Having qualified in our agency on M4's and M4A1's, etc...I remember my first full-auto run and thinking "Well that seems pointless". The only way I could have seen it being employed was in a situation where you're confronted with a cartel vehicle that needs to be dissuaded as quickly as possible. There are way too many "milspec' assumptions out there. They go hand in hand with people thinking that cops and soldiers are all expert marksman. Cops and soldiers rarely shoot unless they're doing it on their own time and dime. Unless you're a special boi, soldiers and cops are qualifying at most once every quarter - in a sterile and controlled environment with limited ammo (mostly due to cost). Military and LEO weapons are frequently (not always) beat to pieces, ancient, and barely kept in line with an overworked armorer who's trying to monitor too many firearms, etc.
CivDiv video of his friends running into RU Spetnaz holding up in a house is a use case for full auto. They took out the BMP that support the Spetnaz and were going after dismounts.
why are most "civilian" cars allowed to go over 100mph? It is illegal to drive faster than 75 in most states... so why don't they ban "RACING CARS" and limit speedometers to 80? The hypocrisy of this country is too much man.
I’ve ran into guys in Chicago with switches and drop in sears on ar pistols, but I’m over here abiding by all the laws. And they don’t give a damn and most likely will never be caught or prosecuted. It’s us law abiding citizens who pay for their actions. Stay safe out there everyone! Great video Lucas!
Naw, not really. Think about it. If fully automatic weapons were legal, they'd just buy those. And there'd be a lot more of them with fully automatic weapons. If a cop found you carrying a stock glock, they'd go "ok cool." if a cop caught you with a glock with a switch, they'd go "ok cool, you're under arrest." Does it STOP them from doing illegal shit? of course not. Does it LIMIT people from doing it? Fair to say, yeah.
@@VoluntaryPlanet Oh man you're right. And 3D printers are free and everyone knows how to use them. I totally forgot about that. That's why everyone has them and uses them openly without any consequences. God, people are dumb.
@@Pope005 You are dumb if you think gun control prevents or even limits people from obtaining stuff. The black market is more lucrative for a reason. To say that full auto guns will be any more available for criminals than they already are is making the same exact frivolous argument as all other prohibition. Criminals don’t have any issue getting fully automatic firearms. Your argument that they do because of laws preventing people from owning full autos was pulled straight out of your ass. Which statistics are you referencing to reach that conclusion? Which studies? Which estimates?
An addendum to the use-case discussion of full-auto: when I was trained by the army in 2018/2019, I was taught that when the SAW is needed but experiencing a malfunction, it may be prudent for the riflemen to switch to auto, in order to pick up the big gun's slack and suppress the enemy while the SAW gunner clears the malfunction and gets it back up.
@travelingspartan2035 that makes soo much sense, more than what i was thinking: the obscure situation of first contact with an aggressive alien race with superior body armor tech Typo
This is exactly why full auto select fire makes sense for the citizens to have. They wont be on a platoon with 8 other dudes fulfilling the "grenadier" role or "automatic riflemen" Its just gonna be them with their general purpose rifle navigating a SHTF scenario, ofc the ar15 wont hold up as well as an m249 but with a bipod and short bursts in can make do and work to fulfill that role that the professional military decides its soldiers need.
Yeah I don’t get off on full auto. Seems kinda stupid to me especially with the advance in optics and sighting systems. My build is a block 2 upper, law folder to fit in my bag, and I put a nightforce 2.5-20 FFP, in a badger comm 1.54” mount with a 35 degree offset rmr at 170 height. It’s heavy but I can shoot so much further with it than I could with my eotech and magnifier. It honestly makes it a completely different weapon (SPR/DMResk build for long range precision) and the mount is so good with zero I can switch between it and my eotech ln a matter of seconds. People bitch about the new sig rifle, and I’m in no way a professional nor someone with the credentials to have an opinion to be an authority. That being said the new vortex sighting system is what makes that gun so badass if you ask me. I get that it’s heavier and has way less ammo, which spits in the face of everything that was learned in Vietnam/since then. But an average dude being able to shoot super far with semiautomatic pinpoint precision, using a round capable of major devastation seems like it would completely change the tides of war in a place like Afghanistan. In fallujah or ramadi a 556 in a 14.5” or 11.5” with an ACOG or VCOG would probably reign supreme. But in Afghanistan seems like those would be best for the dudes doing raids.
