I received this exact watch a few years ago.
I bid on a storage unit, and won the contents for only $300
This watch was in a water soaked box..... that turned out to be an authentic watch... now worth $37,000

That's not too bad. I mean either you got it in retail price, which says that you are important enough for the sales person to sell you one, or you pay the premium, which says that you don't really care about money. either way, you are a winner already.

In general, for a pre-owned Daytona, it depends on how old it is, the condition, whether it has box/papers, etc, etc. The price of a pre-owned Daytona could be the same as retail and sometimes even more. Or, if it is an older serial without the box/papers you could save a few thousand dollars.
