@@therealgojjam You are the one who should do the fact checking. If you analyze his start from his onboard camera on a frame-by-frame basis, you can see that the car starts pointing up (meaning the weight is shifting to the back of the car, caused by accelerating - aka his initial launch on the start) BEFORE the lights even go out. However, he only moved out of his grid slot AFTER the lights were out, meaning his start was legal. I have no idea what you're talking about with your "0.201" seconds because its simply false. Honestly now, there was something pleasing looking at the podium today. Bottas, Vettel and Riccardo just creat this nice atmosphere, all smiling, just nice people. On the other hand, looking at Hamilton, at any given time, just makes everything darker and uncomfortable, like he's a villan or some sort. As a Ferrai fan, I'm happy with today and happy for Bottas. Just an overall nice guy and a good driver. Well done!
you know the race wasn't great when the higlights go from lap 8 to lap 41 and then to lap 70 , never the less the end was enjoyable and we have another race in a weeks time
My aunt and grand mother live in the next city over in Austria. The race track is just literally a few minutes away from where they live. I've been there and saw it in 2002. from the looks of it they've had serious refurbishments to it ever since then.
1. Bottas did a Godlike start that surely wouldn't happen again in the near future 2. Kvyat came in like a Torpedo and got a double kill 3. Kimi's Overcut didn't work out what else could go wrong?
Austrian GP 2017: Vatteri’s first with Hamilton Fourth. A Ferrari in 2nd and Verstappen out. Also Magnussen is out too. Austrian GP 2020: Vatteri’s first with Hamilton Fourth. A Ferrari in 2nd and Verstappen out. Also Magnussen is out too.
BOTTAS DID NOT JUMPSTART! The FIA already explained this shit. Now he's getting hate for something he didn't do, he actually should be getting compliments about his reaction time.
Well his car started moving while the red lights were still on. So in any other Motorsports League (including MotoGP) this would be considered a jumpstart.
Dylan Baas, in other racing series this is considered a jump start. But due to the way the F1 stewards determine jump starts and the tolerance levels by the F1 stewards it is not a jump start in F1. Maybe that is where the confusion is coming from
Move and take the first green led at red light is not a jumpstart ? ok.. now i will move whit the red light on my car, if the police caught me i call the FIA ! :D
Kimi pace impossible to hold out Hamilton. If he straight pit after Hamilton, he will eventually behind Hamilton. So, stay as long as possible and try to hold out Bottas but didn't happen.
There was talk of someone taking Kvyat's seat in the Sky pre-show. He proved them wrong by taking out two fan favourites. Man, what happened to Kvyat. He was amazing before his initial promotion to Red Bull in the Toro Rosso, especially in the rain. He seems to have lost something. To make a mistake like that is not what I would have expected from him a few years ago
"The FIA has explained, however, that some movement before the lights go out is allowed because of the need occasionally for drivers to make adjustments to their clutch in those crucial moments before the start." So that tiny tiny tiny move for Bottas before lights went off was because he make adjustments to his clutch, but he didn't push the gas before lights went off! So NO jump start. And his reaction time AFTER the lights went off was 0.201 and if he would jump started the reaction time would have been like 0.000. And not only that but Vettel reaction time was over 0.400, so Bottas reaction time was over 0.200 quicker and in the F1 margins that is a lot. I think Bottas little bit guessed the start, but he still didn't jump the start. If he would then FIA would have noticed that surely later or sooner...
Iv noticed a pattern in Bottas on the radio after a win, he goes from super energetic with the first comment, then to medium, then low, then no excitement on the last phrase haha
Bottas jump started by 0.003 but it is in the realm of clutch adjustment rule so he did nothing wrong. Should be case closed but some people have pretty thick skulls. BTW don't send me that gif, do yourself a favor and read my comment.
Great argument. He jump-started but because F1 has poor regulations he did nothing wrong. Unless Bottas intended to go before the lights went out but later than he would be detected by the sensors he did do something wrong.
As someone who's been on the Ferrari train this season, I have to say, Bottas did not jump the start. He just had some cat-like reflexes on that start!
How did Vandoorne get a penalty for ignoring blue flag? Perez did the same to Bottas but he didn't get a penalty because bottas didn't complain like crybaby Raikkonen. Even if he actually ignored them, what is debatable, how is the punishment only 10sec less than deliberately ramming someone? I mean vettel got drivethrough +10 sec for ramming...
Bottas with possibly the greatest start in the season. Right down to the wire in the end, hopefully he will be a real contestant to the championship going forward. If he can keep qualifying 1st it could be a fun climb to the top
Those last two laps were absolutely nail-biting and also bottas' start was phenomenal

Well done!
These cars look so good its sick
you know the race wasn't great when the higlights go from lap 8 to lap 41 and then to lap 70 , never the less the end was enjoyable and we have another race in a weeks time
By This incident I can confidentally say that Kvyat is a normal Russian
Basically the sole race highlight is viewing and replaying the last two laps :')
Driver of the day: Max Verstappen
Haha... Ha.. ha... So original..
i voted for Alonso
More like, Driver of the DNF: Max Verstappen
This is almost racist. Three races in a row with a DNF!
