LOL Okay!! We Finally mixed the Halo-Halo here! ua-cam.com/users/shortsTSuBBVzCJZQ Did we do it right?
you supposed to mix the whole halo-halo thing. the actual translation for halo-halo in english is mix-mix
Yup!
Bro if your grandma sees you eating halo halo liked 😂😂😂 she will smack you both 😅😅😂
A lot of Filipino saying halo halo is mix mix in English but halo halo is also translated as assorted .
you finally figured it out... now you're making sense hahaha!
Haven't seen Matt laugh like that in a long time. It's good to see you so happy.
Yesss love to see it I was thinking the same thing ❤️
I thought they put something in the drink, the way he was laughing lol 🤣❤️
Same! They make me smile & laugh so much. Love them
Omg his laugh is contagious, I couldn't stop laughing. Yes we needed that!!!
Right? It really felt good to see him laugh
Actually with the halo-halo, the direct translation is mix-mix, so you were supposed to mix everything all together before eating it, the purple stuff is usually either ube icecream or ube yam, and ube is very similar to taro/purple yam. Love you guys! It's so cute how you make each other laugh ❤
to mix it thoroughly, shove the entire spoon, and thrust it up and down gently 😀😀😀
never thought that halo-halo should have a manual on how to properly eat it. it's a whole 180 when people don't mix.
Mix-mix is a butchered mistranslation. You don't translate word per word. It's more aptly translated as mixed-together.
@@odomisan nope. Halo-halo when used in different is aptly just 'mixed'
Looks so delicious! Have to find a store around me!
As a Filipino, I'm always excited to see people from other countries try Filipino food for the first time. It's a great way to share our culture and cuisine with the world.
We thoroughly enjoyed this!!!!:)
Why the corn drink tho!? That looked like: Nope!
@@selahs3110i don't think it's a drink tho, it's probably mais con yelo which is a dessert with corn, milk, sugar, and shaved ice (similar to halo-halo but only with the corn and w/o all of those ingredients)
@@vinny1013 🤷🏻♀️ I have no idea. But while I enjoy sweet corn 🌽 as part of my main/hot part of the meal for lunch or dinner... I can't imagine it in a drink. 😄
Fascinating the differences in cultures
@@selahs3110 corn shake actually taste amazing. Corn is very expensive in the Philippines. That is why Filipino just enjoy watching Americans eat Filipino they cant afford. Its not a dessert either, it is more like a drink or a snack. Dessert is a western concept.
I love how Matt has grown so immune to Glory throwing her whole entire being onto him while laughing - also her just hanging onto his neck at the end and not even the slightest reaction from him. He just flexes the neck to make sure he keeps grounded and she doesn't fall 😂😂
Them calling the okra asparagus had me crying 😂😂😂😂
I know, I'm yelling at the screen, "It's OKRA!!!!" 🤪
@@ebellyfish4256 same 🤣🤣🤣
😅
Yeah I was like that's not asparagus, you've never had asparagus I guess. That's okra.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 asparagus taste better
Filipino here! Used to be just a silent viewer ever since before you guys got married (out of context: can I just say that I really love Glory especially her laugh, her humor, the way she acts hahahahaha even when almost everyone hated the way she laugh way back then lol) so glad to see you making filipino-related content! ❤
Hi!!! Ahhh, means so much!!! Thank you!❤️❤️❤️
Matt's little wobble after Glory spoke gibberish from the lemonade had me cry laughing 😂
I totally vote for Matt to do a DNA test! Lol
When matty couldn’t stop laughing that was cute 😂❤ I love when they laugh hysterically together it’s so cute
I would honestly watch a video where you both do DNA test. And then you eat foods based on your research.
That's a great idea!!!
OMG YESS
Oh yes!!
ohhh i love this idea!!!
Yes!!!!
This is probably the first time I saw Matt laughing so much like fr. When Glory started speaking something when she drank the calamansi juice😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Omg I've never seen Matt laugh that hard it's usually Glory who's laughing uncontrollably 😂😂
Love this!! Please do a Filipino food part 2 video with your grandma on the phone explaining the dish 🤗 This time try lumpia, adobo and rice, and Kare Kare 🇵🇭
Lumpia is the only one I know how to make. My ex taught me back in my Navy days. It's delicious 😋
I agree. I was waiting for the lumpia.
Omg I cried so hard at Rice. That Hemonade had her speaking in tougues. I rewind it so many times. Thanks for the laugh guys. My side hurts.
saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame hahahahahaha
😂😂😂😂😂
Since Matt is part Indian too, next time try Indian food. I've been following your channel since that night during pandemic when I came across one video where Glory attempted k pop blue hair on Matt. My sister was sleeping beside me and I had to laugh so hard but i couldn't so I was laughing quietly until I was breathless. You know how that is. Since then I fell in love with this channel. Keep going guys love your content! ❤️
I love that matt lets glory be herself!! She be falling all over him and he just lets it happen😂😂😂❤❤❤
He’s used to it now 😂
SHE"S SO FUNNYYYY!!! love how enthusiastic she is!
