DRONE SHOT AT THE START BY: / philip_halv
I quick chat about the gear I use on the road. With hiking and a lot of harsh weather, I've always needed a few things from my cameras. A small size with a decent weight. And weather proofing.
My OM setup has proven time after time to hold up with me throwing them in bags, dropping them and drenching them in rain and snow. In addition to some sand nightmares at the coast.
I am, like you may notice, not too focused on the specific details of gear. What works, works. And I find great joy in figuring out workflows from experience instead of just reading a guide.
Any topics you'd like me to cover? let me know.
Thanks for watching,
K
I sat up in the couch when the camera started falling😂
Raised my blood as well 😮💨😂
loving the upload schedule lately. Nice insights and cool to see you shooting with non full format cameras, I've been getting a blast out of my fx30 lately which is apsc and I've been using it to get into videography. I was unsure about it when buying since everybody is shooting full frame these days, but the compactness of the lenses for smaller sensors was convincing. have you ever fiddled around with Fpv drones? would be amazing with a sub250 grams (for legal reasons) drone in your amazing landscape!
FPV would be too much hassle for me, with a bunch of gear and unstable batteries in the car haha. But I plan to get a Mavic Mini 3 or something to help out with these when budget allows more things 👍
Another great video Kasper. You are very inspiring and I really enjoy the calm that you bring to us through your dialogue and videography. Well done, please keep it up!
Thank you for that Paul!
Smashing out the videos lately! Really enjoying them. Your style is so unique 🙌
Cheers Andrew!
Ha! I was pretty sure you shoot with a sony FF. Try switching to Apple M1/M2 based laptop. Power consumption declined dramatically for me
I have the early M1 based one, but so much charging of cameras and stuff as well that I need a better battery setup for long edit sessions on top of that 🤝
The reflrx for me 😅
🥷🏿
Some very wise words Kasper! Sometimes stepping into that unknown and pushing yourself is exactly what’s needed, I’ve been in that position many times and learned so much. As well as realising it’s not as difficult as first thought.
Loving these videos as always! Need to get myself to Norway and experience some of those seriously epic views
Just sneaking those views into the background of everything here 😬☺️ definitely worth a visit!
Honestly, your videos look like you have been doing UA-cam for > 10 years!
Outstanding quality as always!
And your videos make me want to buy a Disco 4 haha, damnit!
Greetings from Belgium, and keep up the good work!
Hah thanks 🙏☺️ they’re easy to love, as long is they’re taken care off!
We shoot with a GH5 and GH6 with those Oly 12-40 and 40-150 2.8's and love them! A cheap, sleeper lens that is amazing at low light is the Lumix 25mm 1.7! Love the series btw...audio is tits!
Great Vid - I am interested in how to start working remote. You said you are a photographer for your profession. It would be cool to understand how to make a living like you do and tips on what you do and how to do it.
Love the production on your videos, can I ask more about the mic though? as you say your sound quality is well produced with no shouting at the camera! and I see the transmitter on your back, but I don't actually see the mic itself, or the windscreen which I would assume you need to use, what mic are you using?
Nice Vid but makes me kinda agrassive that you have your Camera equipment exposed on a dusty Car Hood hahaha
dudee that opening shot is sickk. keep up the good work, i always get exited so see a new video of you on YT
Thank you 🤝
You're a big inspiration man! Thabk you for this.
Thanks man🤝
Cool again. Never heard of lens with f stop under 1.0 before, been out of the game over 15 years, although just last week i bought a roll of film... I think i remember Nikon had film lens 50mm at f1.0 it had huge glass upfront, that 3/4 frame of yours looks tiny. 'Best' i have is 50mm at 1.4, felt like that was decent performance for price. I might just pull it out again. Cheers!
Like I said in the video, is more of a “fun” lens. Fully manual, without even without auto focus.
And that’s why it’s possible to have it at 0.95 and still be a really cheap lens.
1.4 is really good for a normal lens. Most of my other lenses are fixed at f2.8 and that’s more than ok for most of what I use them for🤝
He used the Land Rover parking sensors to cover up his curse
😂😂
your channel is inspiring, calm and original. my 11 months old baby sleeps from hearing the calmness of your video 😂
People falling asleep to my videos 😮💨🤌 don’t know if it’s good or bad haha! Thanks 🙏
I thought the camera was the one you left at home ;)
The intro is incredible. Some scenes seemed to be cut of, however. Others were just perfectly composed.
Thanks man 🤝 some bits cut off due to sound or to short brakes between saying something or doing something. Trying to make these as efficient as possible instead of spending 3 hours extra on “unnoticed work” 😅
Can we see your work on photography?
Nice video! What suction mount do you use to mount you camera to the window? And do you only mount it to glass or have you tried mounting it to the hood of your car or other surfaces?
I’ve used it on paint, in the vinyl on the hood and a bunch of other surfaces. It’s from DELKIN 🤝
I love the addition of live voiceovers. It adds in a bit more of your personality and charm.
Glad to hear that🙏
Really liking the new content Kasper 👍 Enjoying your journey. Great stuff
This video almost turned into an excuse to buy a new lens
Haha 😬
Depending on your style or assignments, most photographers can cut their gear down to three lenses and two camera bodies. Less can be so much more. Keep on rolling!
Great life advice Kasper, what your father told you about cars is very true, and the best way to understand something and how it works is to roll up your sleeves and take it apart & put it back together. Something I have lived by for quite some time now. Another great video, keeping me company on my Holiday, cheers
Love your videos. Keep em coming ❤
Thanks 🫶
but you didnt say on which camera this video has been filmed
olympus EM5 III which is the former version of the new OM5. Had it as a loan 🤝
@@kasperhoglund love your content, i found you yesterday and im stunned. keep doing this amazing work
Very inspiring stuff! Keep up!
Thanks 🙏
better video title might be "Why this camera is so important to me" or "This camera changed my life". something more personal ! right now it's very generic
True, and changed 🤝 thanks
great video
Thanks 🤝
Solide greier.
UA-cam leverer av og til! Veldig hyggelig å høre
Beautiful!!
Thanks!
Awesome!
Thanks 🤝
thanks for this content, so amazing, beautiful, calming and helpful, all in once 🤩🫶
Thanks for that 🙏🙏
Great video, Kasper. Amazing opening shot (which I'd love to know how you did? Drone?) and the audio has improved substantially over the last round of videos. Better audio levels and EQ. The rig updates also look awesome. Keep it up!
Thanks for that! A guy I met here shot it with a FPV drone (race drone with a GoPro). Link to his insta under the video 🤝
Awesome shot.
Bro i love your content! You have a reallly good quality filming, I don't know why you don't have more followers, but I'm here supporting you!
if I can ask, which drone do you use? the first part of this film was amazing
Thanks man! I actually don’t have a drone at the moment. Had to sell my old one some while back. But a buddy of mine filmed the intro with a FPV drone. Basically a racing drone with a GoPro 10 on it!
@@kasperhoglund looks great! ♥️♥️♥️
Have you got any affiliate links to gear mate?
Not as of right now🤝 but should probably sort that!
No drone?
Used to, but to many new laws here at the moment so I traded in the Mavic Pro 2 and are aiming for a lighter class 👍
I love the sentiment, Kasper.
A friend once asked me "Do you ever get stumped?" to which I replied "Constantly!". To him, I seemed like I knew loads about everything, whereas in reality and from my perspective I just learned things as and when I needed to, solving problems and issues myself - be that a car problem all the way down to maintaining my own ski gear.
Thank you for the videos.
p.s. Great reactions.
Thanks man 🙏 I honestly love figuring out new things. Best feeling when it eventually works out!
