Doesn’t matter. He makes almost all his shots and is dropping 25+ to 30 pt games a night back to back with straight threes in a row… is accuracy is crazy
He reminds me of shai if instead of a dominant mid range maestro he’s just a 3 point demon 😭 that ankle flexibility on that snatch back and his ability to shoot anything he wants and find his spots is just beautiful
@roboticvenom1935 - I really can't hear it, but if you say so. The "I gang, he gang" alone is kinda ignorant. He does have a very fun style of play on the court though.
the most versatile shooter ive ever seen. he switches up his form depending on the situation. i wouldn´t be surprised if he starts shooting them left handed when fading to his right its so mesmerizing
"...plenty of space to rise up." But then he doesn't rise up. Never have I seen somebody shoot jumpers but regularly not jump. Confident, rangy/lanky, but highly intelligent.
Good insight into his offensive "repertoire". 10:16 is incredible! He is such a unique playmaker. I wish his "pocket dribbling" and extra steps were officiated more strictly. One thing that remains consistent and, imo, crucial to his shot-making is his follow-through.
Because of law of average. HIs career is 38% shooting less. Now he shoots more but is able to hit more. Would you rather have Jalen Green? He is also hitting more with more attempts this season so far. The difference is there is higher probability that Jalen will regress to his 33% average soon. Lamelo could keep this current streak as it's just 2% regression.
Taking 12 shots in an nba game & making 4-5 of them is a great job .. if your defending someone and they make every other shot your going to start respecting the shot . And opening up the game for him and everyone else
he plays like he has never seen a basketball tutorial of any sort. He plays like he doesn´t know what "guide-hand" oder "pick and roll" even mean lmao he just does what he feels like will get his team a bucket because he looks so purely instinctual man he is must-see TV
Awesome video! It's funny how Ja and Melo are the most exciting players in the NBA rn but each is better in the aspect that another is missing, just imagine Ja with Melo's shooting or Melo with Ja's finishing... 😵
Lamelo shoots a lot like I used to and I'm 41 so I been doing it before he was born lol it is a quick effortless shot and once you get it down it is very accurate. This way of shooting no need to jump even from half court. This is probably why he is my favorite player now
Micah Lancaster talks about this all the time - the ability to change set points on your shot depending on the situation. I think Lamello is just a product of thay new generation training.
Dude, you should cover his practices. I've seen sessions where he's practicing shots and purposefully playing off balance... like tilting his head, moving weirdly... it looks like he's spazzing out.
i dont understand the fundamentals of basketball shooting, but coming from another sport (hockey), the thing that stands out to me is how centered his body/weight is when he shoots. Thats a great recipe for sucess in any sport.
Melo plays like your cousin that figured out the 2k mechanics already and just keeps cooking your ass. Wasn’t sure if we’d ever get to see chino hills Melo
remember, he scored 100 points in a high school game in California. that was a pretty good sign he was gonna have a high ceiling. to score 100 in a So Cal high school game says something
He always was great once he had the ball in his hands. He just gets hurt every time he starts going off. He kills and idk how the hornets will hold onto him
once he polishes his finishing and interior pace/post moves a lil more (like sga, brunson or kyrie if you see what i mean) i don’t see what’s stopping him from being a 6’7 steph curry nbs
This narrator of this post never played basketball competitive before. LaMelo Ball's game is all-star level easy if he is not injured, this causal don't know what he is talking about.
@oldenoughtowatchify yeah because you suck at it and nobody wants to watch you do it, unlike lamelo who bith doesn't suck at it and does have people who want to watch him
Sooo Melo is quick but not at all a good athlete. Sucks moving his hips on D, he’s 6’6+ and might get 5 dunks per year max. I love Melo, he’s one of my favorite players but as far as nba athleticism he’s pretty mid. He’s got an amazing iq, vision, and as unorthodox as it is his shot is wet.
Bro plays like he’s got some AirPods in
Lmaoooo 😂
😂😂
Fxcts!!
He plays how D Lo wanna play if D Lo had talent. 😂
😂😂 too much in the zone
Melo plays like he’s in slides at a ymca open run
This shit is EASY for him I feel like that’s a testament to how good he is
But he’s not… pleas recognize
@@timmojennings pls watch him play 😂😂
On god 😂 he always looks like he’s gonna slip but his speed gets him through
You’d have to be a real life hooper to know what this means 😂🤣
You can tell he had freedom growing up. But there are fundamentals he has worked on in his game. He plays best in motion and it’s beautiful to watch.
he's insane. the only thing seperating him from being one of the best guards is his ability to play off two feet
Yeah allot of that comes back to him being a little more patient in the paint
I think he is one of the best guards bro
and his lack of defensive effort and his durability
Doesn’t matter. He makes almost all his shots and is dropping 25+ to 30 pt games a night back to back with straight threes in a row… is accuracy is crazy
And injuries
He reminds me of shai if instead of a dominant mid range maestro he’s just a 3 point demon 😭 that ankle flexibility on that snatch back and his ability to shoot anything he wants and find his spots is just beautiful
What about Penny?
He is good at midrange with his floater
Man that hornets team is actually going to be a problem in the future, with Melo, and Brandon Miller. Not to mention Mark Williams and Nick Richards.
Facts Tre Mann has also been hooping too
@@thekidshere6955I completely forgot they had Mann, he’s been doing great since being moved from OKC.
nah bro, they are entertaining but they are not winning anything
Mf really said Nick Richards 🤣
Miles bridges?????
"He gang, I gang,..I fuck with his family." Brilliant.
“I fuck with him, that’s family” cmon bro