Anyone who’s served in the military knows “military grade” equals cheapest thing the government could get, hence a lot of civilian ARs are actually better equipped and better quality parts than standard issue M4s
@@professionalschizo That depends on which PSA rifle you are buying. The premium CHF rifles are just as good or better than what the military is buying. But at that point, you were paying just as much for more for the same quality of rifle the military uses. If you step up your budget even more and buy something like a Bravo Company manufacturing AR with a chrome-lined hammer-forged Barrel, then you are probably getting a rifle that is better quality than what the military has.
I think most of the fascination with full auto in the 2A community is the forbidden fruit complex. Many who never served have never shot full auto (including myself) and therefore never got it out of their system to say, "well that was fun but mostly pointless". The current restrictions on it are absolutely absurd though - all gun control is infringement.
Full auto makes a lot of sense for CQB. Full auto also allows you to use your rifle as an improvised light machine gun for suppressive fire. Also, whenever you need to shoot at a car driving by quickly, full auto really helps. I watched a video of police shooting full auto with their MP5s at a car driving by.
I used 3 round burst with my m4 once in combat. Being empty after ten trigger pulls was stupid. I immediately switched back to semi auto. First sergeant himself came up with loaded magazines for us when I was down to my last mag. Never used 3 round burst again and wrote off full auto alltogether for the kind of fighting we were doing. I'd only see it useful for blind firing into a window or to clear a room in close quarters. so not totally useless, just super rarely needed (for my time over there at least) Edit: also wanted to add i was in that 2010 GWOT era. combat vids on my channel if anyone is interested. not trying to build a channel for money so i'm running out of videos to share, just finally decided to share and it's out there.
In short, you can buy better quality parts/firearms as a whole on the civilian side. I ran my issued MK18 but still. There’s always better on the private side
One of the most sensible and informative vids I’ve seen. It’s inspiring. Running COLT and BCMs and this gives me a lot of confidence in my choices of a base weapon.
I was an armorer in the army many years ago and I remember when we switched from the m16a1 to the a2. I had to sign for and review all markings. About half of the lower receivers were stamped with AR 15 on them.
That’s because back then they made something called the “transition rifle” where they were converting AR-15s to full auto and using in governmental contract. It was a thing for a few short years.
I remember when I went through Army boot camp back in the eighties, I was issued an M16 with AR-15 marked on the receiver. Wound up getting some attention from the DI when I said I thought these were supposed to be M16's? So long ago, I almost forgot about it, but I definitely remember it having AR15 markings.
@@11binfantryfollowmeus.army95 remember. When Eugene Stoner created the AR-15 for the US Military in 1956 it was FULL AUTO ONLY!! Select fire did not take place until 1959 when it was sold as a patent and then renamed the M-16 in 1961. Clearly you don’t know your military small arms historical evolution very well.
That is a huge percentage of all engagement in wars though. If you watch the battles happening in Ukraine right now, most of the fire happening is automatic fire. That's not to say you can't be great with a semi gun. But the reality is if you're an armed force with exclusively semi, and you're going up against a force with auto as an option to all of their forces you're going to be on your back foot. And you're going to have to adapt and account for it.
@@drownthepoor In Iraq we used precision shooting,3 round burst which is more effective. The insurgents used auto-fire,that type of shooting was not effective and we'd pick them off one-by-one until they retreated.M-4s will usually start having malfunctions if you use auto TOO long, you have to know most of our fire-fights lasted 2/3 hrs. This is one of the reasons we had over 370 rounds of ammo on our person each.
i second the “buy as you go, upgrade as you go” statement. my rifle is specified exactly to my liking and what works for me. it took me a long time and lots of trying different accessories/gear until i found what works for me.
I used full auto on my M4A1's a handful of times and like you said in react to ambush drills and while clearing structures during combat operations in Iraq.
