Right few days ago I got a Symphony 125cc because easier sell when I will sell because it doesn't need license such as 169cc, moreover because cheaper insurance. Despite it maybe I should have bought Symphony 200 because better torque. However if with a higher torque the 169cc scooter, to start from a standstill uphill to full load requires a throttle opening of half a knob (50%), I who with the 125 have a lower torque, could I get the same starting result from a standstill by opening the knob to 100%? That is: does the greater torque only have the advantage of less engine effort or does it limit the starting/pushing performance at an uphill start? If I had a 50cc compared to a 170cc surely the gap would be maximum, but between a torque of 10 Nm and 12 Nm the gap cold be compensated with the greater opening of the throttle? Even with it being air cooled I’ve had my SYM 200 full throttle for long amounts of time. Probably almost an entire tank straight. They’ll tank some abuse.
If I want to take the liquid cooled system I would have to engineer from scratch a new cylinder and a new cylinder head, I don't have the tools or expertise for that. Drag racer
200 is faster and more comfortable because the rear wheel is 16" ,but i am frm Greece and for Greek summer the L/C is the best option.
I have the 125 lc euro 4 version.
The new euro5 200 has the 14 inch rear wheel, just like the 125l/c
@@RideWithAlex 😭
@@isorokueightbit1974 the rear tyre is 120/80r14 so it's a fat tyre and is comfortable on bumps if you don't overinflate it. I really like it.
Any one know the stock size and weight rollers for the 125 please looking to upgrade mines
The stock weight is 10.1 but I don't know the size, I'll try to check
Once a gain we witnessed that peak numbers are meaningless...
Power curve is mutch more important data..
witch application do you use?
Drag Racer on Android.
Price in morrocco st125 2200€ st200 3100
Even with it being air cooled I’ve had my SYM 200 full throttle for long amounts of time. Probably almost an entire tank straight. They’ll tank some abuse.
I've had myne for an iron butt full throttle, 1661km in 24 hours non stop. 12 full tanks of full throttle and it's still running fine 30.000km later.
Alex take the liquid cooled system put it into 200cc,and a refreshed Donnie is born.More power, more economical, way less noisy
If I want to take the liquid cooled system I would have to engineer from scratch a new cylinder and a new cylinder head, I don't have the tools or expertise for that. I would need someone who works as an engine designer and also all the tools to prototype a new engine and testing...it takes a manufacturer years to come up with a new engine.
@@RideWithAlex I thought is simple as just putting it,it seems very complex.
@@EndritBs nope, the cooling system dictates how the entire engine is designed.
@@RideWithAlex Shame SYM did not make at least my Jet X 200 LC.Aprilia SR GT is 18 HP,and is blast to ride.
no one did top speed for both. i's a shame.
Arround 100km/h
@@RideWithAlex for the 200?
@@hdidane00 yea
Body weight to ratio and the wind. And your visor to your helmet is open
I ride with it open 90% of the time.
A good test, but NHT 200 is a better bike.
What if you want a flat floor? :))
@@RideWithAlex It has one. Underneath it.
😂
Why the phone is not same speed on the scooter..?
Because all scooter speedos have an error to them, they show more than the real speed
@@RideWithAlex no no it's wrong here in Morocco we don't have that problem and sym 125cc give 130 KMH speed...
APP wrong not the scooter
@@othmaneaitidir4541 GPS speed is not wrong, show me a 125cc Sym going 130, unmodified and the GPS speed not indicated dash speed. Even the manufacturer says top speed is 99km/h and I think I know my way arround a Sym scooter 😉
@@RideWithAlex ua-cam.com/video/rciwiNx1gNE/v-deo.html
@@othmaneaitidir4541i ve st 200cc top speed only me 136km|h abd 130km if im with someone
Bring that in Philippines. Our 125cc scooter here can go up to 130kph stock engine it depends how you tune ur cvt and the driver 😂😂😂 it can race with big bike 🤣
If you tune the CVT it's not really stock now is it?
I ve st200cc in morrocco top speed 136
Stock?
@@RideWithAlex nop top speed 136
@@pastossellami300 that's nice, must be using different parts over there.
Is it good for a delivery work ? Symphony 200cc
Yes it is :)
125 its better than the 200 ...same price same horses
Wow sym Simphony s 125i ok
Good video .. i have a 0 - 100 with my ST 200 in my chanel
Well,I modded my 125 and runs almost identical to the 200!The difference up to 93 km/h from stop was 2 bikes length!
What did you do to it?
@@RideWithAlex I cut the exhaust tip to improve flow and modified the airbox making it less restrictive.I also cut a piece of the grille that covers the back of the air filter which made it more free flowing. The throttle response is much better, the bike starts with less throttle,it pulls harder and it spins from stop at non perfect tarmac(almost always-lol).
The noise now is the same in normal throttle position but louder and sportier when you" floor " it.
@@zzt231gr nice 😁
@@RideWithAlex I forgot to mention that in many random encounters with the latest Piaggio Medley 125 -also popular scooter in Greece- I am running head to head with them, which is a scooter that has ~14.5 horsepower.
