- The screw on the sides are just for closing the holes that were needed to drill the holes for the balls since it’s one peace - The “through coolant“ is actually used for removing chips from the center bore and the mating surfaces before each clamping process by suppling an air burst - The body is mainly turned with some milling features; it could also be that the inner precise surface is hard turned since grinding is difficult in this space and the surface looks like it - The one surface in the clamping bracket is grounded to allow a better fit (one precise part + one less precise is better than two less precise ones..) and for less sliding friction. And again it’s not easy to ground the inner part..cost cutting..

Thanks for the comment.
As soon as I finished the video I realized the function of the holes 😄.
Absolutely beautiful mechanism
I thing the hole on the outside of fixture (those with short thread) are so they can make inside hole for the balls.
Thanks for the commend. Yes I think you are right.
you wouldn't happen to have a zero point clamping system that you can disassemble that uses a pullstud screwed into the workpart?
The Lang pullstuds can be mounted on a workpiece. I got a video on the system.
I always wanted to know how they worked! Thanks you!
Thanks! Can you give me your Drawing!
I don’t have the drawing.