I shot a LOT of full auto in the army but only 2 mags worth out of an M4 and 1 was a mag of blanks (got in trouble for it) and the other was at a night qual course and after everyone was done my CO let anyone who wanted to go dump a mag in full auto because we'd probably wouldn't get the another chance too (honestly I think it was too raise morale the entire company was miserable at that moment and it definitely raised everyone's spirits cause it was awesome)
Looking at these rifle look almost identical to the rifle I was issued from 2012 to 2016 an ACOG, with a PEQ. Also depending on Unit SOPs, you can add "furniture" to your issued rifle. But the issue a lot of people encounter is theft. Which goes along with the sayings in the Army "There is only one thief, everyone else is just trying to get there shit back"
It boils down to the effectiveness of the shooter; training, time on the weapon, smarts, and luck. And the bad luck of the enemy who happened to step in front of the bullet with his name on it. The weapon although important, is secondary.
Great content, I was in the Seabees and whenever we went to FTX, we were issued plain jane 14.5 carry handle flat top m4s with LMT sop mod stocks. That was as recent as 2021. Lately I’ve seen pics of Seabees finally getting ACOGs and PEQ-15s. I didn’t mind the plain jane M4 as direct action is not our primary concern, but the Marine combat engineers we had with us were still rocking M16A4s with grip pods, ACOGs, and PEQ-15s.
@@user-ge9gz3sn5s then that means a hammer is a hammer. Never mind that I’m using a sledgehammer to drive nails instead of a carpenter’s hammer. I wasn’t complaining about my issued rifle 🫡
Yes we should own weapons of war no matter what the tyrants say. I don’t have any but if ppl want to own a fully auto they should be allowed to. DON’T STEP ON SNEK!!!
Listen we just make everythung with an a2 pistol grip and do a little basic engineering with maybe a small electric motor with a tiny arm to vibrate forwards and back on the trigger and problem solved bro. We even go sci fi and make it with a little knob so you can adjust your rpm. We go from semi burst and full auto full blown to maybe if you want full auto but want to conserve ammo you can dial it back to it chugga chuggas instead of brrrrrrt brrrrrts. Or to he more accurate. Maybe we just stop trying to hide secret devices snd we just built a grip with such a device built in to pull the trigger back and release it at certain speeds and then if the atf comes we shoot them so congress deletes them from existance. Then everyone gets such grips and we can all fully adjust the rpm of our automatics like the founding fathers intended
Funnily enough, in the British army, we are told to never use full auto on our SA80 rifles. The only time you could “justify” using full auto is in very close quarter urban environments but even then for ammo conservation because you end up using more rounds then you tend to need to. The auto purpose is fulfilled by GPMG’s which are support and longer ranged weapon systems where they will provide a lot of rounds down range for support of more accurate fire from the rifles and the marksman LMT 7.62 rifle (only semi auto).
"Civilians don't own military property... (*Lucas smirks) except for some of these PEQ-15s..." I chuckled. Former 11B and unit armorer; great video. The constraints and abuse put on issued gear creates a lot of issues and limitations. Units encourage over-cleaning to pass arbitrary "finger in the star-chamber" inspections, so guys can spend their weekends drinking and doing shenanigans, instead of sitting on the floor of barracks hallways cleaning guns. Units encourage under-lubrication, because residual CLP-lube breaks more carbon free and attracts dust, risking failing an inspection by a grumpy senior NCO with a bad home-life who is itching to keep the unit at work until 2300, sitting on the floor cleaning guns. Unit armorers also weren't directed or encouraged to keep track of round-counts or scheduled parts replacement; parts were replaced as they broke. If something broke on a range, you'd be lucky if the armorer brought along a spare parts toolbox. If something broke while deployed, the logistics chain to get replacement parts that the unit didn't necessarily have, was an arduous and almost pointless process. In the austere conditions in which military guns are employed, in those 3 flawed mindsets of unit armories (over-clean, under-lube, and not keeping round-counts or scheduled parts replacement), some guns held up decently well. The M240 is indestructible. The M16/M4 is... okay. Things will fail. The M249s, at least our 1990s-era ones we were using 20 years later, were rickety janky shitheaps.