Glory’s reaction always makes me laugh 😂 Halo halo in tagalog means “mix” so you’re supposed to mix it so you can have everything in one bite as well as for the “mais con yelo” AND yeah, Filipinos love sweets that’s why 😅😉 Love you guys!! ❤🇵🇭
EXACTLY!! HAHAHAHA Glory, the next time you eat halo halo, mix everything pleasee hahaha
They hatin on the Mais Con Yelo but they didn't even eat it right. They be tasting just the ice and milk unmixed 😭
13:09 had me in TEARS with Glory clapping and running back and forth🤣
Glory stomping back and forth while clapping after the corn drink SENT ME LMFAOOO
The episode I’ve been waiting for!!!! Thanks for trying Filipino food slice and rice ❤️❤️
By the way, that was not asparagus, its an okra aka lady fingers. The pinakbet with lechong kawali is best paired with rice that’s why it’s a salty. The garlic fried rice with beef and egg is called Tapasilog. Halo-halo which means mix-mix, so you have to mix everything first before eating it lol.But overall, thank you for trying our food. Mais con yelo, again you need to mix everything before you eat it so you can taste all the flavors. The calamansi juice though is good for relieving cough (if you make it as a hot beverage) and it’s very refreshing. But seeing your reactions though is very hilarious. I do hope you can try Filipino desserts next haha.
Sending love from the Philippines!!! God bless to you and your fam Slice and Rice 🫶🏼❤️
WOWWW thank you! Wish we knew all of this before trying 🤣🤣🤣🤣❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for this comment! I had to screenshot for future reference. I have never eaten Filipino food before. This video inspired me to try it. Your comment will come in handy. ❤
@@nicoleraheem1195 you’re welcome ☺️ 🫶🏼
Btw Glory that purple stuff is Ube and yes you can get a cup of it by itself.
For Glory - the purple ice cream is Ube flavored. It's very similar to taro, so you were correct there (:
If you're not grossed out by what taro flavoring comes from, then you wouldn't be grossed out by what ube flavoring comes from!
Filipinos put ube in a lot of different desserts since they also sell an extract at any asian market (they also sell the ice cream there too). You can put it in cakes and stuff, I've even made coconut sticky rice with it. I highly recommend trying "Ube Putos" (yes this is a filipino desert, LOL).
love you guys
I love it in bread. That was yummy
The Filipino lemonade just took over her 😂😂😂 I've never rewind a video so many times
The part when they ate the ube ice cream on the Halo halo and Glory expressing her reaction to the ice cream and Matthew’s reaction to Glory had me dying😂😂😂 “it taste just like milk” lmao
Sorry I meant Matt***
As a Filipino the Halo-Halo was supposed to be mixed, hence the name "halo" in Filipino it means to mix. But you guys were so fun to watch. Especially the part where glory went to a different dimension and came back in split seconds after tasting the lemonade. 😂
yeah that shook me, I think they should put an instruction for someone's that's new to the halo-halo dessert hahahahah..
@@zachzoldyck1796 i think we should have instruction manuals for foreigners when they're about start eating filipino food not just halo-halo😅😂
@@justineallandevelos6491 yup, hahaha... coz sometimes I've heard from them that our food is bland and they don't know how to eat it or what should be paired with that kind of food so that it would taste better. We kinda paired our food based on what we grew up with or our preferences. But for most, I don't want our food to change drastically just to fit the western's taste like what they did to sushi, pasta, pizza, tacos, burritos etc. It will not be authentic at all rather than a fusion or westernized.
the purple ice cream in the halo-halo is a ube ice cream. you also have to mix it before eating it. So happy to see u guys try one of our famous dessert
Being half Pinay and being raised 100% Filipino, I really enjoyed this episode
I went to the Philippines for a holiday with my da around 3 months ago and we had a meal I think it was called Sisig and OMG it was the best food I've ever eaten I was in love. Also, yalls laughs are so contagious thank you so much for the video
Sisig is bomb it’s my favorite. They should try it for sure next time!
Did you eat it in Pampanga? Coz it tastes better where it originally came from.
The lemonade was so good, that Glory started talking the language. ❤
15:35 O'MAAH'LE 😂😂 That cracked me up too :D Poor Matt almost peed from laugh and I'm crying 🤣🤣
I love how willing you are to try different cultures foods! Loving the content. You guys are doing great
Nothing triggers a Filipino the most than when they watch someone eat a halo halo without mixing it.
