There's something extremely terrifying about enemies agreeing with each other that they have to be quiet if they're gonna kill each other because if not all of them will die. Also slowly SNEAKING towards each other in complete silence knowing that the person infront of you wants to dig you six feet under

Instances like this were rare. Not in the sense that opposing raiding parties wouldn't encounter each other in no-man's land, that did happen. Rather it was rare in the sense that when encounters like this did occur, they would usually ignore each other instead of fighting it out. Nobody wanted to fight in that war, nobody wanted to kill or be killed.

This scene gave me chills honestly. I liked the other kings man movies but this one is my favorite hands down. They always stretch the reality/realism in the franchise but I would say their were a few good scenes in this movie that seemed very realistic, let alone historically accurate. Like when the German mouthed to be quiet or they’ll both get shot because they don’t know who is who out there, and the Brit’s are like “alright then let’s go mate” as he pulls his melee weapons out.

For example, a fantasy world shouldn’t play by our laws of physics, but should damn well abide to its own. If the wizard says that flying magic is impossible and someone does it in the next scene, that’s not realistic to the _world._

The German with the hammer is a freakin' Angel of Death who is just utterly terrifying.
It's one thing to see him in a movie, but can you imagine encountering this big, hulking mass of muscle that doesn't seem to have a "face" or anything remotely "human" about them? It's so dark that you're already having trouble seeing where everything is, but you watch this "monster" proceed to (brutally) go through a few people who might have been your friends... and then he turns his attention on YOU.
Honestly, I don't think I have the stuff for combat like this. Way too animalistic.

Scary thing is that that person (or character if you wish) used to be a "normal" person with dreams and hopes as anybody else. But the war turned him into a blood thirsty thing. What's even scarier that there is probably actual real cases of this. Where war brings out the worst of people.

In the bonus features for this movie, they committed a whole segment on the making of this fight scene. Its cool hey they made this scene with the intent of showing the brutal nature of real close quarters trench fighting, not just for the sake of the story. And then even in the behind the scenes footage of this fight, both in rehearsals and in the actual filming, every actor is giving their 100% to portraying a no-holds-barred visceral fight to the death.

In the first one, the experienced agent dies and the new guy has to go save the world, we the audience expected, let’s be honest, the first Lancelot to be the hero of the movie, he was shown to be so bad ass, but his death 5 minutes in was reverting expectations. Like valentine said, this isn’t that kind of movie. So by this movie, we’re expecting it to be about Conrad and maybe his father dies saving him or something, but with Conrad’s death it’s another reverting of expectations. It’s the movie saying “you expected Conrad to be the hero to save the world? This isn’t that kind of movie bruv.” Not to mention how harry explained the origins of kingsmen to eggsy in the first one. Rich socialites outlived their children and invested their money into making their clothing company into a spy organization that even the governments didn’t know about. So based on that exposition from the first movie, Conrad was doomed to die.

Basically the Germans realized super quick our lads are a tad bit soft and just are coming back with the amount of ammo they went out with so they took up training the types of lads you see in the video above. Stormtroopers right vicious chaps who were trained specifically to go out grenade trenches and hop in and finish guys off with knives and clubs to do that they had to be hard men indeed. That’s not ACCURATE I hate to be that prick, but German StoßTrüppen (storm troops) were not trained from day 1 to do trench raids because regular German troops were ‘a tad soft’
Storm troopers were handpicked from veterans already serving, and then were sent to specialist training school for 2 months to learn raid and infiltration tactics. And I wouldn’t say the Germans were soft, they held off and inflicted higher casualties than they received against British, French, Australian, Canadian, New Zealand and Indian troops on just one of their fronts, while also beating back the Russians in the east and even sending troops to face the Italians, and THEN it still took the yanks to finally crack the German army. They're Stormtroopers.
They were trained for "trench fighting" to serve a purpose of causing a place where regular soldiers could breakthrough the enemy line.