Driver of the corner - Max Vercrashem
I fucking love Bottas' reactions.
Clutch of the day: Max Verstappen's clutch.
My aunt and grand mother live in the next city over in Austria. The race track is just literally a few minutes away from where they live. I've been there and saw it in 2002. from the looks of it they've had serious refurbishments to it ever since then.
Its lights out and away we go!
Avalanche The favourite words in my life
F1 is incomplete without those two commentators
I like that line; I still love Sir Murray Walker's though.
Drunken Hobo true
Thank you very much for posting this .
Who is watching this in 2018 ;-) let's go ! next week
Joost Wasbauer :D tomorrow
Less than two weeks for Spa.... Come on.... Awaiting the Ferrari domination! YES YES YES YES
1. Bottas did a Godlike start that surely wouldn't happen again in the near future
2. Kvyat came in like a Torpedo and got a double kill
3. Kimi's Overcut didn't work out
what else could go wrong?
Palmer finished 11th.....So close.....I think it's about to become "now or never" for him.
#PrayForPalmer
bosshunterman
He has Mercedes Strategy levels of luck.
He finished 11th 3 times in 4 races....
But he did well and outrace Nico this time
The amazing "and the lights out" Sound.
Ah yes the times when we had 3 competitive teams
Instead of 3 competitive drivers
Maybe that is where the confusion is coming from
Yes, his car moved a little bit early, but I wouldn't consider it a jumpstart. On top of that the FIA already explained why it was legal.
Dylan Baas he moved about .5 almost a jumpstart anyway the race is done let's all move on
Move and take the first green led at red light is not a jumpstart ? ok.. now i will move whit the red light on my car, if the police caught me i call the FIA ! :D
The end of the race of Austrian & Azerbaijan Grand Prix is very very very wonderful
Honestly...we need that one more lap!
Eemeli Akselin And kimi to hold up a little bit more
I wish HAAS find grip this year they were on to something 2016-2017.
The torpedo is back at it again
That’s the race when Max decided to take Kelly away from Kvyat 🙌🏻
I don't understand Kimi's strategy..
talita r He was helping Vettel by staying out longer and holding both Mercedes cars.
talita r dont worry he knows what hes doing 😉
Not really a lot you can do when Ferrari shamelessly use you as a pawn to back up your hack teammate.
Kimi pace impossible to hold out Hamilton. If he straight pit after Hamilton, he will eventually behind Hamilton. So, stay as long as possible and try to hold out Bottas but didn't happen.
@@iantan232 what a load of b.s it was plain to see ferrari doing the moving chicane stuff without pitting kimi to help seb
Max's bad luck is just unreal.. All the Dutch fans were just destroyed.. the only thing that saved my day was seeing the shoey in real life.
To Whom @ Thank you for not adding an obnoxious soundtrack on this video.
Imagine if The Williams were in a better Position in The Qualifying
"The FIA has explained, however, that some movement before the lights go out is allowed because of the need occasionally for drivers to make adjustments to their clutch in those crucial moments before the start."
So that tiny tiny tiny move for Bottas before lights went off was because he make adjustments to his clutch, but he didn't push the gas before lights went off!
So sad for Verstappen, and it's always not his mistake though :(
Kevin Irawan Spain was his fault. 😛
Bullshit, he made enough mistakes during his career that harmed other drivers, so it's just Karma.
LN DO When?
LN DO Bullshit, people just can't deal with the fact that he's more talented than crybaby Vettel and Hamroll
Tall Man First of all my favourite driver is Raikkonen, but that's my opinion about Verstappen, so deal with it.
Iv noticed a pattern in Bottas on the radio after a win, he goes from super energetic with the first comment, then to medium, then low, then no excitement on the last phrase haha
“Down the inside goes Daniel Ricciardo, pushes Kimi Raikkonen wide” so that’s where Max go it from.
I like how Bottas say at the end 'YEAH' 'WHOA' at Azerbaijan as well as austria.
Kvyat ffs with his torpedo moves again..
6:43-6:52 the way Dan sprayed champagne🍾 😆
Kvyat goes back to Ufa
If the sf70h had the sf71h's engine it would have been a tight title fight
Majority Crowd came to see Verstappen....*smh*
Edited: Bottas Got d Reflexes....boiii!!!
This season has been amazing so far
Kvyat : Give up
Thankyou so much for this vídeo 😊
Can we go back to baku next ty!
the perfect start in F1 history
I mean vettel got drivethrough +10 sec for ramming...
and vandoorne gets drivetrough for supposedly not letting Raikkonen through fast enough...
It is clear to me that ferrari gets away with a lot more than the other teams...
Bottas with possibly the greatest start in the season. Right down to the wire in the end, hopefully he will be a real contestant to the championship going forward. If he can keep qualifying 1st it could be a fun climb to the top