Its like an italian watching someone breaking a spaghetti pasta in half
Watching Matt have a laugh attack made me have a laugh attack just watching him and I couldn’t stop rewinding to laugh some more😂😂😂❤
Oh MY GOSH!! My husband and I just had the exact “he’s him” conversation like 2 days ago!! I had Glory’s same reaction while he explained what it meant. That’s wild 😂
That was hilarious! Glory short circuited after tasting the lemonade, and then broke Matty! I love a good laugh that makes you cry.
Best comment ever lol😂
goshhh yesss, i've been waiting for you guys to try filipino food since that one video you guys mentioned Matt's grandmother is half filipino!!! thank you for this, you guys are still such a joy to watch 💓💓
-that pinakbet dish is a dish on its own, generally a lot of veggies with shrimp paste and so is lechon kawali which is the pork toppings, its just the restaurant perhaps combined those dishes to serve something different.
Pleaseeee I was on the floor laughing after Glory's reaction to the lemonade 😂😂 I can't watch any of your videos without laughing my head off! 🥰💕 Please try Haitian food next!
The WAY Glory pacing back and forth while clapping is so FUNNY😂😂😂😂
Marty laughing uncontrollably is hilarious 😂😂😂
😂😂😂at first I was like, who is Marty? Lol
@@msdawndawn8me too😂😂😂😂😂
He did a Glory!! 😂🤣
I love when glory just throws herself on Matt and he just continues on lol ❤
glorys gargle laugh followed by the clap and hunch walk combo at 13:03 took me clean out😂😂😂
😂😂😂
I totally agree with the reaction of the Pancit noodles! My friend is Filipino so every time we go over her house for a party, I go nuts for those noodles! The first time I had them, I couldn't stop eating them! My plate would be full of the noodles and I would go back at least 3 times! 🤣🤣
Never knew you had part Filipino in your blood! I love it 🫶
Glory definitely enjoyed the calamansi drink. The filipino spirit was taking over. I'm Korean and I've tried the dishes you guys did except for the last three drinks. Halo Halo is my favorite desert. Lechon is really good. Think thick cut bacon but deep fried and then a nice vinegar sauce with it. Pinakbet is also good but I prefer no bitter melon in it.
I was having a hard day and now I’m laughing 😂 what a fun video!
15:33 The beginning of the Glory MEME.
Matt I can say the same. Couldn't help but laugh. She straight up had an outer body experience. He legit laughed for 2 minutes straight.
So beautiful to see you both laughing together. Praying for many more moments like that!
I had to pause the video when glory tried the lemonade because I was laughing so hard I couldn’t see through my tears 😂😂😂😂
I love Glory!!! Her reactions are always the best🤣The Calamansi juice hit so good, she blacked out and started speaking in tongues lmao 😂😂😂
😂😂😂
Glory’s reactions are SO INTENSE…I ❤ it!!!
You guys killed me with that lemonade 🤣🤣 I laughed so hard I had to replay it!!
He made a face like somebody farted in his mouth when he ate that corn! I’m dying over here!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I haven’t laughed like that in ages my cheeks hurt ❤😂
For the iced desserts, halo-halo means mixed together, you need to mix them to get the flavors go together, same with mais con yelo (the corn). They have to be mixed first for they have sugar and milk. It helps if you would search how they are being eaten to enjoy them better.
Both of their reactions to maíz con hielo 😂😂 Glory's hunched over march had me 💀
a few seconds in "some percentage..." also got me laughing XD
Glory needs to be in a food commercial. 100% everyone would want to buy and eat that food.
Oh myyyylup . I am crying and can’t stop laughing at Glory with that lemonade. I had to pause the video 😂😂😂
“I think I blacked out” LOL reminded me of when Glory drank the sac sac 😂 loved this so much!!!!!
Matty got to be strong the way he turns into a monkey bar when Glory laughs or gets excited 😂😂😂
That taste more whole milk than whole milk. 😆 I’m at work in the break room dying with a mouth full of potatoes. Thanks guys. Imma always stick around as a fan
The silent laugh from Matt had me cracking up 😂😅
as always, funny video!! love it! Could you guys try JAMAICAN & HAITIAN FOOD!
YUSSS
Omg!!! Watching from Philippines! So happy with this episode!!!🎉❤
I am only a quarter Filipino but it’s very important in my family (especially to my full Filipino grandma) that I embrace the culture so I love seeing Filipino representation! I really don’t see a lot of UA-camrs trying Filipino food.
Matt's laugh is so infectious I was dying laughing right along with him 🤣
I’m a filipino but I have to agree with Matt, Mais con hielo doesn’t taste good 🤣🤣 but I love how you & Glory is trying different filipino food , showing filipino culture to the world ☺️ 🇵🇭 represent
12:48 and the next minute has me rolling. I can’t stop replaying Glory stomping and clapping. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
As a Filipino, I am in the first minute of this video and already loving it. You should try Jollibee next. Mabuhay! 🇵🇭❤
They don’t have jollibee in Maryland. But maybe they could go somewhere and try it when they travel.
