Ugh, as someone who works in surveillance, I hate Chinese Mainlander. They're so accustomed to the safety in Mainland that they are oblivious to potential danger. They leave their purse on the chair behind their back. They even leave money unattended. Guess who work their ass off to locate the thieves to retrieve the items for them.
I would love to learn how to fly a drone like that and capture amazing aerial footage like you did at the end of your "firsts" series. And I absolutely loved the distinctly Chinese instrumental piece at the end to accompany the 4K footage of Xiamen Uni.
Thanks for the kind words! I really like editing those sequences , took me ages to find a good song to go with it. Drone technology is so advanced nowadays it doesn't take long to get the hang of flying one and once you do it's quite a fun little hobby. If you have questions I'm happy to answer them 😊
China's wine culture is very complex. Taking Moutai as an example, the Chinese say that Moutai usually refers to the "Feitian Moutai" product produced by Moutai Group(located in Moutai town), the price is about 2700 yuan per bottle which is very expensive, but many other wineries will also call their products Moutai, because their wine are also produced in Moutai town, which can attract consumers and raise the price of wine. In fact, even the Moutai Group itself will produce a lot of cheap Moutai wine to occupy the low-end market. Judging from the packaging, what you drunk is not real Moutai, after all, real Moutai is too expensive and difficult to buy. Real Moutai usually won't give you a headache, this is a surprising fact I found after drinking real Moutai.
Sounds like a champagne vs Champagne argument to me that I'm not qualified to participate in haha. My two cents though, if people genuinely think that drinking something with 53% alcohol can't dehydrate you and make you feel bad the next day because it's "good quality" then their marketing teams deserve a raise.
@@thejourneyofjake Not only Maotai but also other Chinese alcohol, according to my decades of drinking experiences, good alcohol truly can make you feel better the next day. Of course, feeling bad is inevitable after drinking too much, but good alcohol won't cause the headache.
I am with you on your reaction to the red wine coffee... It's a gimmick to get more customers buy coffee. Same with Moutai and Coffee (do they still have that at Luckin Coffee? or perhaps they switched it to red wine now?)
Mate, I hope when the time is right, you can make a fair and balanced assessment on the homeless situation in Xiamen vs your native Melbourne. As its former longtime resident (per early 2012), I do think Melbourne was doing very well in this aspect save for a few spots like Spencer St / Flinders St train station and Latrobe St. I did spot a couple of them there. Just like it, Xiamen is also widely known as the most livable city there is in China. This obviously makes me rather curious. 😁
@@hsheuw it’s a mystery to me as well. I guess everyone has something to eat and some places to live, some savings in time of need, some people or communities to be relied upon, and the Chinese culture of despising people living on the streets? I know one thing for sure though, that is, governments do provide some allowance to people who are struggling.
I live in Sydney. I will try my best to avoid the area near the central station and the adjacent public park because I have seen homeless people sleeping there. I feel very sorry for them....
I am from Quanzhou and having been living in Melbourne for the past 20 years, your videos really brought out my homesickness. Enjoy your time in Xiamen and make sure to check out QZ one day! It's kinda like a little Kyoto of China.
Thank you! Sorry to bring out your homesickness haha but glad you enjoyed the videos. I went to Quan Zhou for a bit of a whirlwind one-day class trip to see some museums, and filmed a lot of it so I'll probably make a video about that shortly. I need to go back though, it felt like there's a lot to see there!
luckin coffee always have new types to have new or curious customers, actually the newest type coffee like the red wine in the video might not always be delicious.they just try to make something new to guess the market demand.if it sells good they will keep selling it and if not the type will be replaced by otrhers.have you ever tried the 生椰拿铁?it sells well in the serval years and was thought tobe the symbol of luckin coffee.

Xiamen is such a nice place. I would love to experience the beautiful life there.
Upload more videos about real China pls, LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!!
awesome, I also like Australia very much, as I live in Brisbane 🎉
Don't forget to understand that China is the definition of "safety". Nowadays, all anyone wants is safety. What can anyone even do, outside of China?

your reaction to luckin coffee is exactly the same as my Australian husband. lol!

Agreed!
The ending music is nice with the sceneries.

Is there even any homeless people in China? Never heard of, at least in recent years.

Thank you! 😃
There are two reason why you have headaches after drinking Maotai: 1) The Maotai is not a real one; 2) Maotai + beer = headache
thanks for the video you seem to be like a good european, open minded, unlike the colonizers and racists on TV. keep up.
Luckin got a maotai crossover few months ago.., it tasted like Bailey
I had their ice cream, not bad, but very expensive
I heard of that! That'll have to be next on my list of things to try haha

Is there an age limit for the chinese program you are doing? I'm soon to be 30 and was wondering if there is an upper limit ;) Btw how old are you?
The age limit is 35 so you have some time 😊 I am fast approaching that limit myself 😂

Duck heart. Chicken heart. Taste the same
I think coffee and alcohol are two things that should never be mixed together... 😂
@monipenny408yes I tasted before
In Australia we have a drink called an espresso Martini, quite common in bars and nightclubs. But I just can't imagine having one in the morning 😆

This shows nowadays how creative or trying to be creative Chinese people are.
That's not Maotai. That's a knockoff. It may be made in Maotai Town, Guizhou. But it's not the real Maotai.
this maotai must be fake,
