Thank you for adding me to your channel. 😊 I really missed you and your family. My son's and I can relate to your life. My sons are hunters, too. You have moose. We have white tail deer. We have a garden, and next spring, we're going to get baby hens to raise for eggs. God bless you all. 😊
I LOVE watching family getting together! The hustle and bustle and everyone helping just makes my heart melt! Watching the whole bee process through the summer has been very informative. It's a lot more work than I imagined. I have a better appreciation for the bee farmers for sure.
So glad family got together. I remember get together like that when I was a kid. Your kids will remember this. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to trying your recipe.
Y’all have done a very good job with your 🐝 bees and your garden is Beautiful great work Lauren and family ❤❤❤❤You look gorgeous in your beautiful Dress…. I love it 🥰
We have bees also , we are in Minnesota, it was a late spring and so dry here , so not a lot of flowers by august 1st. We harvested our honey last weekend and we got about 200 pounds, half of what we usually see . We de-cap our own and we have a centrifuge, then we strain and bottle it , it’s a big job 😂 then into 1.5 pound bear bottles . Good luck !
I miss family get togethers. I dont have much family left. Of course i have my kids and grandchildren but ive lost 7 siblings and only have a sister in Florida and a brother near me in central NY but I dont see him much. 😢It gets lonely.I also lost 2 grandchildren. A boy 2 months old and a girl 6 years old.I live by myself with my boxer Rocky. Today is labor day and I'm here doing nothing. Love your videos and family. Take care and god bless .
Hopefully you harvest a bit this season. Weather really didn't help in most regions this year. I suggest you grow purple salva. Start in April inside. You can add sunflower, geraniums among other flowers around the home. They like to travel to collect and bumblebees love salva and won't kill honeybees. They will rid yellow jackets and wasps. So glad Mark had time with his sister. The boys are getting old enough for a jump across the pond. Consider finding bargains from NY to save$$. Enjoy your Labor Day weekend🌻
I’m sure you know how blessed you are to have a family like yours. I understand your kids are still so young but it’s beautiful to see. You just don’t see it much anymore. Always love your videos.
I honestly check for your videos first thing and am so excited when I see one!! Thanks for the glimpse into your world. Truly an amazing family! And Lauren love that Sunday dress 🙌🏻. Blessings from our family to yours 🙏🏻❤️
So kinda like a "Date Night " with the Bee's!! I loved seeing you both together working. It was sweet. Some of the sweetest conversations with my Husband when he was fixing the car or lawn mower. Looks like the Bee's will give you a Harvest, and to me, that is a Win. I recently came upon a sweet Honey chili Sauce. I will send you a bottle. They put it on their roasted Brussel Sprouts. It was a little different than Sweet Chili sauce. Stickier, it made it more caramelized. With those Bowls it might make a nice topping. Did you ever think about making Raspberry salad dressing for your salads? I just love Harvest time, like the Bee's my mind starts buzzing. Lauren you are so beautiful during Harvest time. You look energized and excitingly happy. I loved seeing all the Kids cooking. And Hunter, you are an Amazing Fisherman. Hunter is growing up so Fast. Keep being a great oldest Brother. Big hugs and Love to you All.
I'm happy to see that those hardworking bees produced some honey for you-the 'fruits of your labor'😊🐝A lovely family get-together and delicious food!! Blessings!!🙏💙
I enjoyed seeing you pick the berries though it made me a little sad bcs my Mom & Dad raised black raspberries and we had to sell the family house last year so no more. berries. Nothing beats fresh berries.
On his videos he makes a type of bread that is pre-made (out of a baggie) that he mixes with water then puts the dough in a pan and cooks for a short time. By the way, I like the bees that you guys are raising.
Your veggies are large and fresh. I was amazed at the size of veggies in Alaska when I was there years ago. Let us know how much honey you harvested. Watching you all work with bees is my favorite. Could watch all day.❤
Hi Friends, we enjoyed this summer series so much. Loved following along with the bees. Can't wait to see the fruits of your labour and what this harvest tastes like. Thank you for sharing 😊
I've only been watching your channel for a little bit, but I'm rather intrigued by the beehives. I'd love to see one from start to finish next year. Maybe you'll have better luck.
They have done this one from start to finish this year, but it's spread across a lot of videos. Maybe Lauren might do a Bee playlist or let you know the video of the start of this lot 👍
Hey Lauren and Mark!☺️ What happens to your bees when the weather gets cold there? Where do they go? ...or do you all move them somewhere warm? This is very enlightening! Thank you for always sharing something informative with us.
We will explain in our harvest video but they can winter over in the hive. It is tricky if it gets too cold without snow to insulate them enough. We have had successful years of wintering them over and some years they don't make it.