@@Violet-flies9 According to the Jollibee website, there is a Jollibee in Maryland. It’s in Wheaton.
@@Violet-flies9Jollibee is in Maryland. It's one in Wheaton by Wheaton mall.
Though its definitely a trip for them. But yes i would like to see that too
I have never seen matt laugh this hard! 🤣🤣🤣 Hahaha!!!
This was absolutely hilarious to watch 😂😂😅😅 Y'all are truly cut from the SAME cloth! Thank you for sharing your joy (and love of food)! 💜 By the way, the only downside of watching this is now I'm craving Filipino food and calamansi juice (which is just as amazing warm as it is cold) 😢
You made me laugh so much, that my stomach started to hurt. I kept going back to that part with your wife saying something,, then come slice, can't control himself. Your to are so funny at times.
As a Filipina fan of yours, this makes my heart big!🥺💖
She’s the most real/relatable Asian on the internet
Adobo and Ponsit are SOOOO good.
And not Matt calling okra “octopus eye”! 😂😂😂😂
🙈🙈🙈🙈
There's a reason why people need a person who knows how to eat a countries cuisine. The Halo halo and the Mais con yelo (corn) should be mixed before eating.
I love this!!😂 this is why being American is great, we have such diverse heritage. This is awesome!
Omgosh!!!! That laughing fit that start at 15:29 is my favorrriittteeeee kind of laughing. When you cant breathe and you have to make life choices or your body will power down like a low battery laptop- my husband and I have these moments, its what made him my best friend before we started dating ❤
AS A FULL FILIPINO WOMAN..I love this lol 😍🥹 But “HALO HALO” means “MIX MIX” so…the purpose of that dessert is to MIX EVERYTHING TOGETHER lol
I've never had that drink, but I have heard of it from other videos. I never knew what it meant. Thanks for the translation. I love it when everyone can learn from each other's cultures. It should happen more around the world.
The pinakbet can be made with shrimp also. You might like that one better than the pork and your supposed to eat it with white rice. It’s one of my favorite dishes.
No, I died when Ms Ma’am sipped that lemonade. Dwl..I literally laughed out loud. Too funny.
Great video guys!!
WHATTT THAT MADE SO MUCH SENSE WHY I LOVE YALL GUYS
In Belize 🇧🇿 we also love corn as a dessert. We have sugar corn ice cream, sugar corn milk ideals(a creamy frozen drink that comes in a plastic bag), and at home we make a frozen desert that’s one can sweet corn cream style and a can of condensed milk with a little bit of water.
the halo halo and mais con yelo, you're supposed to mix it thoroughly before devouring it. so that you get the cold dessert as a whole. It is not top be eaten without mixing it altogether
Thank you for trying the Filipino food. The purple stuff is UBE ice cream and you supposed to mix it well. It's called HALO HALO(MIX in Tagalog) for a reason 😁. Glad that you liked it.
The Holy Spirit had to come out and say something, Glory 😂❤ that’s what happened. 😂
Milk with corn is also very popular in the Vietnamese food culture. It took me a while to get used to it, but i crave it now and then!
🤣🤣🤣🤣"Pork be tasting like it's alive"😂😂😂😂😂I NEVER EXPEREDIT
Yes. The DNA test video would be very interesting!
☺️☺️
Those are honestly a waste of time. They basically own your DNA and the test can't possibly give an actual accurate determination of your DNA.
There are so many variations of halo halo, with the sweetened fruits, custard , and use ice cream!!!
“ pork be tasting like it’s alive “ 😂😂😂😂
It do tho🤣🤣🤣
Pork roast absolutely does 🤢
I was stationed on Guam, in the mid 80’s, and experienced a whole lot of Filipino food. The Pancit was very popular, at fiestas, and the women remain at a high level of magnificent! Just MY Experiences
I kinda laughed at how y'all pronounced some of the things, but I didn't care that much because it's expected and I just loved that you tried my people's food =,,,) Glad you enjoyed a lot of it! I loved Glory's reactions hahaha and I crack up when you both crack up!
🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 omg I love y'all!!!!! Been following you guys for so long. Glad to see Matt back and happy
I have been watching you guys since way before you guys got married. I just gotta say, I’m Filipino and watching this brings me joy ❤
Glory doing the " this is so good" chair dance
That last drink made Glory’s spirit RIISSEEEEE😂😂😂😂😂
Yaaaayyyyyy you finally tried our best delicacies!! Thank you guys
Nahh, this video was sooo hilarious! Y'all reaction had me laughing when you were trying the drinks. 😂 Especially the last two drinks. The lemonade looks soo good and refreshing, I definitely would like to try it. 👏
