Thanks for sharing Craig ... IMO this is a great follow up to the video where you shared what you are thinking when you swing versus a sports announcer pretending to know ...
Yes for sure! I’m trying to not take for granted my communication. In many cases viewers only see one video and judge the content based on that VS 100’s of videos and podcast interviews. That’s why I’m trying to get more content like this out. Thanks!
@gabardjean-paul3779 I appreciate that thank you very much! Hoping that word will spread and more people will be playing this game in an easier fashion. It really shouldn’t be as hard as people make it seem.
Watch THIS video very carefully and take notes because THIS is the way to developing a tour swing. Absolute gold! Craig is one of the very few who are actually teaching this. Thanks Craig for the no nonsense, simply the best method to a great golf swing. Jack Nicklaus said he can't throw his hands fast or hard enough from the top of his swing. David Duvall talks about a "casting" motion from the top of his swing. Tiger talks about getting the clubhead back out in front of his body from the top of his swing. All of the greats widen the arc from the top of the swing. This is done by unloading the lag that's created in the transition. They are NOT holding lag whatsoever. That's an absolute speed killer and leads to extremely inconsistent ball striking. Make your backswing, transition your weight forward in the transition as the club is reaching the top, then feel like your trail hand pushes the club out away from you as you also unload your hands. You can not do this early or fast enough. The downswing is a quarter of a second. The hands and arms need to be moving as fast as you can possibly make them move.
Craig, I editing my comment a bit. I really meant that people need to take note on YOUR video! I wish you were in Virginia so I could take some in person lessons with you. Thank you for all of your amazing and free content on the correct way to swing. Oh, and I finally made the transition to UST Mamiya graphite shafts in my irons and it is the best decision I have ever made in golf. Are you using the same shafts in your wedges that are in your irons? Thanks!
Thank you! And your edits are solid! Yes I use the same. Recoil 110 F4 tipped 1”. In all of my irons including my wedges! I’ll be back in NY this summer if you want to make the trip.
