of the good Christian men do need some serious help with being a man with living practical here on earth.
Very matured conversation. You sound like seasoned marriage counsellors. Xaundre I like and understand your take on dating across denominations, however, I think it can be very risky. The person would have to understand dating the same way you do, because some people understand dating to be something very serious, so they end being heart-broken.

I must say I grew up in Pentecostal, I must agree with X on the point of really getting to know God, I was at that point of knowing and understanding God for myself and not what my parents impart and grew up with, so I was searching for myself. So for me from God was the head of his life that was top on my list.
I'm an SDA for over --years, still studying and learning each day with my SDA hubby.
Convert and truth
There are alot of persons out their who just apply because is what they grew up with or what pastor say and really don't know better. One of my favorite Bible verses..... other Sheep I have that are not of this fold John 10:16.

Just wanna thank you for sharing cuz not many ppl agree with me that marriages can work when people come from vastly different denominational backgrounds but I really honestly believe that what matters is whether both people are willing to learn and grow together in the Lord and can come to an amicable resolution prior to marriage.
