Kyrie, this level of talent, untouchable, this level of experience as a player and person, he can be any role he wants on a team. Whenever he decide to be that element, he can be a factor that other’s can’t fulfill the way he does.
I love how these KD fans are trying to argue that he’s a more complete scorer. All I got to say is can KD do a high school 3 ball left handed floater over a 7 footer to win the game like Kyrie did? I don’t think so.
That kyrie shot 54% in the midrange and the only place that kyrie hasn’t been good from yet in this season so far is the midrange, he’s shooting 39% in the midrange so far but to be fair to him he was like 17% from the midrange in like the first 11 games, so he’s gradually brought it up. Kyrie from 2017 to 2024 has shot somewhere between 46% and 50% in the midrange so I believe he’ll bring it up.

Kyrie issues, imo, are that he can sometimes over dribble, and or that he sometimes settles for tough/contested shots, when he can definitely make a move and get to the rim
@ yes but let’s be real at what point has kyrie ever shot that efficiently, his numbers will even out like everyone’s do, kyrie is by far one of the most skilled players ever, but he’s not gonna keep these splits, especially considering the amount of”tough/contested” shots he takes
@@johnredelfs6115kyrie last season had splits of 50/41/90. Kyrie since 2017 averages 25.6/4/6 on 49/40/90. @ oh for sure in no way am I meaning to say he’s not one of the greatest tough shot makers ever, all I’m saying is it is a lot easier to have dips in efficiency when you settle, which he can sometimes have a bad habit of doing, tough shots are part of the game but forced tough shots are what kill you, for example look at kyrie in the finals last season he was forced into a lot of tough shots and he had probably the worst stretch of games I’ve ever seen from him
@@johnredelfs6115I would argue the tough shotmakers are more valuable in the 4th quarter in the playoffs then players like a giannis, lebron, Zion, magic, shaq and others. In the playoffs defenses take away the rim, and the three. They give you floaters from like 7-10ft and the midrange. Before the finals in the first 3 rounds he averaged 23/4/5 on 48/42/83 splits. So the tough shots were fine at that point, he just went cold in the finals(in TD Garden). He still averaged 28 at home in the finals. Some times you just need a guy that can get you a tough bucket especially in the playoffs when points start becoming harder to come by.
Kyrie Irving is likely to go down in history as one of the most underrated basketball players, particularly for his controversial views on the Flat Earth theory, the existence of lands beyond the poles, sun gods, and the Illuminati. This has drawn significant attention, and it seems those in powerful positions were very upset. However, over his lifetime, Kyrie generated approximately $10 billion for the teams he played for, which may be why he wasn’t met with the same fate as Kobe Bryant.🙏🙏🙏💯
Kyrie's weakness comes when he starts over dribbling, giving the defense more time to figure out his rhythm. So far, he's doing a good job of keeping that in check. Hopefully he can continue doing that even in the big moments in the playoffs.
I disagree, kyrie has matured his game since leaving Cleveland, he’s scoring off the ball more, face up midrange jumpers, triple threat threes, and he’s good in the post with either hitting fadeaways in the post or playing bully ball against smaller defenders. He was also solid in the playoffs, in the first 3 rounds he averaged 23/4/5 on 48/42/83 splits and even if you include the finals averaged 22/4/5 on 47/39/85 splits. He’s always played good in the playoffs. In 2015,2016,2017,2021, and 2022 his playoffs true shooting percentage has been above the playoff league average and in 2024 it was exactly neutral due to his finals skewing his overall efficiency. So this means he’s been objectively above the league average efficiency in the playoffs pretty much every year besides 2019. So his play style clearly doesn’t effect his play.