Agree, (breaking contact/pushing through) when being ambushed would be one of the only times I would use select fire and spray, instead of using semi well placed shot's (although short bursts can be very affective)

Fun fact: some National Guard units have a piece of sheet metal, that you insert before putting on your pistol grip, to prevent the user from switching to full auto/burst. That was a huge WTF moment when I transferred over from active duty.

Well said. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter if full auto is useless or not, it's the fact that government dicatates to us citizens that we are not allowed to have it, yet their agents are.
Honestly my 1200$ ar15 is much smoother than my issued m4. Mostly due to the fact that i put in a nicer trigger, and its not been raped by multiple users over its lifespan. A lot easier to keep a weapon functional if youre the only user and you have that intimacy with the rifle.
Its so dumb they wont sell us blacktip 5.56 but if you want you can snag .50 bmg API easily but the problem is now the feds arent in the way of your armor piercing but now the budget is actually the real problem. To run 50 bmg you literally need like a very well constructed stock portfolio to finance the thing or youll go broke. Thing costs more to run than an f150 but any american that isnt a felon can buy a 50 cal unless youre in california. Sadly california has banned the orher 49 states. They think theyre better than us but they cant even buy any bullets capable of shooting down a communist helicopter flying low to avoid radar detection. You cam buy 50 bmg tracer right now and see if youre bullet misses because youre leading the shot enough or not
The market is almost always gonna have some kind of performance modifications out there that may top the standard issued weapon. When an organizations has half a million of these things to purchase and issue, and maintain, resilience and capability are priority only in regards to getting the job done.
As the current company armor, the reason none of our M4A1s have lights is purely because they do not fit back on the racks with a side mounted light. (And none of our leadership trusts us not to ND a white light in the middle of a night op.)
Thank you for always reminding me to train! I am by no means probably even an average shot, but I am getting better. Every time I go to the range I see new guys with $5k dollar guns come in and spend 25 min mag dumping and then leave and I never see them again. I have to make 40-50 rds count so I can come back tomorrow. Practice makes perfect!
Great comparison and explanation! Milspec doesn't mean best! Great explanation of Full Automatic use by soldiers. As civilians we have more choices than the regular Infantry soldiers. Top Tier Hard guys have much more flexibility in their kit. As you said the civilian market is very competitive and great new stuff is coming out all the time. And you can pick and choose what you want. And change or have several different rifles. IMHO for a new shooter start with a good setup. But spend more money on practice and training. I'm 65 years old. So most of my service was with M16A1s and M16A2s. My civilian rifle was a Colt SP1 CAR. Similar to a XM177E2. I still have it and it's still a lightweight effective CQB carbine! I do have a few modern kitted out carbines Cheers 🍻
I agree, something about the GI rifle. I’m some ways it’s like holding an M1 Garand or M1 Carbine. There is nostalgia and sentimental value in the standard issue rifle
HONESTLY, I just love the "HEAT" Vibe that the shooting you do in the video gives off. Its like you're Val Kilmer's son training for that big bank heist. That should be the plot and opening scene for the second movie if they ever do it.

I've shot a real full auto HK416 and I own a semi auto KAC SR15 build. I'll take my custom KAC over the military/LE 416 any day of the week, and the 416 is the highest end AR platform the military issues. High end commercial rifles are generally far better than standard issue military stuff. The only advantage military rifles offer is having full auto, but that's not a huge help in most situations.
I’d particularly like to see a colt m4 vs a cheap diamond back or m&p, since those are becoming so popular. The ar 15 is americas most popular rifle. That didn’t happen from everyone buying Daniel defense. It happened from people buying springfields, diamondbacks m&ps, PSAs etc

The "point" is that selecting fire option is why the other side fears these items so much. That is why they keep calling ARs "Assault Weapons". What the Other Side keeps ignoring is that the People are SUPPOSED to have similar weapons to the Active. The Founders said so. The Constitution says so. The Militia Acts say so.
