  • Tucking is one of the foundational skills of harp playing. It helps us give a smooth, flowing sound, helps us play at speed and helps co-ordinate two hands playing together. This is the first in a series of 3 videos working on the skill of tucking.
In this first part I look at the very basic principal of tucking and we work on the skill in a more stationary position.
These videos are taken from a live session I gave as part of the FREE Christmas Harp Collaboration 2022. And is now available in my membership site, which you can be part of too! The membership includes:
Technique Bank full of exercises, warm-ups and full technique courses to make sure you are making the best sound possible, as well as looking after your body!
Tune Bank with a wide variety of tune genre - Celtic, classical, film, pop and seasonal, with every tune taught at three levels.
Extra teaching including guest tutors, beginner sessions, healthy practice, masterclasses and more.
Learning Pods giving you a smaller, more intimate space to make friends and share your learning journey.
Fully qualified tutor - that would be me! - I have a degree, postgraduate performance diploma and a masters. I'm also the current Principal Scottish Harp Tutor at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

This is awesome! You see a lot of exercises out there for the harp but I have not seen any on this topic. Thank you so much!
