I started self study Japanese when I was a university student and passed JLPT N1 level five years after that. I've been running a language school in Singapore specializing in teaching Japanese and Mandarin Chinese for the past 7 years. Yow...uwu... glad I tried this... It made me realize my current speech seems centered toward the back of the mouth whereas this, at least these consonants seem centered toward the front and the teeth. I have a feeling learning the pronunciation will also improve listening skills by being able to distinguish the differing sounds in a more meaningful way. That will be interesting to find out if its true. Thanks!