During the entirety of US history civilians always had better equipment available than whatever the military had as standard issue. In the early 1800's the military had smoothbore muskets, the US citizen had rifled muskets; In the Civil War the military had muskets and later on single-shot breech-loading rifles, the US citizen had lever-action repeating rifles; During WW1 the military had bolt-action rifles and pump-action shotguns, the US citizen had semi-auto rifles and shotguns; During WW2 the military had semi-auto rifles, the US citizen had submachine guns and machine guns; Now the military has ARs stuck in 2010 while the civilian market continues to push the envelope in small arms technology.

First off...great video. I have very limited full auto experience; but I agree with your points. Also full auto can burn through your ammo in seconds. "well regulated militia" translates to "state of the art military arms in the hands of the people". The primary purpose of the 2A as stated in the prefatory clause is to enable the right of the people to abolish or alter tyranny (foreign and domestic) as stated in the Declaration of Independence. A well regulated militia is one that is not out gunned.
The M4A1 is the pinnacle of standard issue fighting rifles. I think the platform being modular is a very useful thing that the army doesn’t fully take advantage of
I personally think that there's a lot of terminology that needs to be tightened up a bit. If you know what I mean, you know what I mean and it's those people that call a gun a different gun by putting one different accessory on it. All of a sudden now it's not the same gun. This also applies to the stupid SBR rules of a brace versus a stock. It doesn't make it a different gun. It's still the same dang gun. If I take an AR-15, shorten the barrel and put on a different stock. It's still an AR-15. It just has less range because the barrel is shorter. It's not automatically a short barrel rifle. It's still a dang on rifle.
20:46 That comment fucking killed me! Also, I love that you brought to light that we put thousands of rounds on our rifles, and the barrels don't get changed; I never heard anyone talk about that before.
I only fired my M4 full auto a single time and it was only to familiarize us with how it feels. And thinking back, I’m not even sure if we got a full mag for that
My dad was in the marine corps when they were going to the A4 and he said even the civilian guns better quality cuz you financed the gun yourself and didn’t have a shot out barrel. He even talks about how the new American made AKs are way better then the imported ones for QC alone and yes little more expensive but you know where it’s made and you can always contact the manufacturer if there’s issues.
In majority of cases, yes. Let’s be real. The norm is PSA/Anderson/DPMS/M&P Sport/AR556, Amazon red dot and/or MBUS, Olight. If that. Weapons are expensive and unless you’re really into firearms, you probably aren’t prioritizing a $1000+ rifle over anything else.
Civilians will always have the ability to change equipment as better technology arises, the military has it's restrictions, though with good reason for organizational and logistical purposes. Also, if you own a gun, join the GOA and FPC.

Best thing is I don't have to buy Chemlights ever again. :)
The military pays 5-10x more than the weapons are actually worth. If people can afford ferraris they can afford tanks and aircraft if they were priced for the civilian market.
@Kamraam 100%. And the free market wouldn't allow them to overcharge arbitrarily. If they weren't willing to charge reasonable prices, someone else would happily take their place.
Just a fyi Since the beginning of the Ukraine invasion, stingers jumped from $20k to $400k for the government to restock after we gave so many to them….
Which is why alot of these companies are secretly anti 2A because they dont care about the civillian market if they can get more money for less product with guaranteed orders thru contracts

Bringing in the "ship of Theseus" paradox is great. If I buy a base gun, say from Colt. And slowly replace the parts with upgrades after several years, including the upper and lower. If I never buy another rifle, is it still the Colt I originally bought?
People always focus on the guns, but what about ammunition? Should civilians have the same access to M855A1 and M995 ammunition? How about HE 40mm grenades?
Yup, we sure should. If tax dollars are paying for it, these people who sign for the military aren't special they chose a job that uses weapons to do a thing, so only directors should own fancy cameras?

Same in the Army. Only time we fired in full auto is when we had to fire off all extra ammo so we don't have to bother with turn in lol
Anyone who’s served in the military knows “military grade” equals cheapest thing the government could get, hence a lot of civilian ARs are actually better equipped and better quality parts than standard issue M4s
@@professionalschizo Good point. Military grade(At least in the past) would mean that it was very durable.
@@professionalschizo That depends on which PSA rifle you are buying. The premium CHF rifles are just as good or better than what the military is buying.
