As a lifetime vinyl DJ, who began collecting records before CDs were invented (or at least before they were commercially available), even I have to admit that there is no perceptible latency, or "digital fucking delay" as you call it, with Serato. We're talking nanoseconds here. I love seeing DJs spin classic vinyl records, and often perform my own sets using only vinyl, but digital technology has opened up many creative avenues, and allows for performances that simply aren't possible using just records. I'll be the first to call out a DJ using digital technology as a crutch, and relying on smacking buttons in lieu of developing skills and precise techniques, but literally nothing any of these three DJs do in this clip is any way diminished by their use of a vinyl Serato control record triggering a digital file rather than a traditional audio record.
First let me say qbert is a god. Second, I disagree. I don’t think he evolved much at all over the years. He hit a high point 10-15 yrs ago and just stayed there.
D-Styles has surpassed Q in terms of technicality and musicality. I mean, Wave Twisters would be nothing without D. And stylistically, it’s more of D’s dark style than Q’s. Razorblade Alcohol Slide...that violin scratch is ALL D-Styles
I feel so lucky to count decades of enjoying and following the innovation and talent that spills from these WIZARDS of SOUND and VINYL WHISPERERZ. Mad love n hella respect.
The biggest difference compared with seeing these guys play 15 years ago and now is that the crowd in the front used to nod their heads. Now everyone's filming and no one's listening...tsk.
Mad skillz on all of em but Q has alien DNA. Like the tech stuff but these guys make everything so musical. Be cool if AD Roc and Mike D joined up with Invisibl and did an album. Thanks for the post!
picklez been in my blood since ´98 ♪♫♬ d styles the musical man, shortuk the killer grooves and q bringing that UFO experience BIG UP FROM MEXICO CITY Volume: ▁ ▂ ▃ ▄ ▅ ▆ █ 100 %
I fucking love shortcut even he aint a virtuoso scratcher like other isp but his mixing is fucking insane. plus I love his scratches especially those stabs. I can watch him stab all day. fastest in world
shortkut is on some next level cutting playa...his stabs and transformers are beyond what qbert and dstyles can deliver...they will even admit it. he is clean and got the ability to execute very complex patterns and make it just seem too easy...he is one of my all time favs...just saying...ez
What?! To have been apart of the Skratch Piklz WAS to have been a virtuoso scratcher, don't downplay Shortkut's skills like that. He was all over those scratch videos back in the day.
before I have to go look it up does anybody know how much these guys get paid for the shows they do all over the world. I remember q bert in like early 2000s was making like 5gs for a half hour I heard. man what a great life if u love djing.
That is the good life my friend. Plus you're forgetting all the FREE stuff they get. I know all of them got Go Pro cameras at NAMM the following day. Good for them.
George Munoz hell yeah those endorsements probably pay out the frame. I bought sure needles vestax mixers all cause ISP used that stuff on turn table tv back in the day.
I was in the audience there, they KILLED it!
Q bert is so high level that very few people can actually appreciate fully what he is doing.
The picklz invented the modern skratch game, of course hes a god.

Still rocking it in 2050!!🎶🎧🎶

Dope cuts as always, RESPECT! More fans less spectators!
Why is that q hasn't aged a day?! I saw him back in 98' with yoga frog and dude looks exactly the same, and he still is doing his thing.
