Offtopic..Toninghs show in Osaka, Kanami was slapping her guitar during the Battle with Misa 😅 She put pick between her lips and started slapping. Crazy moment 😅❤️🔥
from JAPAN. Thank you for checking out the new BAND-MAID song so quickly. The recording of their new album was recently completed and I am looking forward to its release and can't wait. It will surely show us a new world. In case you are wondering, the bass MISA is playing is her signature model.
Great reaction as always. Akane is the modern day Keith Moon. Her frenetic style and the way she dominates a song (in a good way) is very reminiscent of Keith.
I agree with you that this is compositionally different The arrangement feels very different to anything they've done before as well and I can't quite get a handle on why it feels so different at the moment. Misa's bass sounds heavier than I've ever heard from her before although that may simply be because it sounds like Akane is matching her note for note on the bass drum at times. Akane is very happy to start off the song with blast beats.
Her rhythm playing is so heavy and chunky in songs like this. Creates a Black Sabbath feel. Add vocals and it’s as if Black Sabbath and Abba did a collaboration! 😅
Indeed, Grendizer (we call it Goldorak here in France) is, I think, the most popular anime in France. You can ask anyone on the street, they know Goldorak and I’m sure they don’t even know that it’s an anime. Just a French cartoon, like every European thought that the anime Heidi from the 70’s (created by Miyazaki) was a Swiss cartoon. They were many different songs for this anime (French versions of course) for every generation, especially the first one from 1978, sang by Noam. The single was sold in 4 million units. I have the vinyl of the single from my parents and I still have the small sized toy version of the robot. I’m not sure if the new version of the anime will succeed now. The generation after Grendizer was more into Dragon Ball Z, then it was the Pokemon/Naruto/One Piece generation.
Great analysis, as always! I had gooseumps mamy times, specially when I heard heavy groove from Misa and shot gun double kick from Akane and that tasty solo by Kanami.
Three minutes and I feel like I’ve already seen the anime. This is at least their seventh TV theme song. I’m waiting for their first film score. After Warning and Shambles I didn’t think they could evoke any more passion. Put this on my playlist and I can skip the workout. I was out of breath by the end.
This is definitely a lead song for an anime This chaotic melody seems to characterizes the anime action. The BPM's rival "Black Hole". Thanks for the heads up about its popularity in France. Did Ohrenje have anything to do with it? It also explains the use of" la la la la" so frequently in it. After "Hate?', I thought Saiki had fallen in love with the word.
Ooh la la, indeed! It's an unforgettable hook. I was curious after hearing the TV-size version, and I listened many times to the complete audio released yesterday. I was glad to hear it's so heavy, with the energy of WARNING, but not sounding like any previous BAND-MAID song. I wasn't sure what to expect for the video. This seems to be a cross of the YOLO junkyard and the SHAMBLES warehouse. I was hoping for something more, but it's not really important. There's lots of great drum and bass in the middle. Do they sound different in this song? I can't wait to hear the rest of the upcoming album. Will they again deliver a bunch of new sounds?
When you sign-on for a commissioned anime intro/outro, you know that the "anime overlords" are going to expect the band to be familiar with the dominant characters and themes of the anime before any lyrics are written (the lyrics will be specific to the given anime); those who provide the money will expect to have significant input to the final product; nothing will be released until it receives the "overlord's" stamp of approval. Although some innovation on Band Maid's part is expected, this is not the time for them to push-out the boundries of their creative minds (there is tradition of form and specific points of presentation to consider). Beyond receipt of the funds due, this is primarily a chance for Band Maid to sell themselves to new fans; enhance their reputation with anime/TV/movie producers/directors; show that, despite their being auteurs to a significant degree, they are amenable to working with others to create a mutually-acceptable product. To these ends, I think that they distinguished themselves nicely with this song. Band Maid Forever!!!!!
This happened for me with a lot of the stuff on Unleash. Corallium's my favorite overall. I liked this one a fair bit from first listen to the teaser trailer, and it's growing on me more the more I listen to it, but it's slowly. The mix is making it tough for me to pick out new stuff each listen. Usually it's like one listen per member, and then I really get it, but I think this is the first time that I'm struggling to make out what Misa is doing at times. That said, what a nice showcase for Saiki. They usually don't give her long sustained notes where she can really belt out.
@@bartyslattfast If you go through their history, they're peppered in there. Wonderland live is a great showcase for her. I love her singing on the YOLO EP, when her voice was a little husky from wear and tear. They have that Saiki + Miku tag team note on Influencer.
Funny, RUSH would hit me the same way at times. I would have to listen to the song several times, because so much was there, in order to appreciate it. This song is different maybe due to fact it was written for something (TV / Anime) other than Band-Maid writing for purely musical composition.
How about we all give the drummer some camera time just to see how hard she works """LOVEBITES Haruna all 4' 9"of her giving her drum kit what for, drum cam "Raise Some Hell" DRUM VIDEO ua-cam.com/video/9Rpb1WCayIs/v-deo.html""
To quote Mincho: "Our little pigeon has come a long way."

Oh wow!
9:18 yeah, that is the power of the Pigeon, Miku. 🕊️ Both the Zemaitis and the player are beasts. Beautiful beasts.
Supposedly Mincho and Misa were debuting their signature guitars on this one. More to come.
*BAND MAID!*
Akane is killing it in this track!
🤘❤🔥🤘
"Brand new BAND -MAID need I say more?" Nope 😁 What a fcken band Po 👍🍻
Ouh là là, Band-Maid! Thx, Joel!
Yes, that was an amazing insight. I did not think of French here.

I like how Akane hints at double time in the chorus and keeps bailing back. Just another interesting rhythmic element from Akane.
Another great song from amazing Band Maid!!! Kanami's solo is sooooooooooo good, as always!!! Thanks for your reaction.
Thank you too!
Thank you Mr. Rock Candy! More Band-Maid song breakdows please!
Miku worked really hard to become a really good rhythm guitarist ❤

Band-Maid is my life elixir. You betcha!

This song is freaking nuts...

Ah, I thought the same. "Was it Saiki's idea to add so much la-la-la-la-la here, as she did it in HATE?"

I watched the official video this morning. I have been waiting for reaction videos. Thank you 🤘
Hope you enjoyed it!
The anime this 1 is 4 , is a remake of an old anime transzer z from back in the voltron days
Akane is a Biest wow

I love this band and all her Maidiacs! Thank you for watching!
Alot of MinchoDiddles in this too. Sometimes you gotta really listen hard...
Not my favourite, but that might change. If I don't like a B-M song at first, they tend to become one of my favourites later.

Main riff goes to vocals this time, and super heavy rather guitar
Or just read the lyrics.
