Heavy is the heart, I can't keep up the fight.
Tears fall on the ground, pain’s a real heavy sound.
In a world so cold, warmth feels far away,
But I feel the fire on this weary day.
Hope silently whispers, for I am not alone.

In the still of the night, Lord, come rescue me.
Chains of the past, gonna break their hold,
With love like a river, so warm and bold.
With a crown of thorns, He walked through the flame,
Bearing the cross, still He knows my name.

Through the shadows cast, I will find my way,