The bees are so interesting to watch. I'm interested on how you would harvest the honey with the bees being so active. KEEP THE BEES PLS!!! No talipia farming. I'd rather to seed any other project. Lol. I noticed so many of the fish used on many of the fish products use tilapia instead of the fish products used in the past. I love fish but would rather have cod. I love watching your blog, it is so interesting!
I was nervous when I saw all those bees swarming around you and Mark. I'm allergic to bee stings. I would have been on the balcony, yelling at y'all to be careful lol
We make bowls similar to yours. We use salmon, chicken or steak. I mix the BBQ sauce with Mayo for a creamier sauce. It’s a family favorite for us as well.
I really love watching the bees and am a total honey freak. However, I'm extremely allergic to bee stings. I am actually almost having a panic attack just watching! But still love it!
Good day to you and your family . Today here in Sacramento California I'm enjoying the rain which the summers are pretty hot here. I always enjoy all your videos Yesterday I watched a bunch from when you guys went to Hawai are your camping trips your RV trips.
You have barely had a summer this year, I am amazed your veggies and fruit have done so well. Shame you haven't had much honey this year, but it certainly looks like a good hobby. I live 65km outside of Adelaide in Australia and we are just coming into Spring.
That's what I thought, too. When I mentioned that we were close to harvesting our produce here in Wisconsin and theirs was barely growing, she told me that her videos were taped up to 5 weeks prior to us seeing them😮
I vote no on tilapia. You have such great wild caught fish in Alaska and have a great time catching them. Farm raised fish is never as good, especially a bottom feeder like tilapia. Some foreign countries feed them poop! Needless to say, I never eat it, especially from a restaurant. Never know where it comes from. Love Alaska, love your videos, love your family values!
I wouldn't harvest any honey just yet. You need to leave 50% for the bees to make it through winter. It's time to feed your bees, they're hungry. Hopefully, they will thrive and not just survive. Good luck!!
Love salmon and thank you for the recipe. I usually only bake it. Only buy salmon like once or twice a month because it's not cheap here. Buy other fish during it's season like atulai, manahak or ee. Love fish. Your raspberries look good. Thanks for sharing. Hafa adai and love from the island of Guam 🌴❤🌴
Shabbat Shalom Hamm Family ❤️ It's an overcast, rainy day... a bit cooler, 76°F at the moment. Beats yesterday's sun-scorching hot-humid 92°F 🥵 Lauren, I pray you and the twins are doing well. You look radiant 🤰🤰 Welcome home Mark and Hunter. So happy you made it home safely 🛩️ Nice broccoli. Can't wait to grow my own. Prepare a simple warm dressing: butter, thinly sliced shallots, garlic chips, fresh parsley and a little finishing salt and cracked pepper... fresh Parmesan if you like. Pour over and mix with steamed or blanched broccoli. Mmmm 🥦 Hi Miss Luna. She looks adorable. Has she curled up on your belly yet? A friend's cat, Rusty, began snuggling up on her belly, more than usual and consistently, after she became pregnant. Purred and mewed, made biscuits, slept peacefully and followed her everywhere. Now, that her baby boy is born, the cat won't leave his side. That lil boy belongs to Rusty now 😻 The bees look and sound a bit annoyed. Glad you'll get a little honey and that the queens are doing well. Poor little warrior bee protecting her hive. It's sad that they die after stinging 🐝 Nice potato patch 🥔 We have friends that did tilapia farming in one of their greenhouses; did quite well. Sadly, after the husband passed away unexpectedly, she sold the tilapia and the equipment. We considered buying it, but the timing was off, and we were still dealing with the unexpected loss of a dear friend 😢 Raspberries - I used to not be a fan. Still not my favorite berry, but as I've aged they've grown on me. I need an extra flavor added, like another fruit, in a smoothie, chocolate or other ingredient. Currently, at our grocery store here in Virginia, raspberries go for: 12oz for $6 and 6oz for $3 🥧 I miss my blueberry bushes and strawberry patch at our old house. We plan on planting them here at the "new" house after 9 years. We do have wild berries growing along the tree line. Sweet and juicy. They also attract birds, deer, a bear and even our fox family, on occasion 🫐🍓 Awesome salmon Hunter - looks good. I bet it made a delicious meal. Salmon rice bowls are a good choice. Recipe: ✅ Rhubarb... hmmm... I'm still on the fence. Any suggestions? 🤔 I love the noise that is a Family get-together. Goodbyes are always bittersweet, especially when your time together is few and far between, even moreso, when a great distance is between. I pray everyone made it home safely 🏡 Looking forward to more honey and raspberry adventures. Have a great school year fellas. Take care and Yah's Blessings 🤗
id stick with the bees. tilapia..not sure why anyone eats that nasty fish 😂. Your potatoes look fine. i got about 120 lbs from mine this summer. just pulled the rest, blue and red potatoes, they definitely dont produce like the others, in quantity or size. but it was cool to try them. enjoy your last summer days. theyre definitely numbered for us all. ❤

