duuuuuudeee I just got a Digitakt which is my first piece of hardware and you by far explain everything better then anyone on the internet! your soooo easy to follow and understand! Love it thank you so much man
Just bought a Digitakt so I'm going through a ton of tutorials and everything I find online. Your tuts are very well made, clear and professional, so I put myself in line with all the others who are thanking you for this great work
Thanks for your careful and detailed tutorial. I have recently sold my Novagtion circuit tracks and got a digitakt- it feels like quite a jump! Getting my head around the workflow and possibilities of the digitakt is going to take some time and your help getting me up to spee faster is much appreciated.
Elegant cinematography, grading, camera work. Well spoken and articulate. Pleasant speaking tempo to listen to while still being very concise and clear. Super quality video, thanks a lot and very well done. Subscribed
I now have a much better understanding of the Trig Cons and I have book marked this page. However, the Neg NEI trig, still has me scratching my head...LOL I have tried so many times to read the Trig Con section in the Digitakt Manual......but to no avail......I was still confused. For me, it was like reading an actual Trigonometry book. Yikes! All kidding aside, knowing and understanding the Trig Cons are crucial to learning to use the Digitakt to it's fullest. Thank you Enrique
you’ve played a big part in my teaching me how to implement triggers, it’s one of the biggest things I’ve come to discover about the digitakt that separates it from any groove box or drum machine. I just made a dark Minimal set last night using multiple triggers per sample at different sections in a measure with different percentage triggers to give that randomization affect through the track which is insane, absolutely love it so a big BIG thank you for filling that chapter for me.
Dude, as someone who's dyslexic you really do an incredible job of explaining complex features in a way that is easy to digest. THANK YOU for this. Also, I tried your Blazin' Burgers 'N Fried Chicken recommend from another video and I've gotta say that I wasn't too impressed, haha. Have you tried Monty's Good Burger yet?
Very cool man. I think you forget to mention the coolest thing about the TRIG page, and this would be the two empty square boxes on the right :D They give room, room for hope that Elektron is maybe planing something very sweet for those two empty boxes, but, we don't know, but at least we can hope and this makes me feel good every time i see those two empty square boxes. But thanks for your videos. I'd love to see the Mono Station with the Digitakt in action.
Hey Enrique - as always, your videos are a pleasure to watch. Beautifully shot, clearly explained, to the point. 👌 A quick question, how do I stop trig cutting off the previous trig when playing longer samples? They are (kind of) choking atm, and I want them to overlap. (It’s a sustained chord sample)
ANY WOMEN HERE? I must say I truly enjoy your explaining of the digitakt, but sometimes the copy-pasting seems so fast, I can't keep up. Is there a video that explains that step by step? thank you! you're dope. I really hope to see more women watch your videos so that we can all jam and be as diverse as the people enjoying the music.
I'm just starting out on the DT as well, but from what I can tell is copy/ paste works by holding TRIG and REC to copy a track and then TRIG and PLAY to paste that track to another track. Hope that helps...
thanks for all the good Digitakt info, on separate subject, Enrique, besides using the external inputs for sampling, can one use the inputs for live monitoring of line level instrument, in my case Volca FM ? I’ve heard all audio gets summed to Mono, Volca FM is Mono, anyways; but I would like to know if can work w/Digitakt and at same time have Volca FM being heard ? hence not having to have a separate mixer
I wanted to make a drone, a midi note that begins at the first step of a pattern, and then this pattern repeats a few times, and when the pattern changes, this note is turned off. How do I do this? I set that note to INFinite length, and 1st condition, the drone begins allright, but then, it keeps playing forever even after the song ends. I can't turn it off unless I press the panic button on my midi router. It's such a simple thing, but frustratingly I can't figure out how to do it. Looks like it's not even possible.
Understand hardware is a theme of your channel. But do you know if a feature like this is available in Ableton or another DAW? Maybe a DAW video would be interesting too? X
Nice tut! question - is there a way to always record from the beginning when live recording with a preroll, rather than starting to record from where i stopped in the track previously? hope that makes sense..
I didn't understand the FLT.T and the LFO.T, I thought that if you turned them off, the filter and LFO pages were not applying for those triggers, like turned filter and LFO off, but it's something else that I haven't figured out, yet. I will give it a try later :)
is it possible to trigger things across multiple tracks at once ? like trigger a fill on every track that has one conditioned with just pressing the page button?
Thank you! I was afraid to buy the Digitakt so late that it might be unwise because it is already a year old and maybe there will be a new one. Didn't expect your videos! Very happy! Is there a way on the Digitakt to hold a "gate" for a lot of trigs? I have an analog synth connected and want it to just hold its notes. Haven't found that yet, but the Digitakt Quick Guide is the most boring and worst made manual I have ever read for an instrument. The Moog ones are a lot nicer to read and learn while doing so.
yes, its the hold parameter, that'll set how long the note is held. instead of having it set to max set it to 32, or 64, etc. see how it affects the synth. that's how long the gate it held open
Hey man, I was looking for a way to contact you directly but i guess here is the closest i can. first off great quality videos man, great job killing it! I have a technical question about the digitakt, if you hook its midi out into its in and start mapping midi CC values per step or i guess parameter locks on the midi channel controlling the corresponding sample track, which would also have parameter locks, which parameter lock would have higher authority? I have this idea in my mind about a digitakt hack but i dont actually own one, i'd love to know the results of that test... if you wanna maybe talk more about my hack idea just let me know.
funny you should ask, i tried this out one day but not to see which P-locks had priority. I couldn't get something to work correctly but i believe i've seen it done before! I'll have to try again.
Elektron should license these tutorials from you. You are an excellent teacher, thank you for the time you put in
thanks man! Hope the video helped :)
this aged well
duuuuuudeee I just got a Digitakt which is my first piece of hardware and you by far explain everything better then anyone on the internet! your soooo easy to follow and understand!
Love it thank you so much man
You are the only one to explain conditional triggers that have confused me from the start. 👍
THANK YOU. Please keep making Digitakt videos. These are the most informative and easy to follow I've come across.
Just bought a Digitakt so I'm going through a ton of tutorials and everything I find online. Your tuts are very well made, clear and professional, so I put myself in line with all the others who are thanking you for this great work
You sir, continue to be The Man. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Thanks for these videos. Just took the plunge on the digitakt and im still getting used to the interface. It's much different than my electribe.
What a great tutorial Enrique. Just got my Digitakt a couple of days ago, learning so much from you. Thanks a lot!

