Aloha gentlemen from Maui. I am planning on visiting Tokyo in October (end of Oct into Nov) for 2 weeks for the gorgeous fall colors. I enjoy watching you two wonderful guys and the spirit you convey is so genuine. My 2 sons (24 and 22) are both gay men and I have never been more proud of them. I am hoping to have them meet me there since they live in San Antonio where we are from (My husband is Kamaaina) and if not, then I will be kicking around Tokyo on my own. Maybe I will see you around the little street food stalls as well as I am hoping to do a UA-cam channel of my own. My sons encourage me to finally do something for myself after raising them as a single mother and putting them first in all things. Keep up the EXCELLENT material and may you and your partner be blessed abundantly.
Fun vid !!!! I really think it's great they have a museum like that about it and its history !!! Heard about this place few years ago and I want to go there one day !!!
+astroboy3507 It took me a couple of years before I actually visited. At first I thought it would be a tourist trap that's mediocre but I was wrong. It's educational and actually a fun place to visit. The best part of course, is where you get to make your own cup noodles!
That was fun, the customised cup noodle, but I would pass on the ice cream one though! Nikki was very brave indeed, to eat a huge spoonful of it....yuck 😂
Please....don't eat shark fin soup. Killing a shark just for it's fin isn't cool....the fin has no flavor to add to the soup, just texture. In the meantime, the rest of the animal is discarded....what a waste. The rest of the shark can be eaten as well. And for those out there that want to jump on me for this comment....knock yourselves out. You'll not get a response. www.stopsharkfinning.net/shark-fin-soup-whats-the-scoop/
Beautiful city! The food at Santou looked so delicious! I liked all of the cups you designed, although Justin is always a winner. I want to visit that Ramen Museum someday.
I'm visiting Japan next month, and I'm so excited! I'm so glad for your videos. We know now where we are going to go while we are in Japan! :) Thanks for the awesome vids :)
I see Chili Tomato, still one of my favorite flavors. We get it here sometimes (they're getting harder and harder to find) But the Chili flavor are usually available and that's the one I eat the most. It is so funny you have a Museum for Ramen. :) That looks so fun where you are all designing your own cups. I wish I could have been there, my favorite design were the Christmas trees. I liked them all though, Brians design was my second favorite though but they're all Very nice.
+Susie LaLonde the ramen museum was so much fun. We had more fun than we thought we'd have here. haha. designing your own cup noodles is probably the best part of the tour!
Wow, you saw so much in some day! I love exploring ruins, so the French Embassy remains looks really fun. I'd probably be like Bryan, though, and enjoy the food most of all.
+hazeej oh gosh, this was a long day, but so much fun. Now if my sister and Bryan were dessert people like I am, we would be eating dessert at the end. Thanks for watching!
I think if your Sister would stay there in Japan with you it would be even more entertaining ,she kindda Fun to me..You are really all together fun to watch..THE food as always looks Amazing and Yummy..By the way the Cup noodles the 4 of you Designed they were all nice and very Colorfull..Thumbs Up my Friends!!!
Awe now I wish we made the detour to Yokohama, it looks amazing, and it got your sister's seal of approval!! Next time for sure!! Mike has the same three lines on his thumb, and we didn't know that till we watched this video lol!! Does your sister speak Japanese as well as you do Shinichi? Really loved seeing your sister and Bryan in your videos, so lovely! 💕
+FoodishBeauty wow interesting. Now my grandmother told me that those three lines mean that one is an entrepreneur. Another person told me that it means that this person should follow their instincts, not logic. Both matches me perfectly. How about Mike?
hmmm.. not sure lol, we are both Christians so we've never had our palms read, this was interesting indeed! :p Maybe the instinct one makes a little sense. :)
Mmmm, I love seeing all the food! It looks like you had a wonderful time exploring with your sister! OMG! The noodle museum looked so so so so awesome - I'd totally love to go back and visit that area just so I can personalize my own instant cup noodle. But then I wouldn't want to eat it... lol!
+SeeKaysee I know what you mean about the design your own cup noodles. It was my third time I made my own and although I ate the contents, I still have the cups! thanks for coming along with us!
The Ramen museum has got to be one of the coolest things I have ever seen. But that food.. Why can they put a man on the same moon you are over for Moon cakes, but they can't give us smell a vision? Thanks for letting us tag along. This was a great video, the music was great too.
+Emma Crawford haha! funny. :D You know smell a vision would be so cool if they had that, I'd be stuck to watching youtube all day! Thanks for coming along with us!
Looks like a really fun time with your family in a great city. I will say (16:10) "much better than locusts" is not much of an endorsement for food or anything else! Also, when you spoke about moon cakes you seemed "over the moon" about moon cakes. I rarely think of that phrase as I haven't heard anyone say it in years, but it came to mind, I think it is an idiom for 'really happy" or that's what it means to me. Do you like the moon cakes with the salted egg in them or without? The salted egg is not for me, but I have tried it, in my opinion I guess it is much better than locusts and I will not be trying locusts! Great video, I like the travel ones.
+MikeTheBarber63 haha so true about the locusts! I really do love my moon cakes, however I don't really care for the ones with egg in them. I tried them as I got a box of them from my friend in Hong Kong and although they were supposed to be the best, they were quite rich for me the egg taste combined with the sweetness of the red bean paste didn't appeal to me. I know that if I grew up with it, things could be different though. I'm so glad you enjoy our travel videos. I love sharing our adventures with everyone and knowing that you guys enjoy them means everything to us so thank you!!! Are you sure you don't want to try some locusts? hehe
+TabiEats btw I'm craving for moon cake right now, didn't eat it for sooo long but I don't know where to get them :o do you know where I could buy them or how to make them?