Hi, was wondering why boxes were stacked by 2. Heard Mark say he sometimes add boxes. Why not one layer? After you harvest honey, bees have enough time to make honey for winter or you feed them🐝? Cold weather is OK for bees? TX

Bees are kind of like chickens for me. So much work that I am not at all interested in doing it myself as long as I have access to good quality products like eggs. I can’t even see that they are saving money over purchasing at the store. For me, I might go through less than a dozen eggs a week so buying free range eggs is less expensive than buying chicken feed and I don’t have all the work. Same with honey. I don’t use all that much in a year so buying good quality is a lot cheaper than trying to produce my own. But I am old and work long hours so it’s a question of where I want to spend my precious leisure w. If I enjoyed those activities then it would be different. Or, if I didn’t have access to them otherwise, etc. However, I am a person who will spend $500 trying to grow a good quality home grown tomato. 🤣🤣🤣 Partially because I just have to garden at least a little and also because I can’t buy the equivalent in taste. So, if it’s something you do as a hobby and you enjoy it, it doesn’t matter that it’s more expensive and a lot more work to do it yourself.
Thank you for adding me to your channel. 😊 I really missed you and your family. My son's and I can relate to your life. My sons are hunters, too. You have moose. We have white tail deer. We have a garden, and next spring, we're going to get baby hens to raise for eggs. God bless you all. 😊
Glad the moose and bears are staying out of the raspberry bushes.
We have had a black bear visit recently but he is just interested in trying to open our bear trash can! Darn bear!

Good evening Lauren and Mark and family and thank you for sharing your beautiful day 🌞 😊
Luna is the sweetest kitty! Love her green eyes!
Mark your humor regarding raising fish in your back yard is the best. Wife needs not to roll her eyes🤣
I think y’all are doing a great job raising those handsome boys !! 😀😀😀😀😀😀
You all work together in the kitchen like a well oiled machine. Lovely get together
So glad family got together. I remember get together like that when I was a kid. Your kids will remember this. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to trying your recipe.

Yes to everything you said. Thankfully Mark was joking about the tilapia, we will stick with what we can catch wild 😝
Oh, ick!!! Good to know though😮
What happens to the bees while and after you remove the honey? It’s all so interesting and I love honey, thanks for sharing!
Exactly what I was going to ask. What happens to the bees when you take the honey?
Very interesting! ❤❤❤ Raspberries!❤
I love the bee making process not sure I would want to do it. Never knew what it took😳will be interested when harvesting it comes
I wouldn't harvest any honey just yet. You need to leave 50% for the bees to make it through winter. It's time to feed your bees, they're hungry. Hopefully, they will thrive and not just survive. Good luck!!
We supplement immediately with sugar water at harvest time. This year is a little different, we will explain in a follow up video.

My mom's raspberry pie was my all time favorite, but I HATED having to pick them!!
Lovely vlog xx

Hi Lauren and family
Keep the bees. ❤

How do you know how much hunny to take and how much to leave for the bee's for winter food.
doing together u have someone to talk to ect if u plant more flowers in your yard or if u put bees in raspberry patch would u get more honey??

Are you going to show the harvesting of the honey? Would love to see it.
We will show what we can but we usually drop it off to be harvested.
roll of copper is bout 4in wide
Lovely video as usual!
diffently need more fruit trees for your eatting n bees
you always look so beautiful in that dress
❤
We’ve had an extremely bad summer in 🇬🇧 Uk also. It’s scary 😟
What do you do with all the honey you harvest?
Hi, was wondering why boxes were stacked by 2. Heard Mark say he sometimes add boxes. Why not one layer?
After you harvest honey, bees have enough time to make honey for winter or you feed them🐝? Cold weather is OK for bees? TX
What happens to the bees after the season I'm just curious 🤔
What temperature and for how long do we bake salmon? Thanks for sharing recipe!
We air fry for about 10 min at 400
Hi im from Canada i love watching your video ,just have a question in Alaska you need to buy fishing card ? and how much is a coast and it is a limit for fish thx
Please do Tilapia farming!
What happens to the bees once the honey is harvested
yummy raspberries! what do you make with them?
I have a video coming up of a few of the things... freezer jam, fruit leather, desserts, and freeze a bunch.
I'd love to see you have chicken again.
I couldn't help wondering what you will be doing with your bees after you take their honey? I heard in the news in Ontario a truck with a load of bee hives were being sent to winter elsewhere. Your bees are sent to you from CA, do you send them back with their queen? Also, what is the lifespan of bees?
Bees are kind of like chickens for me. So much work that I am not at all interested in doing it myself as long as I have access to good quality products like eggs. So, if it’s something you do as a hobby and you enjoy it, it doesn’t matter that it’s more expensive and a lot more work to do it yourself.
You’ve pretty much nailed it.
I see why you have people come to pick - you have a LOT of bushes😊
How much honey do you need to leave behind in order for the bees to survive their life cycle ? Also, do some of them survive the winter?
You need a full “deep” box of honey stores to get through a winter. That’s about 60 lbs of honey. We didn’t even get close this year.