The military doesn't even go full auto unless it's your job as an automatic rifleman to go full auto and suppress adversaries.

I think back in Vietnam it was 50,000 rounds per kill. That’s why they changed to the burst to save ammo. But it was really just training
@@realitytroll1155really I thought it was cake. What didn’t you like about it?
I used 3 round burst with my m4 once in combat. Being empty after ten trigger pulls was stupid. I immediately switched back to semi auto. Excellent video. You spoke the truth. I was issued an M16A2 in the Marine Corps in 1996 and almost never used the burst mode. We shot semi auto FWIW.
It boils down to the effectiveness of the shooter; training, time on the weapon, smarts, and luck. And the bad luck of the enemy who happened to step in front of the bullet with his name on it. The weapon although important, is secondary.

3:24 “when you need to open up pallets & things..” 😅😂🤣🥲😝😎I’m fucking dead! TREX ARMS STAND UP COMEDY
The M4A1 is the pinnacle of standard issue fighting rifles. I think the platform being modular is a very useful thing that the army doesn’t fully take advantage of
Full auto isn’t always practical, but it’s still something we as civilians should be allowed to own.
Hay, you mentioned a good trigger, could you please tell me what it was, I am in need of one. Thanks for doing what you do.
I wish you would of said that trigger
20:46 That comment fucking killed me! Also, I love that you brought to light that we put thousands of rounds on our rifles, and the barrels don't get changed; I never heard anyone talk about that before.
I only fired my M4 full auto a single time and it was only to familiarize us with how it feels. And thinking back, I’m not even sure if we got a full mag for that
True pog….most pogs dont train in the field….
@@11binfantryfollowmeus.army95 nope. 11B. But we were a combined arms unit so almost all funding went to the tanks & brads.
During my time playing battlefield, I never shoot full auto. Well placed shots with the M1 Garand is the way!
Please make more videos. This was a great and informative.
Thank you for your videos and the informations you give us!
Dude, I really liked this episode! Well done man
Love my TA31 ACOG with Holosun 507c on top. Attached a Reticle Enhancement Module (REM ACOG) illuminator to the TA31 to give it the same abilities as the TA02. It also reduces the Reticle Bloom in bright daylight. It has 11 brightness settings so I can illuminate the reticle in all light conditions. Best thing is I don't have to buy Chemlights ever again. :)
The military pays 5-10x more than the weapons are actually worth. If people can afford ferraris they can afford tanks and aircraft if they were priced for the civilian market.
If the market expanded, the costs would be driven down. Simple as
@Kamraam 100%.
A HK416 will cost like 1500$ or less
I’m broke and impatient. I buy hipoint carbines and just stash them everywhere so I can work my way to the next one. 😂
I was a combat engineer for a while, and I built my own rifle a while back and I'll be damned if someone tells me that mine or any modern ar-15 is worse than an m4 the only thing theve got on us is select fire (which is gay)
You're an engineer just make it full auto in minecraft

Bringing in the "ship of Theseus" paradox is great.
If I buy a base gun, say from Colt. And slowly replace the parts with upgrades after several years, including the upper and lower. If I never buy another rifle, is it still the Colt I originally bought?
People always focus on the guns, but what about ammunition? Should civilians have the same access to M855A1 and M995 ammunition? How about HE 40mm grenades?
40mm is pushing the definition of "small arms". But, IMO, yes.
Yup, we sure should. If tax dollars are paying for it, these people who sign for the military aren't special they chose a job that uses weapons to do a thing, so only directors should own fancy cameras?
@@roflchopter11I do not recall the 2A specifically mentioning “small arms” 🤔 interesting.
Private companies have owned warships in the past. So why not?
@@savvycivvy5644oh, I know. Buren says we can have ICBMs with nuclear warheads since there's not history and traditional of regulating them in the founding era
In my opinion all the depends, who is employing the rifle. There are civilians that shoot way better than military personnel with an AR15/M4 clone.
Being a good shooter is only ONE skill set of a soldier. Moving, coms, first aid, tactics, survival, etc. A soldier has a much wider skill set.
