    Man, I’ve been doing this for like 10 years now. It’s changed a lot with marketplace, but I usually make an extra 20-30k a year just doing it on the side. It’s actually crazy lol

      That's awesome. If you've got the free time to get the deals while they're hot and know a little bit about them to fix little things here and there you can make some money. It's so competitive these days but very cool to see someone like you can still make some good money doing it!

    Great score. Now with covid you can’t get a new one. With out waiting for it for 6-8 months. So the prices of used ones have gone up a lot. Here in Ontario that same atv is going for on kijiji for $4000-$6000. I have the same one but in green. And love it. I have had no issues at all and it has 3300 miles. On it. I don’t baby it at all. One tough atv.

      @diversedad7954  3 роки тому +3

      Yeah I'm still happy with it. I don't think it's the best atv out there but it's got nice features and it's a solid machine and the price was right lol. Only issue I've had is when it's cold out the front diff wants to stay locked in 4wd and not release back to 2wd. Not a major issue. Just did my second oil change since I've had it. Only 200hrs on mine now. Not sure on miles without looking.

    i went and picked up a 03 honda rancher 2wd last year for 1800, 13000km and 600+hrs, i re painted it back to oem colors added led lights/off road tires/winch and a bunch of new upgrades, then straight traded that for a 05 john deere trail buck 500 cvt full time 4x4, added a light bar to that upgraded the tires to 27s and redid the top end on it with bran new wiesco parts, now im looking to trade that machine up! patience is key and a bit of avail funds always helps like you said. great vid and thanks for sharing

      i should also mention the honda had no ownership either and when i sold it it was at just over 15500km and 750hrs over the summer of me riding it. and the JD has only 5800km and 400hrs on it, and came with ownership and repairs bills all from the dealership. :P

    In 2014 I bought a 2003 sportsman 600 at pawnshop for $3000, the odometer rolled over to 98 miles as I loaded it on the trailer. My first ride I could smell the paint on the engine. A 11 year old like brand new for have the price of new, still ride it.

    One thing you left out is don't be offended if you low-ball someone and they don't take it. So many people do this then get mad when you don't take their low ass offer or even worse waste your time by coming to see the thing with no intention on paying near asking price and don't have the decency to say it. I've never had a bad experience with a serious buyer and the "negotiation" is generally a couple hundred bucks. These people who show up offering a grand on something listed for 3 then get pissy when you reject it are the only problem with selling most other people are great.

    • @diversedad7954
      @diversedad7954  2 роки тому

      I agree. When I low ball I'm expecting them to say no. Thats the hard part if finding the person that will accept a low offer. But don't get me wrong, I don't make a habit of going around lowballing people. As long as they are asking a reasonable price. But I almost never pay the exact price people are asking. That's part of the game.
      I'll be uploading a new video today of me making a bad purchase on a Polaris Ranger you may be interested in. I screwed up and wanted to share my mistakes to help others.

    What rides better as a daily Honda r truck what’s more reliable

    • @diversedad7954
      @diversedad7954  4 роки тому +3

      Seriously? There really couldn't be any more polar opposite vehicles to compare on ride quality as a daily driver. My truck is 15yrs newer and was $35k truck new. Honda was a small cheap 2 seater economy car so even if they were both built at the same time and both bone stock, the truck would still ride better, have more room, and be an all around more comfortable daily. The only way the Honda would beat it would be if you commute and park in areas where parking is tight, where the Honda fits in just about anywhere. I've never ridden in a lowered Honda that rode great. Anytime you lower anything you are loosing suspension travel and making it stiff. I've got decent suspension on the Honda but the ride isn't anything even close to that of my truck. As far as reliability goes: Again if they were both new and stock, I'd say the Honda is more reliable. In my case, my car is completely custom and nearly everything on the car has been changed and anytime you modify anything, you are bound to reduce reliability and run into issues. I wouldn't say my Honda is unreliable, but as with any customized car, I do run into issues from time to time. Dealing with one right now with a motor mount bracket ripping from the frame rail. When you put super stiff mounts in a car that had rubber ones from the factory, put in a motor that puts down more power, and a clutch that engages way harder than stock, these things will happen. If you are asking which of my particular truck and car are most reliable, my truck in the most reliable hands down. I rely on it for everything which is why I keep it nearly completely stock. If reliability and a good ride are what you want, you need to be shopping for a bone stock Honda and keep it that way.

    Hello. I’m looking at buying a 2010 Polaris 500. It’s listed for $3k but I think I could get it for $2k. It has 14k miles and one owner farm used. With current atv prices do you think this would be a fair deal?

    • @diversedad7954
      @diversedad7954  3 роки тому

      I don't know what average miles are for these. It really depends how they were used. I would find out how many hours it has and focus more on the hours then the miles. For reference my 2005 only has 218 hours and less than 1000 miles. As long as it's in decent shape and they ours aren't through the roof I would say anything between 2 and $3,000 would be a good buy. These things hold their value pretty well as long as they are in good working condition. In my area it's still hard to find anything like mine even in the price range of $3,500

    • @factionfx

      Those are good machines, but you don't want to own a 14,000 mile polaris. Would be way better off paying 4k for one with 1000-2000 miles.