I’ve never seen anyone play like him before. He’s one of a kind. One of the all time greats in my opinion
I love how 40% 3P on 12 attempts per game is "pretty good" lmao
Because of law of average. HIs career is 38% shooting less. Now he shoots more but is able to hit more. Would you rather have Jalen Green? Right? It's absolutely filthy to hit that many on 40%, thought that was a weird way to put it.
He plays like how we did in high school gym class , not overthinking and just playing like he with the homies running pick up & it’s effective
been so good this year one of the best player to watch atm

Ja is way more than scoring....he's a playmaker.
If Melo had bounce and a dunk game he’d be Michael Jordan
If melo was more athletic he would be more penny to me than Jordan.
Y'all pathetic

He's easily the best passer in the league rn. Yes, even better than Nikola
Averaging 5 turnovers, interesting
@carterthom7911 beginning of season, just came back after not playing for a year....... try not to say dumb shit.......
trae young & luka are both better passers than melo
Jokic and trae averaging 11 assist and 4 turnovers.
While melo 6 assist to 4 turnovers.
Not good passer imo right now
terrible take. jokic, luka, even trae and hali are arguably better passers...
Watching this looks like a sharpshooter in 2k17 smh 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
hes flickin right and pulling up🤣
Im just happy hes healthy 😅 ball could be an all star every year and going to break more records as long as he can stay fit
That’s the first product of new gen type of basketball
Great video
Melo the least stressed out person i ever seen
You should see the game against magic. He turned everything you talked about up to 11.
One of my favorite players in the league rn
Melo plays like your cousin that figured out the 2k mechanics already and just keeps cooking your ass. Wasn’t sure if we’d ever get to see chino hills Melo
Ive never seen lamelo doing pull up jumper while dribbling to the right
He doesn't want to get injured which is the reason for picking up his dribble when driving to the basket

92 never 100
pls do jeremy sochan breakdown he is mip candidate this year
Dont like his personality but he is an amazing player
Dude playing like he at a pick up game at LA fitness
Poetry in motion he plays like a artist .. love for the game
He's a good baller but he's prone to injury. All those growth drugs or whatever they use, leave them weak
why do you say he used drugs?
Its nor a carry on paper. Its totally legal.
I mean his last name is Ball
Doesn’t matter what the shooting form looks like if it goes in
Plays how my 2k player used to
i am lay, so , i don´t understand why they call his style of game ''unorthodox'', besides his shotting, what else is strange?
bro plays like hes lazy but its working
He oddly can make a shot with one leg little to no jump shot. Its not a jumpshot but just a tip toe shot. I tried it its hard.
he play like he was on 2k. Iykyk
Mikhail Tal of Basketball
Great break down. Lamelo is a future all NBA. He needs help though. Charlotte sucks
Pocket dribble would be a carry but since it’s never called I guess abuse it
hes like this every start of the season he just get injured too much
If mello can get some training with drose could help him learn to play more controlled basketball 🏀
what do you mean by ''controlled''?
@@franciscolucasdesouza8359he may mean more “efficient”, example I guess is how kyrie does Less to get to a spot now.