@@xxxlonewolf49 Im just a nobody and l work as firearms instructor for a nobody company in several theaters, l have seen several infantry units from a few branches, that can't perform any of those tasks you mention and frankly it is sad. Now l would say the MARINES are by far the most disciplined.
I don't miss full auto personally, I just miss that we don't have the choice.
I would love to continue to point out that when I was in the military I was issued an AR-15. Not an M-16. It literally said AR-15 on the side of my gun. It was made by Colt. Courtesy of the first branch to accept the AR-15 as the rifle. Pretty sure mine was one of the originals because of how much it sucked 🤣.
What are your thoughts about the IWI ZION 15? I recently got one. It's my 1st AR. I realize it's not the highest end of rifles available but I am really curious about your thoughts Its a 16 in barrel. I put irons on as well as an optic and sling.& a fore grip My only gripe is I wish it was the 14.5 inch but wasn't available at the time. This rifle is always sold out! Thanks. 23:48
Most "Military Grade" M4s are equivalent to a budget AR like a PSA, SW, Springfield, etc. Many ARs are far better than "Military Grade".
Is PSA really that good?
@@FierceMouse haven’t had any issues with the 2 uppers I’ve bought from them
@@FierceMouse For AR-15s? Yes. For AKs? not at all.
Yea dude, when i was in the CG it baffled me they basically knew jack shit about guns, and the rifles and pistols issued when having to do a boarding or anything like that were literal dog shit. I mean its the coast guard i went in with low expectations but they even fell short of that, they would look at me like im nuts when i told em what i had of my own lmao. But then u also had taclet and msrt guys act like theyre operators when they barely trained and only “ops” they do is rolling up on some immigrants in a raft or drug bust with some people who dont speak english and had a pistol or two or some rifles and have no desire to get into any gunfight on a dingie in the middle of the ocean. But they sure acted liek they were out there interdicting somali pirates and shit😂.
@@zachdunn7714 I’ve heard the opposite
Watching the ukraine war videos, auto is used a lot.
The Ukrainian army also isn't as disciplined as the US military especially newer enlistment and international legioaries.
Luckily and thankfully Russians are even more undisciplined.
Yes trench warfare is 100% full auto. There is no opportunity for well placed shots, a lot of the videos I’ve seen have them reaching around a corner spraying at each other, it’s wild.
Russian doctine is to use full auto as your primary, semi is secondary. The ak74 selector order is safe, auto, semi auto. USA is opposite: safe, semi auto, auto. Different doctrine and thought process
@@LDB670 While you're correct that Russians make more use of full-auto, the selector is actually designed for the opposite reason. In a panic situation you're going to sweep your AK safety all the way down - out of habit. That puts you in semi-auto fire. You have to consciously click the selector up one notch to enter automatic. It's actually to prevent everyone from jumping to full auto when quickly sweeping the selector.
@@oskar6661 you are an idiot if you think that’s why they are using full auto in trench warfare. They are literally extending their rifles over the burm and spraying. If you know multiple enemies are right around the corner of a mud maze you are 100% going to use full auto. It’s not because of doctrine.
The only time I ever used the god awful 3 round burst feature on my issued M16A4 was if we had extra ammo at the end of a range and we didn't want to go through the hassle of turning in ammo. The "drills" we would run when just trying to burn ammo were fun but ultimately pointless, basically just mag dumping.
Edit: on the mention of weapon lights, you're right, I wasn't issued one. I bought my own streamlight weapon light. Even with night vision and a peq 15 a white light was absolutely necessary
In 2009 while in Iraq, I was running a Comp 4 RDS, foregrip, and a surefire light with the pressure pad and flip over IR lens. What you are showing is pretty accurate to what we had in my unit.

Full auto sounds so good on an M4 though! It just sound different that firing super fast trigger on semi
I once asked an online group how much time they spent actually shooting vs perusing, buying, and putting together all these rifles they were always showing off. The most common answer involved lack of access to a range. If that's true then look harder or drive a little bit further.
Nice to see you back in action
What would be better to change recoil impulse, a silent capture spring and tuneable gas block or a big muzzle brake? Like how a three prong flash hider doesn't have the concussion of muzzle brakes.