+TabiEats I live in Germany, more specifically in düsseldorf. There is quite a big japanese district here and we even celebrate a holyday thats entirely dedicated to Japan(it's awesome)! But mooncakes are more popular among chinese/vietnamese people I believe so I don't know if I can find them there. Do they usually have mooncakes at general asian stores?
Pling Pling I see. We usually buy our mooncakes in Chinatown as they don't have them in normal supermarkets here either. We dream of visiting Germany together one day.
Its exciting watching your vlog. Thank you for sharing. Your sister should move to Japan with her boyfriend. Yokohama looks exciting but I wouldn't trade Hawaii for anything. oh well! I would visit Japan but I rather live in Hawaii in a heart beat. 😁
Thomas Santin well my grandmother told me when I was a child that I would become an entrepreneur of some sort. Another person recently told me that people with three lines should follow their instincts rather than logic.
I suppose in a way your grandmother was almost right then haha and I think I follow instinct more than logic in most cases, though sometimes logic would have been better lol.
Thomas Santin it definitely describes me that's for sure. I used to try following logic and it never worked for me. Now I follow my instincts and my heart.
The way you said "ok la" transported me right back home to Singapore 😂 Very authentic Singaporean/Malaysian! Also the 10 baht! 😊 Reminds me so much of South East Asia I love it 💗
I have heard about the Yokohama Chinatown before, unfortunately the Shanto restaurant food looks like Chinese take-out food. For example, ordering stir fried noodle and spring roll for dinner is quite strange. A lot of time during winter, It is a good idea to order a hotpot dish (I prefer lamb stews) in the middle and few sides or appetizer dish around the pot accompaning with a bowl of steam rice for every person. Damn, I kinda felt like I am impersonating Satoshi for saying that. I liked how Shinichi's thumb has got an extra line, very unusual. And I gotta say your accent is a little bit different to your sisters hehe ;)
+rollingdownfalling one day you will have to visit Tokyo and teach us about proper Chinese food. That is something I definitely want to learn more about. How is my accent different from my sister? I'm interested to hear. :D
+TabiEats I know a channel call Strictly Dumpling on YT, and there is a video call 'Five Major Cuisines of China'. The food looks beautiful. My preference of food is Cantonese food, because I like It's umami, lightly salted, flavor as opposed to sometime very strongly flavored and I also like north eastern food because of the stew like hotpots. About the accent, let's just say if I blind fold myself, I would totally think your sister is 外人. I believe it's because you have been staying back in Japan for so long now, your accent had started to change a little bit, even though you have been living in Hawaii at a very young age. Although currently I don't think I would be coming to Tokyo anytime soon :(
+TabiEats oh Interesting, Mike Chen's tastebuds are quite strong for my standard because he likes very spicy and oily food which is something I cannot tolerate haha. I find many Japanese food has a lighter flavour which is a great choice.
Hi Guys me and my family planning to go to Japan this Aug. for 5 days Just want to ask if purchasing japan rail pass for unlimited rail ride is a smart move ? Please advice Thank you
Great video! Is Justin what Satoshi translates to in English? Or is that just the English name he chose for himself? The reason I ask is that my father's name is Satoshi & I have a son named Justin! I didn't know of any connection with the two names. It would be funny if I had unknowingly named my son after his Jichan! 🤗

We are special haha is it meant to mean anything ?
Thomas Santin well my grandmother told me when I was a child that I would become an entrepreneur of some sort. Another person recently told me that people with three lines should follow their instincts rather than logic.

rollingdownfalling oh yes, I'm actually subscribed to their channel. I must watch that episode. Trying to learn more about Chinese food from them.
+TabiEats oh Interesting, Mike Chen's tastebuds are quite strong for my standard because he likes very spicy and oily food which is something I cannot tolerate haha. I find many Japanese food has a lighter flavour which is a great choice.
Is everything within walking distance to eachother?
Yes it is:)
How long is the Christmas Market up? We will be there on the First of October 🤗
They usually open up in November
Try something savory, would love to know houw dry squid taste......
Did your sister get a chance to go to the top of Landmark Tower?
+Acierer aww no we didn't go. Perhaps next time though because we've only seen half of Yokohama!
INSTANT RAMEN MUSEUM!!!! OMG!
+Colin Starfish yeah!
Have U considered visiting Mt. Koyasan?
Do you know how cruel the shark fin industry is? They cut off the dorsal fin on the living shark and put the shark back into the water, in pain.
I love instant ramen. That being said, Cup Noodle is the worst instant ramen out there.
Shark fin soup...so cruel! 😭 Same with dolphin meat! WHY????
Hi Guys me and my family planning to go to Japan this Aug. for 5 days
Just want to ask if purchasing japan rail pass for unlimited rail ride is a smart move ? Please advice Thank you
Great to purchase the pass if you’re planning to use the Shinkansen a lot. It’s expensive with it.
+Laura Megginson haha. no no. Actually we named him Justin because when we first got him we thought he looked like Justin Timberlake. haha
OMG I can't handle the noise and yelling. I would have sensory overload there and love you guys but how dare you eat shark fins!
Can't wait to visit Yokohama when I come to visit! All the food looks amazing as well so excited!
+Tina Walters definitely visit this wonderful city my friend. Cheers!