Couldn't agree more!
Really enjoying these Digitakt tutorials, man. Well explained, lots of useful info and easy to follow. Thanks for making them - and keep em coming!
As a new Elektronaut recruit, this has been essential for me. Thanks man, peace ✌️
"The dudes at Elektron are insane to even think of something like that." LMAO
I can see using this for drums and percussion. Thanks for the tip. Loving this machine the more you break it down!
Try putting hi hats on all steps and adding different trig condition percentages to each step. It'll never be the same haha
Dear Mr. Tinez. Thank you very much for explaining. You helped me a lot! You'r videos are super good! All the best from Switzerland
Thank you for this one. clear and straight to the point. I was thinking to purchase Digitakt or OP-Z, this vid made me want the digitakt.
Thanks for demystifying this beast
And as always I have learned something from a master of his craft and just a cool dude. Thank man
Great vid super informative as usual.
Your videos are potentially the best DTakt vids on the web!
Everyone w a DTak needs to sub!
Thank you for your great videos. Calm, cool, collected. Informative!

Thanks for this! I’m new to Elektron so this at 1/2 playback speed is easing my Syntakt ramp up.
Thanks for putting up the video - it was difficult to work out what you were saying as the synth played constantly though .
Super helpful tutorial! Was having some difficulty figuring out the various TRIG functions on my new Digitakt.
i understand them now.. but i still don't understand them at times haha. If that even makes sense. They're so crazy

"SEE YOU LATER OSCILLATOR". fucking awesome
❤
Love your videos. You do a real service for us newbies!
Thanks for watching Doron! Appreciate the comments
A.m.a.z.i.n.g. You rock man! Thank you for such a simple and very helpful explanation.
Glad you enjoyed the video, thanks Jorge
Yo you're really putting in some good work for this little unit man. I bought a hat just to support you bro.
Cya later oscillator.
wow! Thank you for that!! Suuuper appreciate it.
Support this brother! Excellent content. I just ordered a black hat 👍👍
my man! thanks for the support. it means a lot
Enrique Martinez heck yeah Ricky. You are providing excellent value for Elektron users. I was sporting my hat today while chilling with the family. 🙏🙏
Awesome video, I don't own a Digitakt nor did I know about it before this video but this was super interesting to watch!
Absolute genius videos!!! Though I’m impress by the Digitakt’s buttons sound. They really seems hard and loud.

Thanks for this video. Simple and effective. Another one on Midi ? .. With a Keystep ??.. . It would be helpful.

i knoooowww, hopefully soon. I'm sure they got a bigger project on their hands first (OverBridge) haha
i'm a beta tester for OB, yesterday i had my first gig with OB and it is dope!
Thnx @ricky_tinez would love to see an video off the filter page!
coming right up!
How about a video with the MPC and Digitakt playing together?
Hey Enrique - as always, your videos are a pleasure to watch. Beautifully shot, clearly explained, to the point. 👌

It seems like I never see any dislikes on your videos. You must be doing something right
im trying im trying!!
Your tutorials are great. Well done bruv. Big up’s.
Thanks man!

Stay 💯 G!

great explanation! finally I understand the PRE and NEI modes. :P
next tutorial: mute modes pleeeease ;)
You got me at see you later oscillator! 😀
Understand hardware is a theme of your channel. But do you know if a feature like this is available in Ableton or another DAW? Maybe a DAW video would be interesting too? X
The feature is available in DAWs and plugins actually! Fun to use as well I just love my hardware :)
Nice tut!

It would be cool to see a tutorial on switching samples via triggers and sample pool.
Thank you for this!!!
Saving up for one hell yeah.
I would love to see how these trig conditions work with hip hop drums
Use it for your percs to add a little splash of ear candy along with the main beat
How do you clear the conditional trigger or set it back to 100%? Thanks
Awesome.
What did you do at 1:23 to make what you played in chromatic loop like that?
What kind of gear were u using before u got into elektron
thank you for your wisdom
thanks for your patience, views, and the support!
Well explained !
You need to make a conditions video
Just bought a DT, can’t seem to link it up to my Roland System 1. Any ideas anyone please?
Thanks!!!
I
Thanks for this!!

like a note sustaint? basically on and off? does your analog synth have midi in?
Enrique Martinez yes, a sustain over more than 1 beat. The Mother-33 has midi in but only basic controls via midi.
yes, its the hold parameter, that'll set how long the note is held. instead of having it set to max set it to 32, or 64, etc. see how it affects the synth. that's how long the gate it held open
Is there even a hold parameter on the MIDI tracks 9-16? Can't find it.
Your brilliant!

Sweet ! !
That Amazon link points to a phone cover

there's a jack in the headphone out and left out😄
Ive never seen this dude in a well lit room. Ha
Excellent once more
Thanks Jason!
This video should have contained a trigger warning.
This thing is clicky
